Cath heard a rustle, and peeked over the counter. To her surprise, she saw what seemed to be a perfectly mini human creeping by the drawers near the floor. She played it cool, and waited until Kendo, Theo, and kitty were distracted. Another quick glance confirmed that Kaori was asleep.

"Psst... yes, you!" She whispered to the small... boy? Man? She couldn't tell how old her was. She caught his eye and smiled. "What are you doing here?" There was no accusation in her voice, only confused curiosity.

Percy turned his head quickly, startled. "Well I-" he stammered, just surprised he was seen that quickly again. Percy stumbled, getting a bit dizzy from how... freaked out he was.

"My name’s Milo. I’m a Gym Leader and rather partial to Grass-type Pokémon."

"Careful!" Cath was trying to hide her surprise from the others, but he looked... rather unstable. His voice was small, but not as high-pitched as she would have expected.

"I'm not going to hurt you or anything... My name's Cath. What about you?"

He hesitated, taking a moment to regain his composure. I'm Percy." He slightly fixed his gaze at whatever, taking sharp breaths.

"Hey, breathe. I'm not going to tell anyone you're here."

She had shifted into a casual position on the counter, so she could keep an eye on everyone, and still talk to Percy. She was afraid it looked slightly unnatural, but then again, Cath was eccentric enough to explain any little oddity away.

"The barrister you're staring up at right now is Theo. He probably won't care if you're here, as long as you pay if you want anything." As soon as the words were out of her mouth she regretted them. Could he even eat or drink something so large? A coffee cup was nearly a swimming pool for someone of his size. She hoped it wasn't a sensitive topic for Percy...

"I mean... A few already know that I'm around but I guess nothing's happened so..." Percy took a moment to eventually calm himself. "As for the whole paying thing..." He shook his head. "We don't... buy things."

He hesitated a bit, hearing his stomach start growling a bit. "I guess I got too cautious to realize I hadn't had enough food." Percy muttered to himself with a frown.

Cath was curious. Curious Cath. "Can I help at all? I have some sweet bread if you'd be interested." She asked, thinking of the small loaf of bread she had tucked in her back as she walked out the door earlier this morning.

So that was the reason that she had packed it. Cath had a strange micro-skill: the ability to know when someone would benefit from her bringing food.

Kendo was slumped over in his seat, tired. man hadn't slept for more than 3 hours a day for 2 weeks.

She walked over to her back, faking confidence, and pulled out the loaf of slightly sticky sweet bread. She unwrapped the foil halfway, so she wasn't touching the actual bread, and subtly angled herself so that it was out of sight of the others.

"What's the best way to do this?" She murmured. "I can place it on the ground, leave it here, whatever." Cath smiled at the small human. She wondered what species he was, but thought it to polite to ask directly.

He sighed. "You can just rip off a bit for me, that should be enough." Percy explained, slowly starting to feel... oddly comfortable with the environment. Although, being seen was still a bit much to handle.

She broke the loaf in half, and dropped a bit behind the counter to where Percy was. All in all, it had been a fairly strange encounter. He still didn't seem too comfortable interacting with her, but Cath didn't blame him. The paradigms o other species were complex. Still, she felt she was making progress.

"Is that good, Percy?" She said quietly.

Kendo had fallen asleep. She really was quite worried about her college friend... first he had tried to leave the coffee shop early, and now this. Cath hoped he would take her up on her offer for a job.

He nodded, slowly taking the bread piece from her. "Gotta admit the floor is feeling a bit uncomfortable..." Percy glanced over towards the wall gap he uses to get around, but shook his head. "Um... Could you get me onto the counter?" He seemed a bit more bold than earlier, feeling a mix of confidence and a bit of nervousness.

"Yep!" Cath was not sure how he would react if she picked him up. If it were her, and a giant hand grabbed her, she would be pretty freaked out. Cath looked around for an alternative. And then she spied a certain piece of yarn on the counter...

"Are you comfortable with me picking you up? Or would you prefer I lift you using this piece of yarn? You could grab it, and I could pull the whole piece on top of the counter." She still was talking quietly so Theo wouldn't hear her.

He nodded, grabbing onto the bit of yarn, a bit tighter than usual. "Alright, that should be good." Percy made sure to at least slip the bread piece into his bag to be able to use both hands to hold onto the yarn.

She carefully lifted the yarn, careful not to drop Percy. She steadied him and slowly lowered him to counter, yarn and all. "There we go!" Cath said cheerfully.

She was able to get a closer look at Percy. He was a perfectly miniature boy, looking to be about fifteen. He had dark skin, bright pink eyes, and midnight blue hair that tapered into a pale yellow near the ends. He was about the size of her hand.
