Mei followed others into a strange place.
Yggdrasil carefully slides the wallets into their mouth and down into the belly to ensure it was not too dirty when they spit them out. Yggdrasil noticed everyone was moving into a lab and also starting moving. A shockwave of a strong emotion stung their forehead to their spine. Yggdrasil quickly shook away the chilling feeling and immediately removed themself from the group. Yggdrasil ran to a nearby bush then tip-toed to look for the signal, but their small figure wasn't much help.
"The alien containment chamber lets us closely study the different fauna of 4546B from the safety of a base." Aurode started explaining, using a nearby whiteboard to help. "Not only that, the temperatures are suitable for breeding and egg hatching, so we can hatch eggs we find in the wild. This also helps us with food and water without ruining the food cycle."
"It's technically a sushi farm." Alan added, before being hit by a whiteboard marker thrown by his sister. "I can't say that?"
"What kind of creature are you? Is this flame real?"
"Ha! Ignorant human should stay ignorant. We are a superior species. With my spit, I'll turn your human skin and bones to ash! Next time think about who you're teasing with!"
The boy stood frozen. Not because of the ill-intent in this creature's voice, but rather his mind is still trying to wrap around whether or not this teenage boy with a weird costume had some type of neurological issue. He may be young, but at this moment the boy experienced his first sign of being an adult. Truly, he felt sorry for the stranger. At first, he decided to catch the stranger's attention because his appearance was distinct from everyone else. But he wasn't prepared for the threat this stranger has spoken of. From all of his adventures, no one has spoken with this type of manner and the way they were dressed. He looks back at his rat and remembered his original goal; which was to be strong. After meeting this stranger, now he sees his partner differently than before. Carefully nurture his Rattata so it won't grow up the same neurological problem as this stranger. The trainer still hadn't gathered what this stranger is doing right now, but he believed the boy with the weird costume is currently in his own fantasy; with his strange wordings, large claws, and fire. The boy soon snapped back to reality and decided to play along to find out more information about this stranger.
"I don't really get what you're saying mister, but let's battle! Show me your power, so-called 'Superior Species'! Go Rattata!"
Rattata perked up after hearing its name and immediately hopped in front of its trainer as commanded. Girgas took a deep breath then twirled around to face them. He took out his staff and holds it in front of them. Sunlight shines on the orb of his staff as it mirrored their strict expressions. A few blood vessels formed around his face and on his hands as he revealed a sinister grin. "Come at me, little brat..."
In the darkness, a dark silhouette appeared to be another Girgas was standing behind a large bush. The grey shine in his eyes glinted through the bush as he waited patiently for something. Although the doppelganger had the same appearance, his movement was quiet and unnatural; almost like a predator waiting for a fresh meal. He suddenly twisted his head to the left then to his right. He stared at the floor for a bit then look in front of him. He continued to stalk the fight.
The rat dashes towards Girgas with nimble and Girgas also starts mumbling its chant. The orb glows to an orangish color; a tiny flame flickered out from the orb. He continued to mumble his chant as the rat continued to get closer. The flame continued to grow and grow. Girgis was somewhat calm even when he knew the rat began to project itself right at Girgis.
"Watch out!" The rat's trainer shouted from behind. The rat body tried to maneuver itself away, but its body still rocketed itself at Girgas. The rat was met with a flame that was double the size. Everything went silent when the rat quickly dropped down. The youngster briefly standing frozen again. He didn't have time to show off his true strength -his dreams- him running to get his rat back or the time to voice out his concern for his pokemon because Girgas was already making steps towards him. At first, the stranger began slowly stepping towards him then quickly gained some momentum. The youngster shrinks into a ball. The stranger loomed over the poor kid as his own shadow blocked his expression. What kind of emotion reveals behind the silence of his voice? The youngster notices nothing happening, so he tries to look back at the stranger. Before he could react, his collar was pulled by a large claw.
The stranger's pupils dilated right at the trainer's soul like a real reptile. "Now do you get it?" He growled. "Don't bother me again," Girgas spoke before shoving the brat away. Girgas stepped away from the scene then -out of curiosity- glanced at the scene behind him. The brat was moving towards his badly burned-up rat. "Let's go heal you, Rattata. After healing up, let's do some more adventuring and hope we could be stronger in the future to defeat this mister." Girgas finally walked away.
