Just had an additional idea: Difficulties!

Easy: The shadow of the berry is shown (like in my image)
Medium: The NAME of the berry is shown
Hard: The description of the berry is shown.

This is a very good idea! I support completely; this would be an extremely fun way to increase stats and such. I also support difficulties, especially if they affect the outcome; for example, a cake/Poffin/PokéBlock made on Hard is better than one made on Medium with the same recipe, while a Medium is better than an Easy. I also think that a higher difficulty level of difficulty should allow you to choose from more Berries; for example, Easy could be four, to follow the example in the image, but Medium is six, and Hard is eight. This makes you less likely to get duplicate berries, because if you find one berry and get it right the first time, you're probably not going to mess it up later in the same recipe unless you mis-click.

i totally hate cooking and baking in real life but for PH it sounds awesome. Full support from me^^

The effectiveness should vary with difficulty:
Easy might give 50 exp points.
Medium might give 150.
Hard might give 300.
Also, there might be a super mode where you are timed, and there are 15 berries needed and all your berries are shown. It would have the name of the berry to make it easier, but at the end you can add a 'special' berry to give the cake an extra effect, like a super cake could give 500 exp points and a boost to the Pokemon's exp points gained, maybe 5%? But it is different depending on the berry. But there would be a hunger limit so you can only feed a certain amount of cakes to a Pokemon. But Kyogre would be able to eat more than Cinccino, it's just logic!

Crazy.

The Super Mode could use the e-Reader berries from Generation III, if it's used! ^^

What if there was some sort of recipe system? Like you could find a recipe while rumbling or something. Or maybe just the recipe unlocks after you successfully experiment with berries? Like randomly putting in a Pecha, Oran, and Rawst berry, and it turns out to be a real recipe. Then that recipe would be "unlocked", and put in your recipe list to view at any time. And here's how the baking would work (I know, it's drawn horribly, but I had a short time to do this in, and I didn't have enough time to make it look like I put effort into it.):

Yes, that's a scrolling thing on the right side of the recipe list. Yes, I know it's barely recognizable. Deal with it.

I imagined something similar. Like buying basic recipes at the shop, finding them via Rumble and finding them randomly when baking. I planned it that when you go to the baking page, you start at your recipe book, choose a recipe and then come to the screen I made.
But you could a "free baking" button to the recipe book, where you just experiment and try to find recipes yourself! (Like Death said)

Also maybe a counter while normal baking like 1/3 showing your mistakes, and when you made the 3rd mistake (clicking wrong berry), the cake burns/fails.

I don't like the idea getting better cakes if you try the hard mode...
Not this way... I like the idea with different difficulties, but maybe instead of getting instant a efficient cake, it raises the chance of...anything.. like unlock recipes while cooking (hard ->50% chance easy just 5%?) or "excellent cakes" which can obtained through all difficulties, but the hard difficulty made it easier to obtain (again a percentage chance... 5% for easy, 20% for medium and maybe 50% for hard? or higher? like 25,50,75%?)

Oh yeah and an effect to add: Breeding helpers! Increased the chance of getting eggs from daycare for one day! +5%, +10% and +20% maybe (3 different recipes! or excellent cakes..)

And what about cooking Lvls?
While cooking you can increase your Level... Each lvl gives you.. dunno +0.5% for getting an excellent cake or something?

This would be a interesting mechanic I'd love to see... Support....

There could be a bakery in the Emera mall, in the bakery we could have a mini game like the gem Couldren where you move the berries into a pan, mix it around and add ingredients and such. Then depending how you cook it and mix it the more results it comes out as. This could also be a battle item to feed to our Pokemon to boost stats and such.

We could also get Moo Moo milk on rumble missions to add different effects to it

And some ideas from me -

-Like the gem cauldron, there is a small chance of failure. After all, not all souffles rise!
-There isn't a time limit to putting the recipe together, you just have to get it right.
- These can be used to raise exp like berries do, except slightly higher.
- You can feed them to friend's pokemon
- If you give the Daycare Man "Love Cakes" to feed your Pokemon, during the next hour, their breeding chances go up 1% and the cost for their care drops to 40 pd apiece. (Not stackable, but can follow each other)

I give my support, there also would be nice if we could find more stuff when rumbling or just surfing the website! Like Casteliacones, Moo Moo milk, and maybe Tiny/Big Mushrooms?
