Well I gotta admit, that berry person would be me. For the first
time ever. Anyway, whenever I check the store, there are at least
100 of each berry type. Ever since Riako increased the stock I have
barely seen anything beig sold out.
Overall, I don't support the idea, but wouldn't mind if it was
implemented.
No support for limits, because it's kind of silly to not be allowed
to buy something if it is in stock and you have the money for
it.
Raising the stock won't help any more than it has already, so no to
that as well.
If anything changes, I believe that there should be a "reserved"
stock of each item for each user; for example, there could be, say,
10 PokéBalls for each user. If I buy 14, I will take 10 from my
reservation and the remaining four that I purchase will be taken
from the public stock. Then, let's say that the PokéBalls are all
sold out, but you haven't bought any. You will still have 10
reserved for you, so you can buy them. Finally, let's say a third
user buys six PokéBalls. Later that day, they would still have four
PokéBalls reserved for them, even though the public stock was
exhausted. I suggested this on the other thread on this subject,
but it wasn't looked at because another idea for the thread -
raising the stock - was implemented.
I agree with the limit. Berries are really cheap, so it would be
really easy for somebody to clean the shop out, and in my opinion,
that's pretty greedy. Either that, or bump up their prices a bit.
Supply and demand. :P
I'll admit as well.. I've also been buying out the berries as
they've stocked. I've been trying to stay 1st in the "Most berries
fed" category in the Medall Rally. I know it was wrong of me to do
so and I'm sorry. I just really want to win 1st for that. Now I see
that's it's mostly my fault that the price has been pushed by 500%
I can't say sorry enough..
Hehe. Just laughed so hard when I looked at the shop.
Though it's a good idea, at least the berries will last a while
now. ^-^
Now I can actually buy some <3
~~I guess reality just hit me when I saw her laying that that
casket.. :/ RIP Taylor Lane Carlisle. You were one of my best
friends and I'll never forget you.. 1-24-11~~
How about, if someone wants a bigger amount of items, he could
order them at the shop, maybe for a bit higher prize? You know when
you're planning a party or something, you can order stuff at the
bakery on your name, so they have it ready for you to collect
it?
So let's say, there are 100 Oran Berries in stock. Buying them all
would make the shop owner happy, but not the users. So instead of
paying 40 PD per berry, you will pay 50 PD, but can order 300
pieces. It would take some time for the shop owner to get them, so
you can collect them in about 3 hours or something like that.
How is that?
EDIT: Of course you can only place one order at a time.
bourkey: But the thing is that berries are quite useless - besides
using them to interact. And it wouldn't be worth it. No one wants
to waste a 400 PD berry on a
Pokémon from a different trainer.
that was just a general amount, it couold be twerked to even 2.5x
rate to be 100 PD per berry for the lower ones
it would just stock people selling them out so quickly IMO becuase
at the moment people have masses amounts of credits and nothing
else really to spend it on.
How about if people want to buy huge amounts, it would be a higher
cost. Like, say if the person wanted to buy 20 or below of a berry,
a day, it would be at normal price. However, buying between 21-40
will cost maybe 2.5x more and so on. Sort of like what Mirej
suggested, but a bit different. This will discourage people from
buying too many berries in one day.
Mirej's suggestion of ordering items sounds nice.
Diana's suggestion also sounds like a good idea.
And just wondering, but does selling our items at the item store
help increase the amount of stock at the item store? I think that'd
be cool if there's no such thing yet.