He scratched his head as he continued to stroll around the town. A strange feeling lingered in him. He tried to disregard it; he won so why does he need to worry about it? The rat still appeared to be fine even after catching on fire. Girgas continued to ignore the dull stares from humans; his old habits continued to reappear as long as there is no guardian to look after him. Someone walked past him. Did the brat just reappear in his eyes and even see some residents already accompanying him? The thought immediately provoked him. He started it. Girgas thought in disbelief. Humans are like that, huh? Can't even figure out who is wrong here. He rolled his eyes. Before he turned in another direction, the scent of burned leaves irritated his nose. He scratches his nose before starting to look around for the source. He followed, head spun around in directions which the scent is the most strong. The scent soon directed Girgas to one of the bushes that were closer to where he fought the kid. He slowly made his way towards the bush, lifted a brow, and tilted his head.
A trail of smoke trickles into the air, and the scent of burned leaves continues to irritate his nose. Girgas looks around for any townsfolk nearby that also noticed this. "What the hell happened here? Humans are so careless!" The bush suddenly shuffled to his surprise. Girgas was taking out his staff again when someone familiar stood in front of him. Girgas dropped his staff...
Abyss was following Celeste, noticing the scene. "Oh wow, been a while since I saw mess like this." she muttered, staring at the scorched areas. "Worse than my fire arrows could be.. hey bug what are you looking for?"
Another copy of himself calmly stepped out of the bush and stood in front of him. He stared at Girgas with a blank expression while Girgas just cranked a brow at him. Girgas begins to walk around in a circle to see if all the details are the same. The details on the sword, the patterns on his clothes, and just about everything appeared to be the same. "Whoa! Who are you? Why do you look like me?" Girgas asked before letting go of the clone's tail. The doppelganger slightly lowered his gaze. He took a deep breath before looking Girgas in the eye. "You could say I am your voice of reason." His voice was like Girgas but more soft-spoken.
Never heard that phrase, Girgas only tilted his head. "Voice of reason? What's that?"
"It's better to not stray too far or linger around here for too long. Your unique style may attract unwanted attention."
Starting to realize this clone speaks the same way his mother also has the habit of speaking, Girgas furrowed his brows and crossed his claws. "So what? I can't go anywhere?"
The clone silently judges him. "No, just try to keep a low profile by going with 'the strangers'. Ever heard the phrase: 'two heads are better than one'."
The longer Girgas speaks with his clone, the closer he felt like the need to punch him. While the clone may appear to look like him, they got the complete opposite personalities. What is the origin of this clone? Why does it have to look like him?
Girgas balled his hand. "Just who are you to randomly tell me what to do? You're not me!"
"I've already told you before, I am your voice of reason. All I am trying to do is suggest some ideas for you to survive in this world, so you don't end up doing more harm than now." The doppelganger continued to speak calmly, there is no hostility in his eyes.
Immediately, the memory of that brat's face returned to him, but Girgas still felt frustrated to remember the weird feeling that gave him the jitters after defeating him, he only screamed at the clone. "Shut up! I am a kid so I do whatever I want! I hate that you sounded like my mother!"
The doppelganger lowered his gaze again, now sadness in his eyes. "It's not too late to change. You're going to hurt others with that temperament of yours and everyone is going to go against you."
"Just up! I've had enough, I'm leaving!"
Girgas was about to turn away when the doppelganger suddenly spits a flame at his face. Girgas's eyes glowed with hostility, "you want to pick a fight like that kid?"
Without a word, the doppelganger quickly spreads his wings and took off.
"Don't you dare run away!" Girgas yelled before chasing after him.
"Little bug, it's okay, there's probably a way for you to reach them." Abyss reassured the vessel, looking at the Pokemon under Celeste's care. One looked like her weird furry form but not furry, and another one... Was floating.
"I know!" Abyss happily said, picking up Celeste and making the vessel hold onto the floating dragon thing. "You can use this to fly and go after them! Hurry, before they get too far! I'll catch up with you later."
Celeste hesitated, but understood Abyss. Shouting a quick 'shaw!' the floating dragon took off after 'bee'. And just for safety Abyss followed them from the ground.
No time to react! The shadow of Girgas grew wider each second, and the clone quickly does an escape by rolling away.
Their breathing aligned in sync as both parties were exhausted from pressuring themselves.
"What's with all that big talk, huh? You look pretty exhausted right now!"
The clone waited to gain his breath again before speaking up. "it would also be your loss."
Girgas snorted. What kind of statement is that? They're different from each other aside from their appearance. Can't he see the situation?
"Answer me, just what are you? Why do you look like me?" Girgas asked again.
The clone chose the worst response, "Why don't you force me to spit out my answer? Savage creatures."
Girgas begins slowly walking towards his clone while inhaling air.
However the vessel suddenly became very confused. There were 3 'bee's, and both of them looked exactly the same. Celeste stood between the two 'bee's and just looked at both of them, very confused. More confused than reading lore.
"Bug you okay?" Abyss asked, picking up the confused Celeste and noticing the clones. "Uuuh- Hi person that Dana decided to punch." she said to the clones, awkwardly waving her hand.
