This dilemma came from where all cataclysms usually do. It came from an idea. An innocent, nondescript idea that, by the end of things, ruined friendships and relationships and all that.

In this world, there was a video game. Perhaps not the most dangerous thing, no, but it was addicting. The simulated reality within it was a version of our own, in which you could do anything, be anything, build anything, and create anything.

And within this world, in a private 'server', there was a plan, a proof of concept. A group of ten of the biggest content creators to be stuck within a world where they would be soulbound to another. Simple. ANy damage they take, you take. If you die, they die. Each group had 3 lives.

With the incentive of a $150,000 prize pool obtained beforehand, the games of betrayal and death began.
