For context: The End of an Era is a 2100+ post long RP which was the first most active thread for a couple of days. I wouldn’t call it extremely good, but I’ve had a lot of fun RPing.

This RP seems to follow how TEOAE went, being 50 posts already despite starting quite recently and the most active thread by now. And with Charcoal and Grey being from different RPs entirely (I’m still waiting for the right moment to reveal CC), it pretty much feels what The End of an Era was.

Pokemon: Absol
Name: Maebure (Pronunciation: Mai-bur-ay)
Are you a member of the army or are you a shadow: Army. They used to be a former shadow and is later revealed to still be tangled in the Shadows’ story.
Any accessories?: Maebure appears to have failed Mega Evolution as a broken wing finds its place on their back. They have bandages around their front legs and torn red shrapnels of what could be identified as a scarf around their neck. It appears that dried blood coats the fur of their hind right leg.
Other: Maebure is a nonbinary Absol who appears to be around 26.

Maebure is a narcissistic, egotistical being, only out for themselves and only themselves. They have a strong hatred towards anyone who they aren’t acquainted with. They rarely warm up to people, and when they do, Maebure is a very loyal friend to them.

They pride themselves on being highly unhelpful unless it benefits themselves or someone who they have managed to bond with.


Maebure is typically accompanied by Tycho. Tycho is what could be called a special type of ghost, known as Seishin.

Seishin are a rare species. They are bonded to one person (In Tycho's case, Maebure) and- despite being a ghost- are visible to all. Tycho and Maebure bonded due to their close friendship for many years.

As Maebure doesn't carry a weapon, Tycho shapeshifts into something to help their friend. As overpowered as this may seem, Tycho is bound to their limitations, as using too much of their life essence (used to shapeshift) may cause them to faint for a long period of time, or worse, fade.

(Not sure if this technically counts as another character, but I'll put their form at the end if so.)


Tycho's form:

Pokemon: Snom (Seishin)
Name: Tycho (Pronunciation: Tee-ko)
Member of the Army or a Shadow?: Due to being connected to Maebure, they are a member of the army.
Any accessories?: Tycho looks like the typical Snom. Sometimes, snowflakes fall around them and they leave a trail of snow where they float.
Other: Tycho is a genderless Snom who appears to be 25. It is uncertain what age they passed at.

Although many Seishin which are bonded are typically overpowered, Tycho is an exception. Unlike the majority of other Seishin, Tycho can only shapeshift to basic things and can use basic moves (Razor Leaf, etc.).

Tycho is a very timid Snom. They are typically the friendly, more happier one out of the two. Despite the events that got them into a Seishin, they still make sure they continue to keep their promise. To help Maebure whenever they need it and to be there for them.

So… I figured out that due to not really having a way to introduce Charcoal to the RP, considering all the backstory things, I decided to replace them with another character. This is also due to too many Shiny Eevee being there and because CC wouldn’t fit with the RP too much. Enjoy someone with a finished backstory… and someone who isn’t a Shiny Eevee.

For now, Charcoal can be removed. I will keep the form in case I ever change my mind about it.

Side: Never sided up with either the Army or the Shadow. Basically a neutral 'mon, seeking to repair their own mistakes.
Accessories: Multiple fragments of a Mega Stone wedged in their neck, has a prosthetic front leg.
Other: One person may find that name… a bit familiar. They aren’t the same character, I’m just… horrible with making the names for my chars and half of them are stolen from either my old OCs or random restaurant cats’ names.
