Mega Evolving After Lvl. 50

All I’ve read says that mega-able Pokémon will mega evolve at lvl. 50 if they’re holding a mega stone. Does that mean that they can evolve at any point after lvl. 50, or, if a mega-able Pokémon gets to lvl. 50 when it isn’t holding a mega stone, will it miss the chance to mega evolve?

I’m worried about this because I have two mega-able Pokémon but no mega stones, and I’m afraid that I won’t get them before those Pokémon reach lvl. 50.

Mega-able Pokemon evolve when they hold a mega stone and level up to level 50 or more

What this means is, to mega evolve:
- They have to hold a mega stone
- They have to level up
- Their level must be level 50 or higher

I overcomplicated it hah
They can evolve at any point after level 50 :')

Now I’ve just gotta figure out how on earth I’m going to get two mega stones... But at least I don’t have to worry about getting them ASAP.

You can buy Mega Stones for PD from other players through the Global Trade Station and the Item Market. Alternatively, you can boil them yourself in the Gem Cauldron with Gems, if you have unlocked the recipe :)
