Aroura helped Evander hand off Zack to Toby and Hoody Then she
grabbed Evander's hand. She didn't want to leave his side. Not now
that everything was a mess!
Once Zack arrived in the infirmary he shifted, troubled with
memories which came to him in the form of dreams. Zack could be no older than 7 or 8. He sat in the shadowy
corner, as if the darkness would comfort him as his class played
around in indoor recess. A few of them pointed at him and
snickered, the scrawny boy averting his gaze from the rest of the
class.
That's when he saw it. A faded figure began to form, a smile on
it's face.
"Hello, Zack."
Evander and Aroura walked quickly to Slender's room. When they
arrived they were greeted by Masky, who said that Slender would be
there shortly. "H-He's taking c-care of the b-body." He said
haltingly, trying to contain his emotions. Evander placed a hand on
his shoulder. "It's okay, we can wait."
Aroura walked over to Masky and hugged him. "I'm so sorry. Sorry
isn't enough, and I can't remember Jack. I feel horrible."
She released Masky and sat down in a chair. Now that the adrenaline
was wearing off, she felt physically and emotionally drained.
Zack looked around, the class oblivious to what he was
seeing.
"Hi?" He greeted, though it turned into a question from his
confusion. Why wasn't anyone else noticing a ghost in the middle of
the classroom?
As if reading his mind, the ghost answered. "I'm currently only
visible to you, of course."
That made a little more sense.
"Sooo... who are you?"
Zack's eyes blinked open before he remembered any more. Well,
that clarifies a bit, he thought. A bit more information would
be nice, but at least he knew why the ghosts acted to casual around
him, since he'd dealt with them for about 10 years. He climbed out
of the infirmary bed, looking around. He braced himself against a
wall as a wave of dizziness passed, but otherwise he felt fine. Lets see here, where would the others be?
First, he located the exit and walked out, immediately deciding he
had absolutely no idea where he was.
Slender walked down the hall slowly. He could have just teleported
to his office, but he really didn't feel like it. It was always a
tragedy when you had to bury one of your children. He saw a boy
step out of the infirmary down the hall. That must be the newcomer
Jeff had told him about. Not really wanting to stop, he simply
walked past, beckoning with one of his tentacles for the boy to
follow.
Synthia woke up in a small dark room. It looked quite similar to
her room at Slendy's house. Looking around, she saw no one in the
room with her. Seeing that the door was open, she got up and crept
over to it. Peeking out, she found that her room was at the end of
a long hallway. The hall had many doors along either side, each
with a different symbol, or a different color palet, signifying who
the resident was
(It's fine Sylvia. We're at kind of a lul in the story, where not
much is going on, so for now I don't really mind one liners.)
As Slender entered the room with Zach, Masky stood. "Please sit."
He said, gesturing to the now empty chair. "We have much to
discuss. We'll get the trivial things out of the way first. Zach if
you would like, I can restore your memory, though if these two are
anything to judge by, you will probably have a gap in it of the six
months leading up to your arrival here."
Zack took the seat. At the question Zack thought for a moment. From
what he could tell, he was already starting to get his memories
back, but then again he was curious about his past.
"Sure," he finally said.
"Very well." Masky said as Slender reached out with one of his
tentacles. Evander watched as he touched it to Zach's forehead. He
jerked slightly then sat motionless. Masky turned back to them. "It
may take him a moment to process his memories, so we will continue
as time is of the essence. We must discuss the problem of Synthia"
He gestured to Evander. "I believe that you retrieved something
from the field where you met this so called Candy Pop." Evander
pulled the small bell out, handing it to Slender.
Zack waited. And waited. He didn't feel different at all, or
remember anything else for that matter. It was as if something in
him rejected the memories, like there was something in him that
didn't want them. After a moment he blinked several times before
looking back up.
"Is it normal that I still don't remember anything?"
"Uhh, no..." Masky said, the confusion obvious even through his
mask. "That should have worked. It worked on Aroura and Evander.
Maybe if we tried again?" Slender shook his head. "No." he said
through Masky. "If your body has rejected the process, then there
is a good reason. Whatever your memories hold is something your
mind does not want to relive." Evander was quite confused. What
could have been so horrible that Zach's mind would refuse its own
memories. Why had his mind not done the same? His memories were
pretty horrible...
Aroura looked over at Zack. How horrible must his memories be to
have your mind actually refuse them? She looked back to Evander and
shared a look. Hoping to change the subject, Aroura asked Slendy,
"Do you recognize it?"
She pointed to the bell in Evander's hand.

Slender held the bell at arms length. " I do recognize it. It
belongs to that demon jester Candy Pop. But I'm more worried about
who he might be working for. Masky, hand me your lighter." Once he
had recieved the small object Slender lit a flame beneath the bell.
Nothing happened at first, but then a great hissing noise came from
the metal. The hiss formed into two words. "HE COMES" The words
sent a chill up Evanders spine. No, it couldn't be. Please don't
have taken Synthia to that... that thing! Slender spoke again.
"This is what I was afraid of. We won't be getting Synthia back
easily. I will not speak his name, for it may allow him access to
the building. Names have power you know. Anyway you two wouldn't
know him anyway." He thought for a moment. "As much as I dislike
the fact, we need assistance. I need you three to go to Centros and
look for information. See if anyone knows the location of the one
called The Blank Eyed Ghost."
Gale woke up in the middle of a hallway "Where am I" gale said as
he got up and looked around. Then gale went through a couple doors
and wondered where he was going.Looking around he thought he heard
something, but thought he was just hearing himself.
Aroura could feel Evander tense. She didn't know why that bell was
bad, but if Evander didn't like it, she didn't like it. She stood
up with Evander and thanked Slendy. She was anxious to get Synthia
back.
"Let's go," she told Evander, heading for the door.
