The lights are out, the city is in darkness. You creep through the silent city, now devoid of life. A cawing noise sounds, piercing through the night and causing you to jump. You look up, dread sinking into your stomach as you see a raven, illuminated by the backdrop of a moon, swooping down and plunging your vision into your darkness.

Welcome to Lights out, where the lights are quite literally, out. You have one objective: Survive the eternal night.

Darkness. That’s all anyone can remember since that day, when the sun’s light was devoured, fires no longer piercing through shadows, and the vilest of creatures creeping through the seams of this torn reality and decimating humanity. Without light, humanity fell, with the exception of a few curious children called light eaters. These curious beings have the ability to convert food and energy they eat into light and eat the light to store it. They are the Center of this so called life in this new world of darkness, where the entire world is an unsafe place.

The ashes rained down from the sky like snow, cinders scattered through the breeze…
And where was I? Burning in hell, of course.
