Iteral looks around, their heat was really starting to hurt the environment. Not much longer and that poor girl would sink into the ground. Though... well, it would make her job easier. "Well, I've heard more delusional takes than that." She said, still non-chalant and almost indifferent. "Mostly from your asinine ally but... heck, I guess ego and delusions always go hand-in-hand."

Khalfani seethed at the wound, now open since the blade wasn't there to stop it. He tried applying pressure with his hands, ears ringing. Elodie looked over at Khalfani- Scaramouche was gone. She quickly backed away from Iteral, returning to her normal state. Her eyes changed back to their normal yellow, and she cooled down quickly. "Ah, where did he go? Excuse me!" She went to Khalfani. "Where did that boy go?"

"I don't- know..."

Scaramouche had disappeared back to the base. Stupid. He made a mistake, and he couldn’t even kill those two. He fixed the wounds he suffering through the fight. Those puncture wounds were annoying to fix. They’re so small! But get so deep..

After being pummeled by half the distortionists, it was no longer surp to find another psychopath, albeit a rather sweet one.

Iteral kept her ability active but held some distance to Elodie, even making sure she cools down a little just so she doesn't melt more things. "His presence is gone. I assume he fled... that's new." She sighs, walking over to Khalfani and cooling down only gradually. "Um, this is awkward..." She looks a little embarrassed. The tactical thing would be to apprehend Elodie now but... could they? Should they?

Elodie smiled. "He acts like such a child sometimes..." She crossed her arms and shook her head. "Well, I guess it's my time to leave too. I suppose I'll catch you two later, if you aren't dead, of course." She waved to them and something clicked on her wrist, teleporting her away. Khalfani stared, confused and in a daze.

"I'm not even going to ask what that was..."

He finally fixed his wounds. Ugh. His mission was a failure. This was horrible. He should have just killed that snake. He was probably bluffing. Ugh.

Iteral waves and looks at Khalfani, as she finally disspells her personal shield and cools down to normal. Wand still in hand, she simply gave him a little shrug. "Not every war is about spouting allegiances and loyalty, some are more cordial. As for their sudden retreat... well, I have a theory but I'll only tell so at your leisure." So, she does her best to only do that." The witch puts her wand in Khalfani's shadow and uses it like a brush, "painting" over his body and healing him as she does. "I'm sure after being handled so roughly, you might enjoy some silence."

"Well, judging by the fact Scaramouche was determined to fight you and Elodie only joining the fight after she was commanded to... my assumption is that Scara fled out of necessity, meaning you did some good damage, while Elodie was more or less forced onto the mission, only acting whenever Scara told her to. Makes me wonder if she even knows the path she treads on..."

Iteral cracks her back slightly and smiles. "There we go, you are travel-ready. Wanna go?"

"Mmmh..." Iteral thought for a bit, looking over to Khalfani. She sat on her broom as they travel back, but made enough room for him to sit on, should he want to. It was more of an discrete offer than her telling him to though. "Still condescending but slightly less so and less... bloodthirst. I think, in modern terms, it would be a... "jerk with a heart of gold" or something." She felt a little embarassed, literature was never her strong suit.

His face hardly changed, but he was clearly surprised if you knew what to look for. He forgot. He wouldn’t have been in that stalemate if he had just— ugh! His fighting style was so dependent on his own abilities, that he had forgotten what Bliss had given him. “It won’t happen again.”

"Well, my mind is a bit fuzzy from being an annoying little attention seeker but... the first one actually felt like we had something to lose... we didn't always defeat them, sometimes we liberated them... and in the end we had a nice reunion. Second one, alright, got some action... in the end, we settled it via dispute... well, we made it end anticlimactically." She gulps, as an excuse to hold her hand on her chest, over the necklace.
