Calliope
Callie was doing her best to not bust out the magic wands and slap Annabeth's dagger away from her. Like seriously, a dagger against magic? No contest. Unless Annabeth still had one of those vitamins from Hermes, there was no chance the dagger could even harm Callie. Before she could react, however, the Carter guy used a spell on Percy, making him scream in pain. Annabeth went from threatening Callie to attempted murder. With a reluctant sigh, Callie stepped in front of the Carter guy. She couldn't let Annabeth kill either magician. They knew her brother.
"Annabeth. Calm down," Callie tried. "It's just a small curse. Easily dispelled."
At that point, some random boy showed up and dispelled the curse. Callie blinked at the fortunate turn of events. "Uh, thanks. Yeah. As for keeping a supposedly dead brother from you guys...what about you two? You've been keeping secrets from the entire camp for how long? Two weeks? You've been acting out of character for the past few days. Something's up."
Cautiously, Callie pushed the tip of Annabeth's dagger down, trying to think of a way to pacify the violent Athena girl. "And it's Percy's obsession with blue that caused this anyway. Here."
Callie focused on the Mist, bending it to her will. Manipulating the Mist was easier than actual magic, plus Callie didn't want to get chased by Riptide for what she was about to do. She raised her hands warily, as if in surrender, then snapped her fingers against the air. There was a swooshing sound and Percy turned into a dolphin-headed demigod wearing blue clothes.
[And hopefully got everything alright .-.]

Annabeth
Annabeth chuckled upon seeing the dolphin-Percy, and the latter made random dolphin-noises in protest. "It's complicated," she said, "Could you turn Percy back so he can answer in human language? It needs the both of us to explain this." Somehow, Annabeth had nearly forgot the magicians, one of which spoke. "I bet it's just a glamour," said Sadie. Annabeth, for once, actually had no clue to what the magicians were talking about, the whole 'Egyptian Magician' thing confusing her. "And I hardly know these people," she said, motioning to Carter and Sadie, "I don't trust them."
Seeing Percy's face when the curse was used was almost as painful to Annabeth as the actual curse would have been. If that was a small curse, she didn't want to know what the more powerful ones were like.
Calliope
Callie nodded, relieved that Annabeth didn't seem all too eager to murder anyone now. She glanced sideways at Sadie and shot her a half-smile. "What you guys called a glamour is what we call the Mist."
Callie thrust her hand outwards, picturing Percy back to normal. There was another loud swooshing sound and Percy reverted to normal form, looking quite ruffled. She let her hand drop to her side before speaking again. "I trust them. My brother was like them, and he's the reason why I even made it to camp all those years ago. And from what they're saying..." Callie swallowed the lump in her throat. "Then he might actually still be alive," She finished simply.
Subconsciously, Callie reached up to touch the diamond ring hanging on her camp necklace, along with all the beads. She had never been able to get Kane to infuse it with his magic, but it was still a connection to him. However, he did have her emerald necklace that was infused with her magic...and if it had worked, he would still be alive. "I just wished they didn't move into New York," Callie thought bitterly. "I might have been able to know if he was still alive."
Kane
Kane studied the copper staff morosely. It was definitely glowing now. Images flashed in the emerald and disappeared as quickly as they came, blurring his reflection.
"Woah, Kane? What is that?"
Kane jumped, pointing the staff instinctively towards the person who just entered his room...Jaz. He flushed brightly and hastily withdrew the staff. "Uh, hey."
[Could someone RP Jaz for me? I kinda forget her personality and stuff.]

