Event breeding
Forum-Index → Help → Answered → Event breedingEdit: I got two eggs from the Ditto pairing and both were Ralts, and I’ve now gotten an egg from the Ralts pairing that’s also Ralts. I was hoping the first Ralts attempt would work, because I put a Mr. Bagon with Ditto before going to sleep last night, and woke up to two event eggs—one Van Bagon and one Mr. Bagon, in that order—and no regular Bagon.
Edit 2: The second egg I got from the Ralts pairing is also Ralts. I don’t think this is working better than Ditto.
They give event eggs a lot easier than any other event breeding pair (even when comparing to a perfect event breeding pair).
Normal event breeding takes a long time and non-event with event is a better choice than event with Ditto, because you'll be getting more eggs in general, thus more event eggs as well with non-event with event pairing.

He said the chance of getting event eggs from ditto and two event pairs were the same.
Don't know if anything has changed in the last seven years or not but I agree with CatLady that event pairs produce more eggs so there is a greater chance of getting event pokemon.
A good daycare day with ditto/event will probably give you more eggs than a bad daycare day with non-event/event.
[Though I find it weird that you can already deduce the pair is giving you less eggs, when it's been in the DayCare for about 9 hours.]
