By contrast, it was a bright day on the grounds of Central High School. The students were streaming in through the doors, gathering for their first classes. Friends greeted friends, and compared schedules for the upcoming year.
Cath slowly walked through the halls, looking for someone she knew.
"Hello!" She said, spotting Theo amidst the crowd. She fought her way over to where he was standing across the hall. "How was your summer?"

He had tried to find a place to stand away from other people, and eventually found a spot that hadn't been taken.
Theo let his mind wander until a voice snapped him out of his thoughts.
He took careful consideration of the question. He could speak the long version and ramble, but that usually got him in trouble. So he answered with a short and not-so-sweet version.
"Sucky. As usual. How did yours go?"

She heard people talking. All around her, there was talking. No silence. It was quite stressful, so she covered her face by putting her backpack on her head. She was a demon, of course, unlike the many humans inside the school, so she had no idea on how people would treat her here.

"Who's she?" Cath wasn't sure if Theo would know the scarlet-skinned girl walking down the hall, but it was worth a question. She was... kind of

She was only 5'2 too, so thats another thing she could probably get made fun of. She didn't want to focus on the negative, though, but the positive. Maybe there were some people that actually liked her for who she was, being different. Those thoughts were nice, but she had to focus on her main task. Getting ready for school. She got a brush out of her locker and brushed her fluffy, short, white hair.

The question caught him off guard though. "She..? She who? Theo scanned the crowd. "Honestly, you have to be more specific. There's a reason I have these, y'know." He said, readjusting his glasses. Honestly, this guy loses his pencil when it's in his hands, don't ask him to try to pick somebody out of a crowd.

She had never really been attracted to anybody before. Sure, she could look at a girl and acknowledge her hotness, but it wasn't like she was going to be asked out. Or ask anyone else out. She was waaayyyyy too insecure for that. It didn't matter how many times her friends had tried to set her up, she had always emerged with her heart and mind in one piece. Uncrushable Cath. Until... now?
"Scarlet skin? Short white hair? Our height?" How had Kendo and Theo not noticed her right away? She literally commanded attention.

He had to stand on his tippy toes to see over the mass of kids. "Yeah, I see her now." She seems...shy. it wouldn't be nice to stare. She's definitely getting alot of attention. Theo could honestly feel himself in that situation. I would hate all that attention.
"Don't ignore it Cath, we see the signs." Theo said. "..Hey, don't look at me for help, you think I can stop him?" He said, grinning again. "You're on your own."
Theo saw the girl approaching. He smiled. "Hello!"
