Hello, I'm Amuu, new thread owner here! Akemie has struggled to have spare time for the V3 thread, so I have decided to make a new thread! She will be helping me out still, so hopefully you'll see her around!
Please be sure to read and follow the rules.

• Art level doesn't matter but show effort!
Please take your time and work on your art piece properly. Don't just draw a stickfigure with a pencil and call it a day.
No sloppy colouring (e.g. coloring outside of the line, heavy white parts due to sloppy colouring).

• You can draw digitally or traditionally!
But make sure to do a proper photo in case you draw traditionally (no dark, blurry photos where you can't see anything).

• Claim before starting to draw!
If you don't claim and start to draw, there is always the possibility that someone else claims the post before you.

• You can't claim someone who has you blocked!
Respect their boundaries.

• If you claim you have two weeks to finish your art.
Don't claim someone and never finish the art. This would be considered a scam and results in a warning. If you for whatever reason can't finish your claim, please inform me.

• You can either send the finished art privately or here.
This is totally up to you. But please edit your claim-post with either the finished piece or a small message (e.g. "Sent!")

• You have to wait 3 posts to make another claim.
This is to prevent users from only doing art for the same user over and over again.

• The maximum amount of claims you can do at a time is 2.
You need to finish them first before you can claim more.

• The OC you want art of has to be owned by you.
Exceptions are: If it is gift art for someone or fanart of something.

• Linking multiple characters for the next person to choose from is preferred but NOT required.
The bigger selection of characters, the bigger the choice for those who are claiming next! This helps them choose something they are much more comfortable doing.

• Post a clear reference of your OC.
Do not just post a description, colourless sketch or a small sprite.

• 3 warnings will result in a ban from this thread!
If you break a rule you will get a warning. Severe or multiple breaching of rules might result into a ban right away. 1 warning will result in a timeout. See near the bottom of this thread for further clarity on this.

• Your claim will likely be skipped if you violate these rules.

• If you have any problems with your claim or any other user here feel free to message me or one of my helpers!:

Here is further clarity/transparency on our strike system:

Show hidden content

0.5 of a Warning:

• Low effort art (1st time)
• Claiming too soon/more than 2 claims at once
• No clear reference/asking for a design

1 Warning:

• Low effort art (2nd+ time)
• Account is younger than 3 months
• Claiming a user that has you blocked
• Artwork is heavily referenced

2 Warnings (this will result in a 1 month ban):

• Not finishing art within 14 days (without contacting us)
• Stolen OC
• Stolen/Traced art
• Did not draw what was requested
• AI Artwork

The 3rd warning will be anything that violates our rules after your 2nd warning. This will result in a permanent ban from this thread.

You will be contacted via PM if you have been issued a strike.

Now that you have read the rules (sorry for the wall of text but I want to make sure everyone understands it and feels fairly comfortable), here is how the thread works:

Hello! Welcome to Pokéheroes!

To shiny hunt, you have to buy a Pokéradar from Emera Mall! It costs 150k Pokédollars or 500 Nuggets.
Upon buying the Pokéradar, you then have to activate it to begin your hunt! To do this, you need to use 50k Pokédollars, 50 nuggets or 50 electric gems. Then, you start your hunt!

Like a lot of Pokémon games, chaining is done via egg hatching. You can put your Pokémon in the daycare to breed your eggs, or you can hunt for them in the tall grass or lab (if you're lucky!). It takes 40 eggs to reach max shiny chance, and hatching any other Pokémon will break your chain, which means you'd have to re-activate it with the fee. You would also have to re-activate after hatching your shiny. If you:

- Do not want a fee to activate your radar
- Do not want your hunt to end after hatching a shiny
- Want your chain to have an increased shiny chance

You will have to buy premium currency with nuggets from Emera Mall.

Other ways of obtaining shinies include:

- Random hatches
- Route 53 Honey Tree
- Safari Zone
- Fishing at Emera Beach
- Buying from other users

Just adding to this!

- You can go to Route 53 and find shinies at the Honeytree (Town -> Route 53 -> Honeytree). You'll need to apply honey to the tree which can either be bought from other players, or harvested from Combees you leave at the Honeycombs (Town -> Route 53 -> Honeycombs). Pokemon can appear at the tree, with a chance of being shiny!

- I can see you're Trainer Level 10! Once you reach level 12, you'll unlock Emera Beach! There, you can fish for Pokemon, with a chance for them to also be shiny!

- Keep adopting eggs from the lab! You never know, you could get lucky~

allow me to try and help you out a bit!
so, with an event the Pokemon is typically given some accessories/clothes, or a theme to follow.
for example, all of the current event Mareeps are themed around seasons, or the event Girafarig that's themed around a jester in colour scheme & dressed as such.

with a variant, it's all about how the Pokemon has adapted to a region and changed.
for example, with Hisuian Arcanine, due to the volcanic area it resides in, it turns a darker reddish-orange and its fur turns grey, likely to the smoke it's surrounded by. or, Hisuian Decidueye, who fights close quarters for its prey, hence why it has a sleeker form with bulkier legs. the extra layers of feathers it has allows it to insulate heat, keeping it warm in the typically cold area of Hisui.

tldr; a regional variant is a Pokemon that has adapted to the area it's in in parallel to where it's from. an event is a Pokemon that has a theme given to it without reason, sometimes given accessories.
