...ink? What the- Theo took a few of the hits, but
sidestepped in time to dodge some of them. He summoned flying pyro
books which all flew towards Raito, dealing pyro damage and burning
him. I've never seen anyone use ink...what exactly is his
vision?

Raito laughed. “BOOKS???? OH SO YOU WANT TO PLAY THIS GAME, I KNOW
A THING OR TWO OF BOOKS MYSELF!” Raising their fist, they clenched
it. For a moment nothing happened, then everything around Theo
erupted, obscuring his vision. When Theos vision cleared, Theo
would find themself in a dark void, the land they stood upon being
a book.
"what in the name of the shogun-?" Theo glanced around, and around
some more. Hmm... "What exactly is your vision?" He called
out into what he assumed was a void, but it could be anything
really.

The ground began to rumble below Theo, and laughter could be heard
in the void as the floor began to incline to it’s side, revealing
that Theo was standing on the left side of the book. “Judgement,
weak.” With that, the book snapped shut, exploding just before it
squished Theo in between the pages with the force of a bomb from
all directions and covering him in ink. The world evaporated around
theo, and theo found himself back in the real world.
Theo coughed in sputtered in response to the ink, and forced
himself to keep moving on. In pain, he tried to push the book pages
apart. Gosh...it hurts...

Raito casually walked in between the pages of the book, sticking
his blade between the pages to prop it open for Theo. “Hm, you
managed to hold out against my attack. Surprising, most would fall
to it. I’m impressed! Yet you still cannot survive the attack, what
a pity…The historian would be disappointed, she was hoping for more
allies against the artist.”
Theo chuckled through the pain. "Everyone is surprised at my
durability." He said, before tilting his head in confusion.
"Historian? Artist?" He asked, acting like he didn't almost just
die.

Raito nodded. “I’ll grant you a boon, since you didn’t die too
quickly. The truth, and nothing but the truth.” Raito snapped their
fingers, and the ink instantly left Raitos body, and the melted
into the ground. “There is a war on the island I come from, a war
that spans decades, going back to the times of the archon war. Two
beings of immense powers, semi archons in their own right, fight
for dominance on the island. Their motives are hidden to all, but
there is no doubt upon who the evil one is, It’s the artist. The
artist is a violent bI[CENSORED] with a rock for a brain, making up
for her intelligence with violence. They slaughter indiscriminately
in their rage and kills the residents of islands we dock at without
a care in the world as if we were insects. The historian is a
benevolent god of great wisdom, honouring the old ways above all
and documenting all that has happened since the very start. You see
the chains attaching the other islands to ours? Those small islands
are chunks of other islands We’ve been to, holding the last few
survivors that managed to escape the Artists wrath. I believe
Tevyat was where it started, and where it shall end. One way or
another, like it or not, Tevyat has a part to play in this story,
and we need to join forces against the Artist should we hope to
survive.
“That would be preferable, but If I’m gonna be honest, your people
can’t match up to ours. You’ve seen the difference between our
visions, here, you can take a look for yourself.” Raito casually
tossed over his vision, giving it a casual click of the tongue.
“The historian tries to supply them at best as she can, but
Celestia is short on those and keeps a tight supply. The artist
meanwhile…” Raito wrinkled their nose. “As the god of creation,
they can just create their visions en masse, even if they end up
weaker than ours.”
Lucinda waited on her tree for whatever boat they were getting on,
she hoped the trip wasn’t going to be boring. Wherever Rhydian is,
she hoped it would be a good place to view and see.