Annabeth
"Where to begin... Yes, the nightmares," Annabeth said, twitching uncomfortably. "A giant snake was in them. More than giant. Colossal. It really freaked us out. Nightmares. Not much to worry about, right? Well, in our case, there is a lot to worry about! Demigod dreams aren't accidents. You know that. Giant-evil-snake-nightmares are weird even for us. This snake ought to be somewhere, maybe killing people as we speak," she explained, "I tried to get as much research done as I could, but I couldn't find anything—anything Greek, anyway— that looked like the serpent. I was distant from everything else for a while. The nightmares, they changed our very selves. Our personality, everything." She paused. "Right, Percy?" she asked.
"Decided to remember me, huh? Carry on with your explanation. You wouldn't want me to get in the way," Percy said gloomily. No, this wasn't Percy. It wasn't him at all. The nightmares hadn't effected him that much, as far Annabeth could tell. The tone of voice wasn't him. That sharp edge in his words wasn't ever present before this. It was the nightmares' fault. That would be her excuse. Annabeth looked over to Callie, silently asking for some help dealing with 'New Percy'.
Calliope
As Callie listened to Annabeth, she felt chills slither down her spine. Apophis. The Chaos snake. Kane had never mentioned it, but then again it wasn't something ten year olds would talk about. When Annabeth mentioned that the nightmares had changed them, the usual voice in Callie's head whispered, "Only I protect you from that..."
She shook it away. That voice was neutral. If it did protect her, then it wasn't pleased about it and was just forced to. The sharp edge in Percy's words momentarily stunned Callie. Though she didn't know the son of Poseidon too well, by the look on Annabeth's face, he wasn't like this normally.
"I've been having nightmares too," Callie admitted, finally. "And you're right, it's not Greek. It's Egyptian. Apophis, (Callie shuddered) the Chaos snake, enemy of Ra. My dad teaches mythology, but Kane never mentioned it." She laughed dryly. "It wasn't something you could bring up in everyday conversation. As for your altering personalities..." Callie focused on the son of Poseidon.
She could detect a faint trail of dark energy in him. It seemed that Apophis had taken more interest in Percy than the others, and hadn't truly left his mind. "Percy...when was the last time you fought a monster?" Callie asked, her eyes flickering from Carter to Percy, slowly figuring out the puzzle.

Percy
"It's been a while," Percy admitted dryly, "It's good that the war's over. I needed a vacation from monster-fighting. Now go ahead and leave me alone for a while." Apophis, huh? Isn't that what chicken-man called the snake? Something immediately pushed the thought away. 'You don't care. Why should you?' He'd be fine leaning against a tree for eternity. Well, at least until he died. Actually that seemed like a decent idea. He'd think about that later... 'Good Percy... Good idea,' the voice in his head chided.
The Voice, which he had named after a TV show of the same name, was cold and comforting in its own weird way. Voicey (let's just say that was the weirdest of all the nicknames he'd given it) had come not long ago. The longer it talked to him, the more he listened to it. It was Voice logic, and he never questioned it. There was no reason to.
Callie worriedly glanced at Annabeth. She might haven't been close to the son of Poseidon, but she knew there was definitely something wrong. Percy sounded almost...cold. "Carter," Callie said softly, almost afraid, "do you have a shabti I can use?"
She didn't bother explaining why. In a blink of an eye, she was in front of Percy. "This is going to hurt," Callie said, clapping her hands on Percy's temples before the taller boy could react.
Thankfully, he wasn't too tall, and Callie could reach his head quite easily. "Congelo," Callie intoned, making a light frost cover Percy.
It wouldn't last long, but it would be long enough. Callie inhaled deeply, and hurtled straight into Percy's thoughts. She went faster than what was considered safe, but Callie didn't really want to see Percy's thoughts on Annabeth. Like, really, too much information.
Her physical body was practically heating up - magic took a lot out of the user. Nevertheless, she continued to skim through Percy's mind, searching for the dark energy that she had felt. Suddenly, she was yanked out of control.
"Hello, Calliope," A dark yet, comforting voice said.
Callie struggled to regain control. "Leave Percy alone!"
The voice chuckled. "Interesting how loyal you both are. Very foolish, risking your life to save someone you barely know."
Calliope reached for her daggers. "LET. HIM. GO."
She finally could see the energy - a long sliver of black shadow. She stabbed downwards, and there was a spine-chilling inhuman scream. The shadow grabbed at her, and Callie willed herself out of Percy's mind. She stumbled backwards, away from the defrosting Percy, the shadow still tightly wrapped around her hand.
"Shabti, now!" Callie screamed as the shadow attempted to sinnk into her skin. "A minion of Chaos! Gods damn it! That ****ing hurts!"
