Well this is pretty self-explanatory; My suggestion is that we
should be able to earn Activity Points by fishing at Emera Beach.
This would give us a new way of earning APs during Event
Distributions.
APs earned from fishing could be categorized under 'Other'. Every
successful catch could earn a set amount or AP, or this amount
could vary according to the rarity of the catch. The AP limit for
each category would remain unchanged and reset every hour.
This would be good especially since many of us are playing the new
Emera Beach feature!
Has anyone compiled a list of fish rarity yet? I know Toothie's
working on a complete Emera Beach guide.
Although I guess in a way I'm working on such a list, I've been
keeping a fishing log for the past several days here
Or, alternatively, it could be based on energy-use? Some Pokés
require 4% of energy (ie, Magikarp) while others require 8% (ie,
starters). Though I'm not too sure how that'd work according to
items (they take up 2% energy).
What about a catch escaping? Energy cost is 1%, but should AP be
rewarded for something that gets away?
@Argentis, if this does happen, and this is just someone else's
opinion, but it could be that you get half of how much percent it
takes to do it. Meaning that you wouldn't get anything from not
catching something. Just a thought.
Just remember: You can't prove God didn't crawl out of the ocean.
@Shino, that could work, and would stop the numbers from adding up
"too quickly". Like catching 5 Tentacools in a row is still 20% of
energy and suddenly boom, 20AP.
Or maybe it should be less? Since energy can be renewed by eating
food/waiting for it to replenish.
@DavidS I heard from somewhere that coinflip gives random AP? I
don't remember where I heard that from though, so that might be
misinformation.
What about hourly cap? Would 50 like Game Center be fair? It is
possible to catch 50 things in an hour (or so I've found
personally), but not necessarily every hour (see: energy
replenishing rate without food)
