Yuki didn't seem concerned, but then again her mask blocked
her expression as was. She looked back at the shoreline, less than
a mile away. She stayed on her ice platform, and looked back out to
sea.
Snowrunt crawled in her lap and looked out as well. It looked at
her hands, at the sea, and shivered. It was curious as to what was
going on, why were they swimming? As soon as Snowrunt noticed her
master was not in her domain it panicked and set out too look for
her. Almost a full year of solitary confinement. It was likely for
someone to leave that on a whim one day. Though it had happened.
And that is when she found Yuki here.
Yuki licked her lips, where her hands were a light frost settled
in. It cracked like spider webs and melted away. The field seemed
to counter any attack, or power placed upon it. A deep sigh heaved
from the bottom of her lungs, her shoulders rose and then fell with
her breath. Her exhale sent tiny shimmery dust like ice to taint
the air and then fall.
Euan nodded to the Milotic Gijinka before closing his eyes and
letting out a long exhale between clenched teeth. Okay, so maybe he
wasn't doing all that well. He could already feel his body becoming
numb, the cold sapping away at his strength. He had to get out of
the water before he couldn't move anymore and sank.
His movements already a bit sluggish, Euan swam towards the ice
bridge and tried to pull himself on to it. No matter how hard he
tried, though, he couldn't get a hold on the slick surface, and he
slipped back under the water. Crap, crap, crap! he panicked,
coming back up with a bit more of a struggle.
Seeing his distress, the Murkrow flew over and flew in circles
above him, not sure what to do. Euan looked back and forth quickly
from the bird to the Water type Gijinka. "Nevermind, I'm not fi-"
he started to say, but water splashed into his mouth and he choked
on the words.
Aqua quickly swam after the Flygon on the Murkrow's request. She
grabbed his hand and pulled him higher so he wouldn't choke on the
water. "Here, I'll bring you to shore if you want," she offered the
Flygon, "It shouldn't take more than 3 minutes to get you to
shore." She slowly moved her legs in the water to keep afloat.
He shouldn't have tried such to fly over water. Those wings
could be damaged so easily.
Not knowing what else to do, Euan nodded. Though he was very
grateful for the Milotic's help, he couldn't help but feel a twinge
of annoyance. Way to screw up, Euan, he berated himself.
In your rush to meet new people, you nearly drowned and had to
be saved by someone you don't even know yet. Great first
impression! He felt like an idiot and since the feeling was
nothing new to him, it made it hurt even more.
Aqua looked to him and said, "Don't worry about it, your no the
first I've helped. Now hold on because your going to go faster than
you've ever gone." She grabbed his wrist and made him grab her's so
she wouldn't loose her grip. She went under but, made sure his head
stayed above water and started moving across the water as fast as
she could. They traveled through the water as fast as she could go
with another person. They still moved very fast and let go of his
wrist when they reach a spot where she could stand with the water
just at her elbow's. She walked out of the water and brushed off
her shirt. After about a minute she was completely dry and she
smiled. It's so convenient that water types dry so quick. It
would be such a drag if it took as long as most Gijinka's did.
She turned back to look at the Flygon boy. "I'm Aqua by the way,"
she said smiling.
Euan walked stiffly over to the shore and lay down on the sand, his
body faintly recognizing the sensation of heat. His skin was pale
and he shivered fiercely; he would not be getting up anytime soon.
The Murkrow landed beside him, cawing in concern. "I-I'm Euan," he
said through chattering teeth. "Thanks f-for the save back
t-t-there." He gave Aqua as big a smile as he could manage, which
turned out to be little more than a smirk.
[[I just hope people don't think this this is a strictly
Giinka RP because we are waiting for replies on the human side of
it. uwu Hopefully it won't get lost, hehehehe.]]
After she could no longer look at what she could never access she
stood up holding Snowrunt close to her chest. The fabric fell in
and wrinkled due to the new pressure added. Her flat shoes made a
light tapping noise with each patient step she engaged in. Her eyes
feel onto the water being and the flying being. She had not noticed
him before, but the manipulator of water had made her presence
clear.
The bridge of ice was falling down, falling down, falling, the
bridge of ice crumbled behind the fair lady. It broke into large
chunks, like a weighed down glacier and hitting the water, making
it raise and shift angrily. It licked the shore line with a greater
haste because of the cause and effect rule. She dipped the toe of
her shoe in the sand, resembling a being who would dip their toe
into a body of water to test the temperature. Deciding it was not
too dreadful of a temperature she placed her feet as firmly as on
the shifty sand as possible and walked over to the others.
