"We better get out of here before we have to explain anything to the blue idiots. I hate Jenny..." I muttered as I opened the emergency exit. After whistling, Poochyena trotted to me. Turns out he was looking around the hospital the whole time. I gave Psi the signal and opened the door.
Her eyes met with David's, at first. They both had known each other. He looked at her confused, but couldn't do much else win Jonah rushing out in anger. Apparently, he hadn't seen or heard what happened. She did consider this a good thing, to a certain extent.
She couldn't do much else, considering she had to get out of here, along with Garnet, to prevent their questioning.
David was once again silent as he started the car but Jonah could tell what he was thinking. Did the Entei in the hospital have anything to do with Mewtwo earlier? Honestly, Jonah himself couldn't be entirely sure the two incidents didn't have anything to do with each other. The car ride was once again spent in silence as the two tried to organize their thoughts. They reached the warehouse way too soon and Jonah braced himself to what was coming, there was no way out of this.
Kalos was one the most well developed region in this wonderful yet mysterious world of Pokemon, it was just as great as any other region. There was a fine system of things and it had it's own league of aristocrats and nobles. The Xavier's were one of the more popular ones amongst this fine line of people. The comman man in Kalos would think of the Xavier family in his own bad way, he would think of them as spoiled rich people who have nothing better to do in this world than to waste money and spend it on pointless things. Truth be told, they were exactly what the common man thought they were, well atleast most of them were spoiled...
One child who carries the Xavier family name was not at all, spoiled, he was quite the eccentric child. The hier to the Xavier family fortune, Lucifer had no interest in such a waste of time. This young boy preferred to battle and read books rather than to go to pointless parties and business meetings. He had a whole room of hundreds of book shelves, each and every book from different exotic places were kept hidden and safe from any involantary harm. He spent most of time there, studying and learning with his starter Pokemon Argonaut (shinx). This particular behavior of his made his parebts worry about the future of the great Xavier family. Lucifer trusted no one exepct his starter and the silence of the room where he kept his prized possessions at.
With Lucifer in his library/book nook
The books were great company, they don't complain or disturb you, they just silently let you learn the contents of the topic they hold within themselves. Time passed by really quickly while one is reading, I was reading a book about the ancient prophecies of the world of Pokemon. It was really intruging, the way people in the past thought of the future, how they protrayed happenings in this era and the era after this one. Argonaut was looking at the pictures and observed them with great interest, I patted his head and grinned at his cute behavior, "You think reading is nice don't you?" He replied with a gentle nod answer went back to looking at the picture. Our precious time was soon disturbed by a knock on the door. I closed my book and allowed who so ever it was to come in, "Come in..." It turned out to be my bottles with the early news, "Good afternoon young master, would you like to read the news for any recent happenings in town?" I nodded and he reacted quickly by handing me the paper. The front page read about sittings of a legendary Pokemon near the hospital. I smiled and motioned my buttler to leave us alone then gripped my necklace that was given toe by my late-mother when I was just a child. Many things ran around my mind, but I just simply sat back and spoke, "Interesting...isn't it Dialga? A legendary Pokemon to be spotted near a hospital..." Argonaut looked at me quzzingly and resumed to what ever he was doing. My necklace glew a little then a voice echoed inside the room, Interesting indeed, Lucifer...I have a theory that entie has chosen his master... Argonaut jumped on my lap and sat down, "Like you chose me?" I questioned the great diety. My necklace glowed more bright and heated up, Correct young one....
They managed to get pretty far from the hospital. Psi was pretty sure Garnet was going to end up with huge hospital bill, after this, but now they had even bigger troubles on their hands. She sighed in relief and then began to speak, "Garnet, Garnet, Garnet... Oh, where to begin..."
She looked at the ground, not sure what to really do at this point. Should she try to get the Gym Badge or just go straight home and as far away from that hospital as possible. "My point is, you don't need Team Rocket, the Police AND a street gang after you. That's just torture." Her Fletchinder came out of its pokeball and flew around, restless. It was obviously itching for a battle. Maybe she would go to the Gym, after all.
She took out the Crimson Scale and summoned Yveltal. The legendary created a gush of cold wind as it landed in the area. "Hey, think you can watch over us, when we sleep?" Yveltal nodded and said, "Sure, I am your Guardian Pokemon, after all." Psi nodded and thanked the legendary.
"You needed me?" he asked.
"Could you light us a fire? I'm afraid we'll all freeze to death by the time I start it," I gently told him. He nodded and lit the sticks with ease. I petted him softly as he stood there, probably a little embarrassed. He made a nest/bed out of old bricks and dirt and lied down with his eyes barely open. I smiled as I sat by the fire.
"Hey, Yveltal, what was that term you used to describe yourselves, I mean, as owned by us?" "Ah, Guardians. That would make you a Guardian Trainer or a Guardian's Trainer, whichever one you prefer." She nodded. "I see, so we're called Guardian Trainers." She repeated this, because she wasn't completely sure if Garnet could understand what Yveltal was saying; after all, she couldn't understand a thing Entei is saying, while Garnet could.
"Yes. I have one more thing to tell you, before scouring the area for trouble: you should prepare for a life of hardship. All people, but especially Guardian Trainers, will see a different in the way your lovely planet runs." Psi wasn't sure how to respond to this message, but after a while, she came up with the right response, "I see. Is that why you tried to get me to go in the Secret Base and to go see the fight, because you knew about Jonah being a Guardian Trainer and knew that he was involved with those things? You want all the Guardian Trainers to be ready and being together raises our chances of getting through this?"
