Which pokemon game is peoples favourites
Forum-Index → General Discussion → Which pokemon game is peoples favouritesAs for the reasons why Ultra Moon (although Ultra Sun is the game I actually play) is my favorite: First of all, it’s because this was the last game where ALL Pokémon were available. And, secondly, because the two Pokémon banes of my existence—TMs and HMs—are not an issue in the Alola games, with them being the first games where you don’t need HMs and, I believe, the last games where TMs were infinitely reusable. They’re perfect! But it must be the Ultra games, not regular Sun and Moon, because the Ultra Wormhole is awesome.
I embarked on an epic journey in Ultra Sun where I decided to try to obtain every single form of every single Pokémon in existence in my boxes in that game WITHOUT doing any transferring myself from any other games and without trying to negotiate or beg for trades from anyone. I could ONLY catch whatever Pokémon were available in game, and get the other Pokémon from the GTS by just checking in whenever I could and scrambling to try to get whatever I needed when it randomly became available. And I managed to get every single Pokémon (not counting Mythicals, because I think they weren’t even allowed on the GTS), and every single form of every single one of those Pokémon, this way, except for these four: Unown X, Icy Snow Vivillon, Sandstorm Vivillon, and Fancy Vivillon. That’s it! So I’ll always be really proud of this game for that reason, too :)
Edit: I just had to come back to this post because, even though I haven’t played Gen 8, I just remembered that I heard that they actually made a PERMANENT Exp. Share be in effect all the time in those games, and I’m absolutely horrified by that. I never expected that to happen, but now that’s another thing I’ve gotta mention I’m grateful isn’t in Ultra Moon.
My favorite pokemon game is Alpha Sapphire. It's beautiful graphically, the story is similar to the originals but with some additions from Emerald, the DexNav (gods this is one of my favorite features ever added), being able to fly on Mega Latias/Latios, fast transport for certain parts of the game, has hours of gameplay, and a ridiculous level of replayability, a full Pokedex and secret bases! I highly recommend it.
Each admin in Colosseum has a distinct and well-thought-out strategy. The teams in the two final story battles in Colosseum are incredible. You can tell the developers understood at least double battle synergy, if not the intricacies of competitive battling. There is also no physical/special split. It's rough by today's standards, but I keep coming back to it.
