a normal day.
Forum-Index → Roleplay → Private RP → a normal day.Life in Amaryllis High is going as smoothly as it usually does, which is to say, not at all. The kids are as rowdy as ever, the hallways are crowded with students who have no idea how to take a hint, and honestly? It sucks.
Of course, it's a completely normal day. Everyone's just doing what they always do.
But the moment everyone is into class, an announcement rings out, of a man none of the students recognized.
"Good morning, students! This is an psa... is that the word? Eh, f*** it. I don't know. Anyways, I'm here to remind you that anyone who got bitten by a stranger and is coughing, is probably turning into a zombie. This isn't a joke, by the way. have a nice day~!"
And chaos ensued.

Reagan Wright

18
Gender/Sexuality:
Female, she/her, lesbian
Appearance:
the silly
Personality:
Reagan's just *slightly* insecure, though she acts like she's the most confident, capable person in the world, probably because she's genuinely good at most things she does, whether it's to do with socializing, most academic subjects(she despises math), and is overall just a great person. She can be a bit of an asshole sometimes and has a bit of a short temper, but knows how to control herself. She tends to be a bit of a social chameleon, unconsciously changing her personality slightly around different people. She's liked by most, because she has a decent sense of humor, and has and still does participate in almost every activity you could ever think of. She has a bit of an inferiority complex, though, mostly stemming from the hundreds of times that she's been compared to her younger brother, who is a literal genius, who managed to skip two grades from just being better. She dislikes her parents, but doesn't dislike her younger brother at all, despite being compared to him so often, because she understands it's not his fault.
Backstory:
Strengths/Weaknesses:
Very kind and generous, loves helping people, very physically fit, really, REALLY good at throwing things
a little too kind and generous, inferiority complex

Name: Mei Xiu Kensington
Age: 17
Gender/Sexuality: Female, Bisexual
Appearance: Mei Xiu possesses a graceful and elegant presence. She stands at 5'4" with a slender figure and long, silver hair that flows like a cascade of silk. Her almond-shaped eyes, a shade of amber brown, are filled with a sense of wonder. Mei Xiu is typically seen in tank tops and cutoff jeans in greens, browns, blues, and grayscale, having a vaguely militarial style outside of the studio, even before the chaos of the zombie apocalypse.
Personality: INFP (Introverted, Intuitive, Feeling, Perceiving). Mei Xiu embodies the INFP personality through her artistic and empathetic nature. She finds beauty and meaning in the world around her and is guided by her sense of compassion and creativity. Mei Xiu is a dreamer, an artist in both her dance and her outlook on life. She's deeply empathetic, caring not only for her close friends but also for the humanity that remains in the post-apocalyptic world. Her introverted nature makes her introspective, often seeking solace in her ballet practice.
Backstory: Sent to a studio from near infancy, her adoptive psychotic dance mom has forced Mei Xiu to obsessively practice and devote her life to dance (ballet, contemporary, lyrical, jazz). Yet despite the pressure, Mei Xiu grew to love dance, and acceled. Her parents divorced when she was four, leaving her mother rich. Her contractor adoptive father has minimal contact with her, and disapproves that she is sacrificing a childhood for dance. Her birth mother OD'ed and is long dead. Her dance teacher is a holy terror, but Mei Xiu has long ago learned to maintain her calm and quietly assertive disposition to accel. She is very disciplined, and can manage her double life well. Mei Xiu is a national title holder, yet no one at her school knows. She is often absent for weeks at a time to go on competition tours, and thus has no close friends in classes. After years of dedication and auditions, she finally has achieved a full scholarship to the British Royal Academy of Dance, and is sitting pretty. Her life was once filled with the routine of competitions and rehearsals until the zombie apocalypse disrupted her world. Now, she dances not only for the love of it but also as a way to find moments of beauty and respite amidst the chaos.
Strengths:
1. Extreme Strength and Agility: Mei Xiu's ballet training has granted her remarkable strength, agility, and poise, making her a formidable presence in both dance and combat.
2. Creative Problem-Solving: Her artistic mind allows her to approach problems with unconventional solutions, finding beauty and solutions in unexpected places.
3. Empathy and Charisma: Mei Xiu's ability to connect with people emotionally makes her a natural leader when it comes to building trust and unity.
4. Teamwork and Connection: Mei Xiu knows intimately the sacrifices the individual must make for the success of the team. She can work well with a variety of different personality types, seeking to connect and understand.
Weaknesses:
1. Introverted: Mei Xiu's introverted nature can sometimes make her hesitant to take on leadership roles or assert herself in high-pressure situations.
2. Vulnerability: Her empathetic nature can lead her to be overly trusting, potentially putting her group at risk.
3. Lack of Combat Skills: While she possesses physical prowess, Mei Xiu lacks formal combat training, making her vulnerable in direct confrontations with zombies or hostile survivors. She has basic prop training with staffs and bludgeon type objects, but has no idea how to kill.
4. Lack of Academic Knowledge: Dance was always valued more than school to Mei Xiu, as her future career can't be learned in the classroom. She isn't good with maths and sciences, etc.
Other: Mei Xiu carries her pointe shoes with her wherever she goes, viewing them as a symbol of her past and her unwavering dedication to her art. She keeps a secret hope that they may one day serve her in her quest for the future. She often dances to keep in shape and to remind herself that beauty can still exist even in the darkest of times.

