Baking cakes
Forum-Index → Suggestions → Baking cakesThat aside, I believe I've already said I support this, but if not, I support! ^^
There could be different parts to baking.
The first part is making the batter. This requires various ingredients, such as Moomoo Milk, Honey, and such. The flour is provided by the person running the bakery. Moomoo Milk can be bought at the bakery, but disappears from your inventory 24 hours after being bought. Milk doesn't last forever.
The second is the already-suggested part with the Berries. I disagree with. Harkness and think that there should be a time limit, because the alternative is making it completely random if you make a good cake even if you do everything perfectly.
The third is completely optional and is adding Sprinkles to the cake. Sprinkles can be found via an undecided method, and each one adds an effect to the cake. If you don't use Sprinkles, the cake just raises experience by varying amounts based on quality. However, Sprinkles let you do stuff like turning the cake into a love potion-type thing, or halting the Pokémon's experience, or making it luckier with Rumbling, or boosting stats, all of which were suggested before. You can only use one kind of Sprinkles per cake, and the effectiveness of the Sprinkles depends on the quality of the cake.
When you are done, you receive your cake. Cakes may or may not also expire or decrease in quality after a certain amount of time. Since not everyone wants these effects, you shouldn't be able to feed them to others, but maybe every user can have a Bakery section of his or her profile in which he or she can sell cakes for a price of his or her choosing, and where other users can send free cakes to the user.
Also, maybe the cakes can be PokéPuffs? Just a thought.
Edit: Someone suggested leaving them at the Honey Tree. Maybe they could lure different kinds of Pokémon? Alternatively, like in the Hoenn Safari Zone, maybe they can attract Pokémon with natures that like the flavor of the cake? (If we do this, and we also do PokéPuffs, we'd need to decide which PokéPuff flavors correspond to which stats; they're different from the Pokéblock/Poffin flavors.)
What does everyone think of these? Obviously, they're just my personal ideas to add to the suggestion, and it's not like they HAVE to be approved, but I would like to hear your opinions.
I see it could also give a Pokemon extra XP. Depending on what berries you mix, you get some extra help with honey trees, fishing, and boosting stats.
Of course, every kind of cake thing could be used for all of the above, but one recipe would help get more help with something (e.g. Honey) than another kind of cake?
