In the trade station I've seen lots of people advertising male-female same dex numbered pokemon pairs as breeding pairs, are they just a male-female pair or do they have like optimal personality traits or smth?

Pokemon are randomly compatible, those people just check the compatibility in the daycare then put the pairs up in the gts. I don't believe the personalities have anything to do with it.

No personality, but a breeding pair is considered 'perfect' if the male and female are from different original trainers