Her eyes skimmed over the shivering creature. She wished she felt
as cold as he did. If only she could swap body temperatures like a
Pokemon would swap moves. Though oddly enough he did not look right
when he was cold. He were colors of a fresh Spring and Summer
nature. What a silly man, trying to change to Winter.
Aqua looked at Euan sympathetically. His face was pale and he was
still freezing she came up next to him and crouched down. She
wrapped her hand around his wrist hoping it might help him warm up
a bit. Most people thought water type Gijinka's were cold blooded
but they were rather warm so they wouldn't get very cold in the
water. She hoped it would help him warm up at least a little. She
brushed his wet hair out of his face. It couldn't help that his
clothes were wet.
"Huh?" Euan said in confusion as Aqua took hold of his wrist. A
slow, steady warmness emanated from where her hand met his skin.
Oh, so she was trying to help him warm up. He smiled a bit a bit
wider, but then flinched as she moved his hair out of his face. He
moved his head away awkwardly. He was thankful for her help and
all, but they had only just met and he still had his personal
space.
"Murkrow!" the Murkrow cried, flying to the other side of him. Euan
looked over to see what had caught her attention and saw the
Froslass Gijinka standing not too far away, the Snorunt in her
arms. She examined him with her scrutinizing stare, her face
passive. He resisted the urge to shrink back, but couldn't bring
himself to meet her icy gaze.
Aqua saw his reaction to that and let go of his wrist and backed
up. "Don't get any wrong idea's, I was just trying to help," she
said snappishly. She turned around to walk over to the Frosslass
when she saw Tobi fly over. "Hey, Tobi," she said waving as he came
down and landed next to her, "Haven't seen you in a while huh?" He
fluttered his wings and smiled at her. She bent down and pet his
head. "Wanna meet the Frosslass over there too?" She asked Tobi and
he nodded. She walked over to her and smiled, "Hello, I'm Aqua."
Her eyes met Aquas's as she made her way over. Gazed
locked, set, and match. It took her a long while before she nodded
in acknowledgement. Her head cocked to the side looking over at the
man behind him a ways back. Then again at Aqua. Snow run shivered
with the group of her partner. It stared up at the other Pokemon
with a great curiosity. You normally only saw ice types where she
spent most of her life.
"Yuki Sapphire." she said in a whisper. She shifted the Creamy sand
beneath her feet. Admittingly this two had peaked her curiosity,
despite her dull gaze. The sun was too bright for her taste. Though
Sunny Day would help warm up the other Gijinka. Too bad no one
seemed to know of think of it. Maybe a strong gust would help him
dry off.
Seeing Aqua take offense at his sudden action, Euan wanted to kick
himself. Well, there goes strike two, he thought, frustrated
at his own stupidity. What else am I gonna be able to
mess up today? He watched as she was joined by a Togetic and
went up to talk to the Froslass Gijinka. The Murkrow tilted her
head curiously at the Normal type, but didn't move from where she
stood.
Not wanting to just be lying down while the two talked, Euan
attempted to pull himself up. Though his body was still thawing
out, he managed to clumsily bring himself into a sitting position.
He turned his gaze back to Aqua and felt the urge to apologize, but
he hesitated. He would probably just end up saying something stupid
that would make her like him even less. Shifting his attention away
quickly, he focused on trying to breathe feeling back into his
hands.
Aqua smiled and said, "So what brings you to the beach? I'm sure
your not to found of the heat, being an Ice type. Oh and this is
Tobi." She pointed at the Togetic that was next to her. She looked
back seeing Euan trying to come over but, stopped in his tracks.
Maybe I was a bit harsh. He probably feels pretty stupid already
after almost drowning. She looked at the pieces of the
collapsed bridge floating in the water. She looked back at the
Frosslass, "What exactly were you trying to do earlier?"
Bell awoke with a start. I overslept? Or did I? He thought.
I couldn't have I mean... "Oh just get to the real life part
of it," He said, stretching. "I can't get behind. I still have
things to do." Bell walked out of his room, grabbing his Berry
Pouch and starting to eat a Pecha Berry. I still have many
things to do... And I need to train for those pesky trainers who
want to battle. He thought, finishing off the Pecha Berry and
walking out of the camp. He knew he could find some wild Pokémon.
Then he soon found a patch of Pokémon to train up on, and he began
to train up on them, commanding his Herdier, who got focused on
something else, sort of following a trail. Ugh. Darned Herdier
smelling things. He thought, following.
((Hope this is fine. Just posting because I'm a human. [Hoping
everyone knows where the trail is leading so I can still sort-of go
along.]))
