A little girl next to Sky shushes him. "The Mystic Mistress is talking! Shush!" she says, her eyes glittering as she practically bounces out of her seat.

leo,s talonflame lands on the top of a mountain....he looks around at the whole city.

leo: it seems to have changed since i went......well pasts are to be forgotten arent they? like sky, huh. maybe he think i dont know him but he probably doesnt remember that it was i who defeated him in that battle for which he left the team.........pasts may be messy' but people change

Sky simply looks at the girl and stays quiet. then, a shiny chatot bursts out of one of his Pokeballs.
"you wanted to watch too then, huh?" Sky says quietly to the little musical bird that was now
perched on his shoulder. chatot sits on sky's shoulder and starts to hum an old sea shanty. upon
hearing the tune that chatot is humming, he laughs quietly. that was a song that he has taught
chatot when they were still traveling out on the open sea to Coren. Sky starts to sing under his
breath so that nobody will hear him

Nita and her team did nod and try listening carefully... if it wasn't for Rotom zapping to the mistress and pulling faces behind her a few times, giggling before then zapping back. "Rini, stop..." Nita muttered.

A little yawn escaped Aesira's mouth no matter how hard she had tried to hold it in. Barely getting any sleep at all for the past 15 hours, she began to feel sleepy. Tempest had to gently tug her hair to wake her up every time she was about to drop down sleeping. She chugged down the last remains of her coffee in her bottle and hoped it would be enough to keep her up until the ceremony was over. She didn't want to admit it, but she couldn't wait to get out of there and lay on a comfy soft bed. She started standing there to try to remember why she was even there in the first place to kill time and maybe to help herself stay awake.

Sky's Chatot then flys out of the contest hall and perches on the roof of it.
Sky simply sighs and runs after it. "Chatot, what are you doing this time?"
he says, sounding like he's used to this exact situation. Sky follows Chatot
up to the roof of the contest hall, where Chatot is singing the tune to a song
amongst the strikes of lightning and thunder of the ongoing storm. Sky smiles,
rolls his eyes, then starts to sing the lyrics and, along with chatot, the two start
to play a song somewhat resembling Bittersweet Symphony. however, this time,
people in the Concert Hall can faintly hear it being played in the background of the
storm, but only a few stop to question it. Sky starts to remember when he first met
chatot-the two only got to know each other through playing a song, and they had stuck
by one another's side every since that fateful day.

Leo sits on his yalonflame's back while the tune of a song faintly reaches his ears.... He faintly remembers it as the one he had heard in the woods where he had caught his talonflame

Anne joins sky and chat it... She too knows the song as the one her grandpa had taught her years ago

Nita's ears perked up, as she too noticed the tunes from this far away... then noting her Pokémon noticing it too. Rini, the zappy Rotom, becoming more relaxed and her head Litwick calming down as well. She instinctively starts humming to the medicating melody, her party silently humming along.

Sky and Chatot continue to sing. then, Sky reaches into his bag and pulls out
a black leather case and puts together a flute from the pieces inside of it. then,
Sky starts to play a melancholy tune along with Chatot. Sky, for the first time in
Coren, has a look of real comfort on his face. then, out of nowhere, a small Rufflet
falls out of the air and falls flat on its face in front of Sky, just as Sky and Chatot's
song comes to an end. Sky looks at the little bird in front of him, returning chatot
to its pokeball. the little Rufflet looks like it's about to burst into tears and it's also
covered in tons of cuts and bruises. "hey, little guy." Sky says, holding out his hand,
"are you okay? do you need help-" he gets cut off by rufflet, who suddenly starts
crying. without another word, Sky picks up the bird and pats it on the head.
the Rufflet looks at Sky, its tears fading away. "you wanna come with me?" Sky
asks," i won't hold it against you if you choose not to though-" once again, Sky
is cut off by Rufflet, who smiles and vigorously nods its head. Sky laughs and
holds out a Pokeball, which Rufflet graciously hops inside of, and sky immediately
lets it back out. "you wanna go watch the contests, rufflet?" Sky asks. Rufflet nods,
and the two go back inside of the contest hall before the contests start.
"talk about cutting it close..." Sky says as he sits back down into his seat.

People soon lose interest in the song as the contest starts. Exciting lights, gasps, cheers, the hall is very noisy. People get into it, and starts cheering and jokingly booing there favorites and such.

Nita leans back, tapping her cheek a bit nervously. "Spectres... listen. I'm not really a person who's into planning, you guys know that. Can I rely on you all having my back?" Her party members nod in accordance, the Rotom zapping around her head forming a halo. "I take it as a yes!"

Sky gets comfortable and pulls out a pen and paper to take notes.
"now, lets see how contests in Coren are different from contests in other
regions." he mutters to himself. in the shadows, a few dark figures can barely be seen watching
Sky. "when this is over, take his pokemon; knock him out if you need to,"
one of them whispers to the other. "on second thought, leave the one perched on his
shoulder; it'll be of no use to us." then, the two fade out of view.

Sky sits comfortably in his seat, taking notes on the performances of all the people in the contest.
he wonders when the battling contest will commence and rufflet squirms anxiously.
"it's alright" Sky says to the tiny bird pokemon, "we'll be up soon, okay? you just have to wait a little while longer"
Rufflet looks up at Sky and smiles. then, it turns its attention back to the contest stage.

Rufflet's view to the stage was denied by Amanda, the Mismagius from Nita, smiling at it while ominously levitating in front of it, then cackling mischievously and constantly disappearing and reappearing around it.

Amanda then tilts her head, then grabbing a hold of Rufflet by levitating under it and slowly manifesting below it's talons.

She cackled a little, slowly floating closer to the stage.

Rufflet yelps and looks back at Sky, clearly worried and scared.
Skys laughs and says to Rufflet "it'll be alright, buddy- just don't scream"
Reassured by Sky, Rufflet doesn't panic verbally, but on the inside is screeching
with absolute fear, afraid that Amanda will drop him.

Amanda chuckles, suddenly vanishing with Rufflet, only to reappear at quite the altitude, as she giggled a little and levitated around, shaking a bit.

You can almost see the whole island from here.

Rufflet looks happier at the sight and of the city and more importantly- the clouds. Rufflet squeaks out of bliss and starts to flap its tiny wings, trying to soar up to touch the clouds, then realizes that it needs to go back down to Sky, its trainer. Rufflet looks at the clouds one last time longingly, then tries to drop back down to the contest hall to go back to Sky, but can’t get of Amanda’s grip. It looks at Amanda, as if pleading to go back to Sky.

Sky is clearly startled at Rufflet’s disappearance and starts to panic, then calms down once he realizes that Rufflet can fly and can also find its way back to the contest hall. Then, Sky begins to wait
