He shrugged but didn't realize it. "...maybe after this..." He whispered to himself. maybe...like a movie- wait, what am I thinking?? This relationship is highly frowned upon by Father, and I'm supposed to be the role model for my sisters!

Don Lucarini stepped into the private dining room, flanked by two ~~enforcers~~ waiters. An immediate hush came over the guests. Roxanne stood from her place at his right hand, pulling out his chair for him.

He was a small man, standing at about five and a half feet, but his stage presence was undeniable. Here was a man who had moved mountains so he could have mountains moved for him. He was clean shaven with a salt and pepper head of hair that had yet to start receding. Dark eyes and a prominent brow were emphasized on his face. A strong jaw and thin lips rested below a stately nose. He was dressed in an austere grey suit, accented with a lemon yellow bow-tie.

He made meaningful eye contact with each member standing around the table before smiling at Roxie like a benevolent uncle. The Don was clearly delighted by the fact that he had a full table of people to discuss his affairs with. They had all come, just as he had predicted they would. Yes, behind Dominic Lucarini's kind face was the mind of a shrewd business man. The mind of a Don.

"Thank you, my dear. Matthews, Carbone, if you will." He nodded at the two waiters at his side, and they began to serve every bit of food imaginable as he took his place at the head of the table.

"Welcome, welcome, my esteemed guests. Please sit. Eat and drink your fill. The conversation and wine will flow all night. While you are here, you are guests in my home. I hope you have been enjoying my hospitality and each others' company." There was a twinkle in his eye as he looked at Kendo and Theo.

"Now, you'll notice that everyone here is... rather young. The eldest among your number is twenty-eight years of age. All of you are millionaires, and then some. So for those of you that have not yet met each other, allow me to introduce you.

"First, may I present Doctor Kaori Kim. She is easily the youngest and most recognizable face in all of standard medicine. Doctor, I have the utmost respect for your hard work and medical expertise.

"Next we have Miss Athena Luminia Lediana. She has developed a VR gaming system that has swept the technological industry, and revolutionized our world. I personally can attest to the use of your services.

"Mr. Hope Myel is a fashion icon and successful entrepreneur. Anybody who is somebody has tried to get their hands on the most valuable jewelry collections in the world. And may I say good sir, you have an impeccable sense of style.

"Our next guest is simply known as Miss Zynx. She is an avid inventor who has dabbled in seemingly every field, from biology, to metallurgy, to thermochemistry. It is to her that we owe the responsibility for making the scientifically impossible, possible.

"Mr. Kendo Sato, more commonly known as S4T0PL4Ys, is an icon in the gaming industry. With an enormous following and legion of devout fans, Mr. Sato has a greater influence on the world's youth than the rest of you combined.

"The Honorable Gallerian Marlon is a good friend of mine, and he doesn't even know it! One of the youngest men to ever take the bench, he presides over this city's court of law with his trusty gavel. He has received immense public acclaim for his rulings.

"Mr. Theo Hodge is the brains behind Hodge Technologies, though many of you, and even he, would not realize it. He has created the state of the art security systems that many of us enjoy, as well as the most innovative processors in the world.

"Our next guest is known only as Ayran. You might recognize that name, as it has been found at the Louvre, the British Museum, MOMA, and the Smithsonian among others. A huge fan, my good sir.

"And of course, we have all seen Miss Katie Curry on the big screen, with a fandom to rival that of the most celebrated actors through history. Every scene that she films is full of emotions, every word she speaks is filled with enthusiasm.

And finally, let me introduce you to Senator Briggs Myers, who is like a son to me. He has been serving our nation for four years now.

"We will discuss the purpose of our meeting in a bit. But for now, let's eat!"

Kaori gave a small head bow, which was a polite way of greeting in Korea. In Korea, it was manner to bow to your superiors, and Kaori always followed that. She looked at the others. 'There are so many people here!' she thought, surprised.

Athena most certainly wasn't that interested in the food or drinks, but, just to be polite, complimented Don Lucarini on the party anyways. So far, things weren't very interesting, just a normal party. And she'd heard the same introductions over and over and over already. She liked getting down to business, and all this preamble was going to kill her. She smiled and took some offered food, and began eating it carefully.
