Okay so we're getting some visitors today, my mum made some cake and I was returning clicks here, when I suddenly felt the urge to bake some cake with berries on PokeHeroes... Pretty strange, huh?

I guess everyone knows the PokeBlocks from Ruby & Sapphire or these other things in... Diamond and Pearl (?) you could get from mixing berries? How about we have something like this here?

We could have several recipes found during Rumble missions, they require specific berries to succeed and could be used similar to Zinc and other Vitamins, boosting a Pokemon's stat.

Oppinions?

Yes, of course Honey could be used for several recipes! Thanks, didn't think about it.

I love the idea of baking/cooking something on Pokeheroes with several recipes. But boosting stats with them isn't a great incentive, I think.
Maybe it could have a more special effect?

I've been thinking about having another use for berries for awhile now, and this sounds great! Special effects, though... everything I can think of is too extreme. :S

Maybe it can tie in with the 'fishing' request (if it gets implimented)

We can bake cake/poffins/blocks to get a higher chance of getting rare pokémon?
Or put them under the honey-tree, so the pokémon stay longer after they've eaten the honey?

Yes, bait for fishing sounds pretty nice. And as a treat for Honey tree Pokemon as well. Like, luring a Burmy to the tree with honey, and give it a cake (let's just call it that for now) to ensure it stays for a while without eating the honey.

Nice idea I always loved this kind of things :p
Both the fishing and tree suggestions seem nice

Maybe you could use them on pokemon you send to rumble areas so they have a slightly higher chance of bringing either more money (for less items) or more items (up to 10 but you get less money) or rarer (but less) items. Not all at the same time but maybe depending on what cake you give them and it would last 24h travelling maximum like 2 missions of 12h or 24 missions of 1h etc. Or maybe if you give specific cakes to pokemon they may get more EXP (for evolving for example even thought not much more EXP, maybe hm a 2-5% more of what it would get?) or they may get less EXP (maybe in case you want to keep your poke low level or you dont want it to evolve but you dont have any everstone, same it would be 2-5% less than the usual or more if needed) or there may even be a cake that makes them not getting any EXP at all! Note that the EXP cakes would affect one poke and would last one day maximum.

Or maybe if you give specific cakes to pokemon they may get more EXP

NICE idea! But maybe not a day, but 1-3 Lvl up(s)?
Or they give instand exp, like a rare candy, but not a whole lvl.

And i had the idea maybe you just can sell them (at a higher price than the berries all together of course) and rare recipes gets you more money of you sell your cakes (yey an alternate PD trading system...you can avoid the taxes! xD)

I would like this if there was the chance of messing up. I just find things more enjoyable if it's a little harder. I remember in the games, you could burn them if the berries didn't go together right or you left them for too long.

Kurumi thats another nice option I think :p

Tailowb, the question is how would you mess it? Because I dont know how you will. Unless you have to discover the recipes by trying ;p (if anyone played Professor Layton and the diabolical box, you could get tea recipes by trying ingredients so maybe this could be a nice option(

You could buy a small baking set at the shop as well as some basic recipes. And you could have a chance to discover new recipes when baking. Maybe it could be like the old Pokeradar minigame, like you have a bowl in the middle of the screen, and the berries you need for the chosen recipe at the bottom and need to click on the berries at the right time to successfully bake? And when you don't have the right timing, you fail?

That could be a good option. The basic recipes could work for small things, like getting a few EXP for a pokemon, or even the first idea you had Mirej; the vitamins and that kind of stuff, you could have basic recipes for these. The idea like the pokeradar sounds good, imo :3

I don't like the idea of them messing up randomly. That sounds like it would be a waste of berries and other stuff... unless you need to bake it in specific time period and if you're late it'll burn. I like that option because it doesn't rely on luck to determine whether it comes out good or not.

Fear my epic paint skillz0r! Just to show how I imagined this baking thing.

So first you choose a recipe (which maybe shows you if you have the necessary berries). Then something like this would appear:

And you would have to click the berry (the 4 on bottom are the ones needed for the recipe) that is shown in the shadow above the bowl. This will be added to the counter to the right, and if you clicked all 10 right, the baking succeeds. Of course the berry shadow will change if you don't click the right berry in time (like the shadow of the Pokeradar disappearing), but this won't make it fail. You only fail if you click the wrong berry, so if you are not sure, you can just wait for the next shadow to appear.

This would be awesome to have! :D I've been reading through all the people's comments and your drawing (Mirej), and I think that if you mess up once, it shouldn't be completely failed, just half or so, depending on the rarity of the berry. Then, if you mess up a second time, it'll be completely messed up :P

Well a burned cake or whatever we decide to call it could still count for some. Just not as much as an accurate one.