Jing Yu stood at an appropriate height of 6'1, with well built-muscles from regular exercise and a slender waist. A beauty without showing a hint of femininity. Paired with his dyed fiery red hair that stood out in the crowd, his seemingly dull black eyes shined like obsidian. His typical outfits consists of an light colored airy linen T-Shirt, paired with either an jean jacket or buttoned down shirts that Jing Yu never bothers to buttons. Jing Yu, or Soel regarded by most of his classmates, is an extremely extroverted guy. Very social, very athletic, and overall just an giant ball of energy. A very cute ball of energy. Despite the cruel remarks of seniors deeming his behavior as immature, Soel rarely pays it any mind. Afterall, he got much more important things to focus on, like how to get a high paying job as soon as possible so that he could move out. Just as much as he is a goofball, he is also a serious student surprisingly. Within his class, he usually don't stray from the top 5 places academically.
Despite his sugar high energy, Soel surprisingly does not have a sweet tooth, if anything he prefers things more on the tangy and tart side. He doesn't have a preference to music as long as it sounds good. Except heavy metal. Anything but heavy metal. He also had a good reputation amongst the elderly in the neighborhood across from his apartment.
[Backstory]
From a family of Chinese descent, Jing Yu was an energetic child growing up in the bustling city of Shanghai. Both of his parents were doctors whom were madly in love. So much that, it was a wonder why they brung up a child in the first place when nothing could stand between them.
Despite the neglect Jing Yu suffered as a child, it didn't really affect his childhood. He was still a ball of energy everywhere he went. He still was an intelligent student who knew his way around people. Furthermore, to fill the empty space his elders left him since he was a child, Jing Yu's socialness made up for it. He had plenty of friends before he transferred to his current school outside of China.
Regardless of Jing Yu's opposition, the two love birds transferred him to his new school anyways, before tossing him some money and an apartment whom he lives alone in. Thankfully, It didn't take long for Jing Yu to settle in, even though he was transferred in the middle of the school year.
He still manages to get a part time job at a cafe, be a part of the track team, part of student council, and still be on the top of his grades, all the while settling into the new environment he was forced upon. Jing Yu can't say he is happy, but he can say he is content with where he is at the moment. That's it.

Mephisto is the demon of the dead. When Jing Yu just transferred to where he is now, many people couldn't pronounce his name properly. So many that, Jing Yu just got tired of correcting them, and just created an alias. Mephisto was the name suggested by one of his friends, whom was in their chunni phase, all the way in Shanghai. Without knowing better, Jing Yu, now became Mephesto to most people. By the time Jing Yu knew the true meaning of his alias, it was already too late, too many people knew him as Mephisto..

