Iskander was furious. The four heroes had occupied the exact same blade of grass earlier today. This could only mean one thing: the timeline was accelerating.

Goommaa had gone himself, trusting this mission to no one. After the last time, that was probably a good idea. The good news: he knew what they all looked like, and the identities of the two older ones. The bad news: the prophecized ones were regressors. Or at least, two of them were. He had ordered Goommaa to bring in back up. His lieutenant was competent, but even he could not take them on himself.

Iskander took a deep breath, and sipped his green tea. They were all under observation now. His prototype was nearly completed, the schematics stored in his brilliant mind. The dragon had accepted him unquestionably as its master. He had saved its life when all else had sought to destroy it. And he had all the time in the world to achieve his plans.

Yes, life was good when death was but a temporary setback.
It was never meant to be.
