Taking a running leap, she beat her wings down hard, feeling the wonderful freedom of soaring high above the city. Where the government couldn't reach her. She could fly away and never come back, a thought which she had contemplated many times. What was it that kept her here? The urge to settle scores with the government? To help all these poor people? She knew that if anyone found out about her wings, she was dead. The government would take her, try and cut her wings off to graft them onto someone else. So why stay? When she could be somewhere else, free of all those burdens, free to be who she was?
A old, abandoned, broken down office building. Nothing significant, just rubble and trash. The police skipped over it easily, it was extremely hard to navigate by foot, and no one was there anyways. Or so they thought. Athena carefully lowered herself through a hole in the roof, just barely large enough for her to fit through. She would have to find a new access point soon, her wings were going to grow too large. Landing neatly on a soft mattress, she walked over to a large pile of rubble.
Pushing a few pieces of scrap metal and a large sheet of lightweight metal with debris glued on aside, she revealed a hole going straight down. Nothing fancy, no fingerprint scans, no face recognition, just a hole. Climbing down, she moved the metal back over the hole, the debris she'd stuck on top blending in perfectly with the rest of the mess. Of course, it was crude, and could be easily found if you were smart enough. So she had a second trick in place.
The tunnel twisted and turn and looped back on itself, with dead ends and fake doors everywhere. It was, all in all, one of the craziest mazes ever. Athena had been working on it for a few years now, and was still modifying it. There were heat emitters all over the place, some could move around. That would throw any normal trackers off. The real door was made of heat blocking metal, so it hid her body heat. It was the perfect security system, or at least the best she could get or make.
Slipping through the door, she locked it securely behind her, then dumped her day's load onto the floor. It was a small space, underground, no less, but she'd tried to make it as much like home as possible. There wasn't any evidence or personal items, not that she had any. Everything was easily moved, so she could leave quickly in case of an emergency. She had decorated it sparsely with some knickknacks she'd swiped from people, and some crafts she'd made herself. It definitely wouldn't win any awards for best home of the year, but it did its job. And that was all she asked for.

He thought it was one of this guys lackeys, "There's more? Damn, well lets make this quick shall we."
Not even looking at the person that came in.
wickedness?
Or is it
weakness?
You decide.
"Now, that wasn't very nice of you, stranger."
With a wave of his hands, frost and ice started to run over the ground. Ice started to form around Ace's ankles, as Kendo stood there, calmly, a smile on his face as the chill worsened.

Or is it

'Why.. Why is Ace fighting against Kendo, which is a fight he def can't win..?'
Ayran just moved back, not wanting to play with them, while shooting a questioning glace at the fireboy.
Kendo calmly said this, his hands behind his back, a warm smile on his face.

Speeding through the maze of tunnels and out the hole, she sped up to the half broken balcony and leapt off, letting herself enjoy a few precious moments of freefall before beating her wings and soaring. She flew over the city, higher than anyone apart from other hawk/human hybrids could see. But she was the only hawk/human hybrid that she knew of. And she knew pretty much everyone and everything around here.
She heard a commotion coming from the old shack. Sounded like Kendo. Not important, unless it escalated, something to keep an eye on. For now, she just wanted to sell her wares. Finding a safe area, she swooped into the shadows of a tree. Quickly tucking her wings in and pulling her hoodie on, she glanced around to make sure no one had seen, and sat down on a street corner with the gun and some food laid out in front of her.
Of course, some people tried to steal them. No such luck. She gave away from food to desperate people, and sold the rest along with the gun for a fair price. She may be a thief, but not a scammer.
After the last apple was gone, she stood up and wandered around, no particular destination in mind. She occasionally swiped some things, and had an enraged shop owner on her tail for a while. She watched some duels, made some crafts, listened to some Lady in Red stories.