Yuki shifted her her weight on her other side. She looked
back over her shoulder at the sea. She was not fond of talking but
she had to explain this. It was not something a simple shrug of the
shoulders could handle. "I was testing rumors about the vault." She
let her Snowrunt down, and straightened out her Kimono. The last of
the ice bridge sank, melting completely without Yuki's assistance.
Her eyes went back to find there other two Gijinkas.
Her Snowrunt ran over to Euan and pushed on his back. She was
trying to help him sit up. She leaned against him after not being
able to push him up. Though maybe she could help. Yuki let Snowrunt
do as she pleased. She could take care of herself. Later she would
return anyway.
[[Edit: That is fine sweet heart! I am glad Team Dimension is
getting a start now. :>]]
Lee looked out over the shining blue sea towards the approaching
ferry, anxiousness building in the pit of his stomach. It was
finally time. He dug the ticket out of his pocket, fingering the
crease lines from the many times he'd folded it out of nervousness.
No more second guessing, he told himself. You were given
this because you're capable enough to follow through.
He took a deep breath and approached the man in charge of checking
tickets as the ferry pulled to a stop. Handing the piece of paper
over, Lee scanned the passengers already on board, trying to pick
out those he'd end up traveling with.
Crystal looked up when she saw someone enter the boat. She looked
at him for a second then put her head up against the wall. I
really need to get some sleep. I wish I could be alone so they
wouldn't see me shift back to normal. She started to loose
herself a tiny bit and her hair red highlights might have shown but
she pulled herself up and they went away. She yawned and rubbed her
eyes. She pinched herself a bit to keep herself awake and made sure
to sit up or she might loose focus.
Not able to spot anybody that looked like a fellow recruit, Lee
walked onto the ferry. The weight on his shoulders only seemed to
increase. It'll be fine, he kept reassuring himself, looking
for a good seat. No need to worry. These people don't know you
at all. It's a clean slate, Lee. Make the most of it.
He saw something out of the corner of his eye and turned his head.
At first, Lee didn't notice anything strange; just a few young
adults sitting with their Pokemon. But then one of them, a tired
girl with faint red highlights... her hair changed. The red
disappeared as she sat up straight, becoming black like the rest of
her hair. Lee raised an eyebrow. What the...? Well, I guess
here's as good a place to start as any.
Lee pretended not to have noticed and took a seat across from the
girl. Looking down at the floor, he tried to decide if he should
try introducing himself or not. Probably not a good idea. I
shouldn't risk coming off as a weirdo. And even if I did try, I'd
probably fumble with my words. He pulled a pokeball from his
bag and gazed at the shiny surface, not sure what he should do.
When Crystal or Scalene and Crystal he lowered his head. He
didn't want to admit it but he was a little disappointed. His
Kirlia seemed to ignore this about Raffaellu. His focus was on his
shoes as he shifted them, trying to draw lines in the wood like one
would sand. That was until the Ferry stopped. This was the last
stop of the day he thought.
He watched the young blonde walk in. Ruru smiled, excited to have
one more on board. "Hello, what's your name?" he asked seeing that
the new passenger was alone. "You don't have to worry, Crystal,
and[ Scalene are nice." he confirmed, point at each of the ladies
as he spoke their names. He turned back to Lee with a closed eyed
smile. His tone genuine despite his quiet voice. He was just trying
to make the new member feel welcome as possible.
The Ferry picked up speed, but not enough to disturb anyone. It was
on it's way to Sanctuary Island now. Ruru shifted, and his Kirlia
glared at Lee. "We
're almost at our destination." he said sheepishly. Not that it
would matter, it no one believed.
Lee looked up as a young man with green hair spoke to him,
introducing his companions. His gaze shifted over briefly to the
girl with black hair and the girl with a Chatot. Crystal and
Selene. Got it. He adjusted a button on his shirt nervously as
the other trainer smiled at him.
His Kirlia, however, was not happy at all. She glared at him and
Lee felt a brief moment of panic. Shoot. Kirlia could sense
emotions, couldn't they? He needed to calm himself down. Even if
she couldn't communicate clearly to her trainer, he couldn't afford
to raise even a Pokemon's suspicions this early.
He pressed the button on the pokeball and a red light shot out,
materializing into a Miccino in his lap. "Miccino!" Gale cried
happily. Lee smiled, already feeling his anxiousness melting away.
The little rodent was always so cheerful. He stroked Gale's silky
fur and the Miccino nuzzled his hand.
"...My name is Lee," he said, finally trusting himself enough to
talk.