On the third floor of this- honestly mediocre, 5-storey tall- high school, was the Art classroom.
The classroom was quiet and calm. Students mingled and talked amongst themselves, as it was just another normal day. The teacher was nowhere to be seen, but most of the students were slowly shuffling in, taking their seats.
Kyoko hummed to herself as she entered the classroom, and took a seat in the far corner of the room.
Reagan had long been there, staring out the window, her baseball cap precariously perched on her head. She was tapping out a message on her phone, smiling to herself.
wickedness?
Or is it
weakness?
You decide.
After hopping off the bus, XuanJi started the walk towards the school, she looked down at her phone, she would be 5 minutes early when she arrived after her 10 minutes walk. Then she stopped walking, seeming as if she had frozen in place, her eyes became unfocused, she had one of her usual 'zoning out' episodes.
A bright smile bloomed on Mephisto's lips, his expression instantly brightens up his surroundings, blinding the passersbys. He waved at his introverted friend.
"Yo! Xuanxuan! Xiao Yu!"
Seeing no response from the other, Mephisto slowly pedals to a stop next to his dazed friend, before waving his hand repeated infront of her face.
"Hello? Helloooo? Earth to Yu Xuanji!"
Mephisto tilted his head in puzzlement.
Italic = Spoken in Chinese
Jing Yu hopped off his bike, and decided to walk with his friend instead. With his bike on the left and his friend on the right, he checked the time on his electric watch, before jaw dropping.
"Hey, hey Xiao Yu! I think we stopped for too long! We're gonna be late at this rate if we keep walking this slow!" Jing Yu nagged. Ut was natural, as a top student like him has never been late to school in his whole entire student career.
She entered the class with her probably favorite person in the school, Artem. They had both been chatting while walking, ending up in Artem almost walking into the doorframe. Acid cackled, helping the dazed Artem to his seat, right next to her own seat.
They had been best friends ever since they had sat together on the first day of school. They were both funky people, bonding over that. The two of them were basically the same person.
Why now, out of all times?! If they stop now, then they are going to be late! That is if they already aren't. No no, don't think like that!
Jing Yu shook his head, and lightly smacked himself out of it. There isn't any time to complain, they couldn't stall anymore time! There was no way he was going to risk his perfect attendance!
"Yu Xuanji!!!! "
Jing Yu hollered, and without looking at the other's reaction, he immediately grabbed the other's wrist and started sprinting. Soon the school was in sight, and just before the gate closed, they managed to enter.
Thank goodness he was on the track team...
Jing Yu gave himself a pat on the back for his quick thinking, before astutely ditching Yu Xuanji. Afterall, what happens after is not his problem, cause he needs to get to class on time!
Mephisto sweatdropped, what was he supposed to do with his introverted friend. What could he do to possibly change her bad habit ah?
Shaking his head, he turned back to his enthusiastic classmates, starting a conversation while waiting for the teacher to arrive.
It'll be fine.
Heading to her economics class, she chose a seat in the back, her silver hair cascading down her back. As she settled into her chair, Mei Xiu couldn't escape the feeling of isolation. She had no friends in this class, just as she had no close friends in most of her classes. Her introverted nature had always kept her somewhat distant from her schoolmates. It was expected when she was barely in attendance for a third of the school year.
The teacher entered, preparing to begin the lesson, but Mei Xiu's thoughts were a swirling torrent in her head. She wished she were anywhere else. School had never been her favorite place, and today was no exception. She dreaded the upcoming math and physics classes, where numbers and equations felt like an entirely different language to her.
As the teacher greeted the class and she got out her frighteningly empty notebook, Mei Xiu found herself daydreaming about her true passion. The movements, the music, the expression—it was where she truly came alive. In the new routine her teacher had given her, she still needed to perfect her side aerial into the triple elevated coûpe. It seemed so much more important to her future than supply and demand. She had read this in the textbook last week anyway. Mei Xiu didn't mind economics, so at least she was caught up in this class. But that didn't mean it was any less... boring. In these moments of academic tedium, she couldn't help but count down the hours until she could return to the studio and lose herself in it again.

Acid had immediately grabbed her bat, which she brought with her everywhere. Why? Uh Definitely no reason at all. Mhm. Definitely not so she could beat up people who bullied her friends and she has definitely not gotten in deep trouble before. ...uhhh you didn't see anything-
Artem was, ultimately confused. And was even more confused when Acid shook him by the shoulders.
"Artem!" She seemed...excited. "Do you know what this means?!" She whispered.
"Huh?"
"Zombie. Apocalypse!"
She had intended to whisper her response but she spoke a little too loudly, earning a few stares from scattered classmates but she didn't care.
What Artem responded with?
"Stop...shaking me, calm down.."
They are obviously the best duo in the whole school
Kyoko was sitting straight in her seat now.
"...this.. is a joke. Right?"
She spoke to no one in particular, but Reagan sighed.
"Obviously, it's a joke. Zombie Apocalypses aren't re-"
"This is not a joke. I swear. If you do not want to end up dead, get to the principal's office on the fifth floor. Bye~!"
