Before my female Baxcalibur evolved from an Arctibax just a few
moments ago, my middle Paldea Research task said “Evolve 4 / 6
Pokémon of the Rare-Rarity originally adopted from Prof. Rowan's
Lab via Level-Up”. And, after this Rare-rarity Pokémon that I got
from the Lab evolved while it was on the Index Page, it still said
the same thing.
When it evolved from a Frigibax into an Arctibax about a couple of
days ago, that was recognized by the Paldea Research. But for some
reason its second evolution wasn’t.
Edit: Same thing just happened with the Pupitar I’ve had in my
party a long time finally evolving into Tyranitar. Has it been
changed so that you can’t get two evolutions anymore? That never
happened before.
As far as i know, second evolutions just counts for paldea research
when they are easy rarity pokemon.
Pokemon with medium, hard and rare rarity are not counting towards
the tasks in their second evolution.
What i can't assure is if those, medium/hard/rare pokemon are the
ones that are wrong or if the easy rarity ones are tge ones tgat
shouldn't be coubting when they evolve twice 🤷♂️
As stated by Riako here, only eggs have rarity. Frigibax is of
rare rarity, because there is an egg that directly hatches into
a.frigibax. However, arctibax is technically has no rarity since
there is no egg in PH that directly hatches into an arctibax.
Arctibax has technically no real rarity n only merely borrowing the
rarity of frigibax which is its preevo.
~razpberry, I understand what you want to say but in this case it
is not related.
If you have a weedle from lab, both their weedle/kakuna evolution
and the kakuna/beedrill evolution will count towards the "evolve X
easy rarity pokemon" task
But that doesn't happen with any other rarity evo tasks, nor rare,
nor hard, nor medium. The second evolution is not counting for any
of these rarities