She didn't have a problem saying these things in front of Garnet. She felt like she could trust her, at this point. Yveltal smiled a wicked-looking smile. "You figured things out pretty quickly, huh? Tsk-tsk, guess we learned today that not following my cues is a bad idea." Psi rolled her eyes. "Well, I'm off." It said and then flew off to scour the area for any signs of trouble.
Bobby spoke after a short moment of awkward silence, "So, care to explain what the heck happened." Jonah still didn't think he should tell everything he knew. If he was lucky, he would get out of this alive. "Actually, I don't know much more than you do. Mewtwo just came out of nowhere when I was about to get my brains spilled over the ground." Bobby just stood up and walked closer to him, "We both know you're lying and we both also know what happens to those who lie to me, don't we? However, lucky for you, you're too valuable to us." Bobby carried on walking past Jonah and openened the door to let two other guys inside. "But I'm gonna teach you a little lesson."
'The lesson' as Bobby liked to call it, was too familiar to Jonah since he had been the one to carry it out several times. He watched as the other guy went over to the fireplace at the corner of the room and picked up the iron bar. Bobby liked to stigmatize those who crossed him and Jonah had to admit it was quite efficient. It would be an everlasting mark of shame and no one wanted one on their skin. Jonah gritted his teeth together as the other guy came from behind him and grabbed his hair, revealing the back of his neck. He bit his lover lip, as the hot metal made contact with his skin, drawing blood. He would keep his mouth shut, he wouldn't give Bobby the satisfactory to hear him scream.
It was over fast and Bobby walked over to Jonah as his henchman let go of him and gripped Jonah's hair in turn. Maybe he would really need to rethink his hair style, the mohawk was just too easy to take a hold of. Bobby brought Jonah on his eye level, staring with hatred, "You have no idea how much I'd like to see you dead right now so I suggest to not tempt me. I'll give you bit of time to rethink your answer before we'll discuss this again." He shoved Jonah little farther away and signalled for him and the two others to leave.
Jonah made his way through the curious eyes of his brothers and walked outside. He really didn't want to see the respect vanish from his subordinate's eyes. Yep, sometimes he really hated his life.
(Okay, this wasn't part of the original plan but I enjoy torturing my characters too much. :p)
Psi thought about her plans for tomorrow as she sat near the fire waiting for the need for sleep to overwhelm her. She was still wondering what she should do as soon as she wakes up: Go to the Gym, get the Badge and then go home, or should she just go home right away, to make sure things were alright over there?
She decided on the first option. I already came here, might as well go to the Gym, and besides, what could possibly have happened at home, anyway? Nothing all that bad, I'm sure. The looks on Jonah and David's faces didn't look like that of grieving, I'm sure my friends are alright. She sighed and moved onto a new train of thought. This whole time I've been training Fletchinder, only. Maybe I should start training Yveltal, too, though I'm sure that'll be more than easy considering how strong it is. She began to yawn, however, she wasn't fully tired, yet.
"PROFESSOR!!!!!" a girl screamed as the grunts invaded the lab, surrounding her. Two grabbed her by the arms and lifter her up. A zubat bit her ankle. The girl cried as the blood slowly tricked off her foot. Pain. It was all she could feel. The zubat flew away as two grunts (a man and a woman) came up to her.
"Why struggle? You belong to us now-" the woman was began but the man blurted out. "You technically belonged to us in the first place," he proudly said.
"Thank you for the unnecessary info, Karl..." she muttered, "for we are your parents. We left you here for good use in the future. We knew that the professor would take you in and teach you as if you were his own. Giovanni is expecting you," she hissed as she lifted the girl by her shirt. "You WILL come with us."
I woke up, breathing deeply in panic. Memories could be man's greatest enemy.
Instead, she shifted her thoughts to thinking about what kind of Pokemon she'll be facing at the Bug Gym, tomorrow. These thoughts didn't last forever as sleep consumed her, once again.
She went on her way to Santalune. She beat the trainers in the Gym and finally met up with Voila. The battle went smoothly. Surskit was a bit of trouble for Fletchinder, but she easily took it down in a few Pecks. Vivillion was even easier; it didn't take very many Ember attacks to bring it down, while its Tackle and Infestation attacks practically did nothing. She thanked Viola as she obtained her badge. She stared at it happily. Looks like all that training sure was worth it, didn't take anything to bring those Pokemon down. She slowly began walking out of the Gym after putting the badge back in its case.
"Psi left to defeat a gym leader. She'd be done by now but do you wanna see if she's coming back? I good walk would do you a favor," he said.
"I had enough yesterday."
"Sprinting for five minutes doesn't count."
"Whatever. We should probably wait here until she comes back. I don't want to cause any confusion."
"Your wishes are my command," Entei said as it went back to sleep. I called Poochyena out and the puppy ran around in circles happily. I shushed him and got a Poffin out of my bag (yeah, I'm really old-school XD). He stopped to beg, eyes huge. I laughed and threw the treat up into the air. Poochyena quickly leaped and caught it in one try. He made cries of joy while eating. I got up to look around the alley.
"Wait, how do you know Psi left?" I asked.
"Yveltal told me," he replied.
