Glacier saw Summer had picked up and X Speed, no doubt trying to out-speed her. Her nature had already boosted her speed, but lowered her defence, so she picked the X Defense.

“Hey Em, looks like we’re battling. Don’t hold back, you know I won’t.”

“The arena is split between many biomes from Forest to mountains, The rules are also simple. You must wear these tags, they protect you from attacks that aren’t apart of your battle pair, you only get one x item so use it wisely, There are no turns if you’re fast enough you’ll get lots of hits,lastly have fun this is just a fun battling experience and a chance for us to learn about x items first hand.”

“Well Emerald, You ready?”

Glacier had seen Summer looking at her all funny. But she chose to ignore it and think about a good strategy. It was kind of obvious that she wanted to win, but the Glaceon wouldn't let her. She put on her tag.

Zeri was hit, but she didn't seem to be too damaged from this. She used Thunder Wave and dashed off to the forest area

Emerald put on his tag and decided to slowly follow Shade. There was zero point in following him at speed. Once ge reached the first tree, he simply just climbed up and began hopping from tree to tree.

In truth…Summer didn’t really care if she won or lost. There was really only one thing she did care about, and that’s giving her all. And she expected her opponent to do the same with her. She wouldn’t accept a victory if they were just being complacent or goofing off… she looked at her opponent and simply waited. Rushing in blindly only had consequences, in her opinion.

Dyti had trailed several other students to the class, as he'd no clue of where he was supposed to be going, and had taken whatever seat was avaliable. He'd listened, curious, and the teacher had talked about 'X items'. Well, he'd never heard of them, but they sounded fun. Min.. Who was that? He'd heard the name called out in the register, but couldn't for the life of him remember who it was - his attention span wasn't the greatest.
He'd picked up the item labeled 'X-health' - one of his weaker stats - and his tag. Shortly after putting on said tag, he located Min - only to hear the call for the battle to start. Well, he couldn't attack first; that would be rude of him. So he'd waited, but taken a few steps towards the swamp biome, which should provide plenty of advantage points for him.

Dawn put on her tag. She avoided battling when necessary, but this was her first lesson, so why not? She had no idea who her partner was, but she picked out a X Attack (because her nature was Modest which lowered Attack) and headed to the mountains. She thought, I can fly solo if I want. Then once she was on top of a mountain, she used Sing.

Min with x-attack used explosion to knock her enemy out regardless of what the enemy did she is out

Glare took the thunder wave getting paralyzed “get back here!” Glare ran after him

Shade also leapt tree to tree at extreme speeds, he then perched and used extreme speed at Emerald

Aqui avoid the attack by submerging the river

Zeri was perched on the side of one of the trees, using her claws to keep herself from falling, as she considered what attack to use next. Since she'd grown up in a forested area and had gotten used to battling in this environment, might as well.

Emerald felt Shade coming towards him. He didn't need to see him in order to know he was coming. He waited a bit before he simply...let his feet give way and it looked like he fell from the tree. But he had grabbed onto the branch as he fell and began to swing away from branch to branch. Once he had swung a few, he propelled himself up into the air, and began using each branch he landed on as springboards to traverse the trees instead.

Zeri dodged this time by jumping to another tree, then bounced off one of the branches and used Blaze Kick as she was landing

That was the moment Emerald decided to use the X Speed. He was pretty quick himself…he may as well force himself to go even faster. He had to sprint out of range…or well, jump. He threw some stars (Swift) at Shade, knowing that will have little effect. But the stars weren’t really there to damage. The stars multiplied as they homed in on Shade, obscuring his vision briefly of the immediate area.

Glacier ran towards the mountains. It would be a bit cooler their, so perhaps she might have a bit more of an advantage.

When the stars cleared up, Emerald’s aim became clear. He had vanished from view. It was all a distraction. Moments later, it started to rain, which made vision in the area all that little more difficult.

Summer slowly walked to the mountains. She could see what the Glaceon was trying to do…well, this could be interesting.
