robin shrugged and continued to brush her teeth, still a bit sleepy
since she had just woken up.
''i've not messed with the soap dispenser...'' she muttered.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
''hey storm...'' maxwell muttered, dropping down from the branch
above the small deck and leaned against the side of the treehouse.
Storm smirked. "I thought you would have been out here, Max." She
walked over to him, her eyes shut as the light breeze hit her face.
"Why are you out here alone? Couldn't sleep?" She asked, looking up
at him and opening her eyes. "What's on your mind? Something's
definitely bugging you, I can tell." She added.
he blushed slightly out of embarrassment and gritted his teeth.
''you practically know what's bugging me, and you know how much
i've fought those idiot's in that horrid place.... i couldn't sleep
cause my mind wouldn't stop bugging me..'' maxwell muttered.
Jet slowly raised her head to see a group of the flock already
awake. "G' Morning guys..." She had a hard time getting to sleep
last night, in fact, she only got about 4 hours of sleep, and she
was a late night person. Jet looked at the bathroom door and saw it
was in use, so she face planted on a pillow.
Storm chuckled a little. "You're not the only one, why don't ya'
come inside?" Storm asked, skipping indoors. She headed into the
kitchen, struggling to reach the cupboard above her. Her petite
size did have its flaws. She gritted her teeth. "Dammit..." She
murmured under her breath, jumping to try and open the cupboard.
She forgot all about her wings.
Tari stumbled off the floor groggily, yawing. " I fell off again?"
She snickered. "What a loser!" She quickly put a coat over the
shirt she slept in, she ran her fingers through her hair, pulling
out knots with effort. She looked out of the doorway. "Gee pee,
when did this place ever get so big?" She mumbled.
he walked inside and stood beside her, reaching up as he opened the
cabinet.
''you forgot about your wing's again didn't you'' maxwell said,
simply grabbing a box of cereal and going over to the fridge.
Jet looked at Storm and simply said, "Wings?" She gave a cheeky
smile and got up. She stretched her wide, dark wings and tucked
them in again. She looked outside and yawned for a bit, trying to
eventually wake herself back up.
(I typed this up and lost by five seconds to Wolf lol)
Tari dropped back into her room. She sat back down onto the pile of
messy blankets she called her bed. She herself never liked to be
elevated off the ground when she slept. Although sometimes she
slept on her dresser, which led to most of the strange breaking
noises the flock heard at night. She stretched
out her wings, the joints felt stiff as she never really liked to
fly.
"Heh... I guess I keep trying to think I'm a normal kid, forgetting
about my wings..." Storm murmured, embarrassed. She flew up and
took out some pancake mix, placing it neatly on the counter. She
shut the cupboard slowly and landed back on the ground, her wings
folding up and disappearing behind her clothes. She bent down and
opened a rather large drawer, taking out a large black frying pan.
Jet couldn't hold her hunger in when she saw the pancake mix. She
rushed up to another cupboard and took out the honey, maple syrup,
Nutella and golden syrup. "Okay, who wants what?" She asked, still
airborne.
Tari sighed. "I swear I don't know anything about anyone here." She
got up, stretching her wings more. She wanted to leave, but was
afraid her wings would be to stiff to make a trip anywhere but the
ground. She looked at her medium wings, creaking around her body.
She folded her wings, afraid that she would be ridiculed by how
ugly they looked to everyone elses. She sat near the entrance of
her room.
''do you need any help?'' maxwell asked, setting the milk on the
counter before he closed the fridge.
he looked up at jet and blinked.
''i'm technically having cereal, but i'll probaby get a spoonful of
the nutella'' he said.
She sighed, her stomach grumbled. She stood and spread at her
wings. She rolled her shoulders. "Okay you can do this. Even if you
feel like a stone guardian, you can do it." She leapt onto her
dresser, took a small step, fluttering crookedly and flat out
ungracefully. "Of course." She landed. She looked around at her
'nest' of a room.
(Wait, is Tari at the treehouse? The school? Does she even know the
other characters? I thought the whole flock stick together...?)
Storm shook her head and turned on the hob. "I'm sure I'll be
fine." She replied. "Thank you anyway!" She placed the frying pan
on the ring that was on and put on a little butter, running it
around the pan by tiling it in different directions.
''alright then'' he said, then went back over to fix his bowl of
cereal once he got a bowl out of the cabinet.
he opened the box and poured some into the bowl.
Tari walked back over to her blankets, making her wings as small as
possible. She put a blanket over herslef, hoping the excuse of
being sick would be enough to hide her wings. She walked out,
cautiously, holding tightly onto the blanket. "Hope they don't care
I'm late." She sighed. "Their always on my case."
The butter had finally melted in the pan, with a mix of pancake
mix, eggs and a few other ingredients, Storm waited for the mixture
to begin cooking. In the mean time, she opened another draw to find
the spatula, rummaging around to try and find it.
She walked into the room. The smells seemed to be colourful. She
coughed fakly. "Sorry I'm late this morning. I apologise dearly."
She said, her wings quivering under the guilt and sudden warmness
of the room.
