@Everyone on here who's complaining about it being digital:
if you have any sort of apple device, there's this one app called
ibisPaint X that could help you with this stuff. its free and
there's plenty of time to play around on it. you could even just
trace over your traditional art and work from there!~
@Kizuna22 Thats my point of course the people that have uber
expensive softwares and tablets to draw are gonna win.
I'm sorry, but this comment is so inaccurate. A program does not do
the drawing for you. It takes time and skill to learn how to use
use the program and you are still the one making the lines and
choosing the colours ect. This comment makes no sense. Google
amazing paint program art and you will see for yourself. Also, I
think the digital programs are far cheaper in the long run because
you don't have to buy all the materials which can get soooo
expensive.
I admire traditional artist and think they should be able to enter
as well, but because riako decided to make it digital only, please
don't bash digital art.
Please only post submissions and questions in this thread :) (And
answers to questions, in case you're 100% sure you know the
answer). Don't post "working on it!", "excited!", "wish I was a
better artist" etc. in here.
Please make sure to read the full first post before asking
something. It answers almost all questions.
Yes, the format is 650 x 1000px.
Yes, only digital art is allowed (any kind. Even pixel art, vector
art etc.)
No, traditional art is not allowed. Reason: In 99% of the cases it
doesn't look good as an advent calendar background on a
website.
Also the argument "users with expensive art software will win" is
not true. Every digital artist can confirm that art is not about
money in any way. As other users already said here, many apps are
free and there is also GIMP.
You can submit as many artworks as you want. The best artwork
automatically qualifies.
You are allowed to put your signature on it as long as it's not too
big. You're not allowed to put a big watermark on it.
Yes, you can create your own Event Pokémon for it.
Yes, you can use PokéHeroes' Event Pokémon.
Yes, you can also include human beings (e.g. trainers). As long as
there is at least one Pokémon on it.
I'm thinking of entering this, but I have one question. I feel like
you've answered someone whose asked this previously when I was
skimming through the posts but I never caught the answer, are we
aloud to put you (you as in Riako the ducklett) in the entry? Just
asking before I start so I don't have to redo it. Thanks!
What do you mean by that?
As I already said, you can (and also have to) put at least one
Pokémon in the drawing. Ducklett is a Pokémon, soooo.... yeah?
