So, here it it! The back of an elbow joint.
At the end of the drawing, I decided to go over the outermost lines of the bones, but I don't know it this was a good decision. Also, I don't really like the shading (like a draw too much lines and there is not enough contrast). Any tips to improve that?
I dont see anything wrong with it honestly? It's kind of hard to achieve something from normal pens if you're not used to shading with it. If you want to improve on the shading, I think it would've been easier on you to do these kind of studies in pencil.
If you want, where the light meets the dark on the shading, make a single line a bit darker. That's what we call the terminator.
If you notice in the sphere, you can probably see what I'm talking about. The color goes from light, to kind of dark, to really dark, to kind of dark again, and then to a bit lighter. You can only properly shade these kind of things if you study the shading fundamentals on primitives, like spheres, cones, cubes, etc etc.
And good advice! I'll make sure to try it out as soon as possible.
I do have to work on shading, but I think I'll keep drawing the bones with pen (I really like that I can't erase anything). I hope your next improvement challenge comes soon, Mari, so I can work on it with pencil.
Unfortunately, I can't stay any longer. I hope this will work out better for me next time.
I can show you more about shading in the hangout, if you want. There's things about reflected light and cast shadows that can jumble up your brains if you don't quite know what's going on.
(I did get Marikot's permission to post about it~)
I'm even working on a closed species/adopt :3

If Mari doesn't mind me asking, I wanna ask what everyone's been making art of in the last month

A pic for a Secret santa tread
And four cute chibi dragons from Flight Rising
Just this thing in a whole month and wasn't even intended to be as "clean" as it is (I was intending to do a quick messy sketch for kimono ref)
I need to art

There's base work (on my personal base, lol) lots of MLP stuff, Some colored sketches, a commission, and a few pieces that I actually worked rather hard on.
The three that I'm most proud of, though, are the chibi humans on the bottom right (I don't usually draw humans, lol), the dragon on the bottom right (spent lots of time on it), and the design on the bottom left (though it's partially cut off. in the screenshot)
Kinda getting a little overwhelmed with drawing again, so now the motivation just isn't there :x
& tbh, I kinda got obsessed with playing the long dark again .-.
this ones' probably the one I'm most proud of atm, I hate drawing zorua/ark so much, but somehow managed to make this bby for someone .-.
Non-pokemon related, theres this one I'm really proud of, especially since its' my first portrait-like drawing I've done in years
