War for the Tablets-A Pokemon Gingka Roleplay
Forum-Index → Roleplay → War for the Tablets-A Pokemon Gingka RoleplaySpectral felt the air whip against his face as he soared above the John region. It was unusually cold now that he no longer had feathers to protect him, and he was grateful that the distance between Ecruteak City and the Whirl Islands was relatively small. Presently, the land beneath him gave way to ocean, and he began his descent.
Mystin shrugged. "If I had to pick one, then I'd have to say, Vermillion. I may have not known Xaiver very well before all of this chaos, but he's smart. He'll think that we'll go for Cinnabar to throw him off, and if we can somehow make him think that, then it'll be even better. Then, we double back to our original destination." He glanced at the others. "That sounds good, or does anyone have any other ideas they'd like to share?"
Spectral-
Even though Mystin was gone, the sound of the other two's arguing still filled the air and was quite clear above the loud winds. Sitting in one of the caves was Blitz and Temperance. Even though they hadn't come, they still had to take on human forms, so Blitz looked like a young man with lightning-colored hair that seemed to stick in all directions, and an angry scowl on his face. He had a very pointed look, similar to that of his wings in his Pokemon form. Temperance, on the other hand, had bright red hair and a smug, rather oily look about her, with flashing green eyes and long lashes that gave her the look of a relaxed cat. While Temperance lounged on an outcropping, tossing pebbles at Blitz, he was trying to make a wave large enough to splash her, even though the outcropping was high enough that his attempts were unsucsessful.
Spectral alighted on a cliff slightly above the outcropping where the woman he assumed to be Moltres sat. The sight of the two legendary birds in human form worried him greatly. Tidal lived at the bottom of the ocean... but no, he wouldn't allow himself to dwell on such thoughts. Though wary of the birds due to stories he had been told of their relentless feuding, nonetheless he said cooly, "Hello." in an attempt to alert them of his presence. Behind him, his red, white, and green transparent wings flapped once, then faded as he stopped using Fly. Interesting. He hadn't quite expected that.
Mystin looked up in surprise. "Wait, what? Whaddya mean by that?" A small panic went through Mystin at the thought of Tidal leaving. Since she lived at the bottom of the sea, he hardly got to see her. And it wasn't like he got any sympathy from the others, they just laughed and splashed water at him when he mentioned missing Tidal. He took a deep breath. "I..y'know what, it's none of my buisness. I will miss you though if what you said means you're leaving."
Spectral-
Temperance, always the one with the attitude, simply ignored him and continued to throw pebbles at the greatly annoyed Blitz. "You hot head, why ya gotta pick on me?" Temperance rolled her eyes. "We always pick on Mystin, but he's not here." Blitz looked up at the sound of Temperance's voice. "Uh, hi." Clearly, this one wasnt very bright, so he didn't see any conncetion. "Who are ya?"
The Ho-Oh stared cooly at the man he assumed to be Zapdos; Blitz, then, if he remembered what Tidal had said, although it really had been such a long time since he had last spoken to her. "Where is Lugia?" he crossed his arms, shifting his weight to his right foot and maintaining eye contact. Spectral had always been very no-nonsense and straight to the point; he didn't deem his identity helpful or relevant to this conversation, and therefore ignored the question.
Blitz tilted his head, his expression blank. "Huh?" Temperance rolled her eyes and threw a pebble at him. "He means Tidal, dummy!" Blitz rubbed his head. "Riight. I knew that." Temperance glanced at him, lifting her chin. "Tidal went off with that group with big ideas to go save the world or someting." She held out her hand at arms length. "I couldn't care less, honestly."
The Ho-Oh's eyes widened in surprise. Tidal had left? That was a first. If there was ever a definition of the human word "homebody," she was it. He rolled the words over in his head. To save the world... he thought, perplexed. He wondered how much convincing it had taken to get the Diving Pokemon to go. She'd never said so aloud, but he knew she was so worried that she would harm the world that she thought it was better to stay out of matters. Regaining his composure and switching his cool, golden gaze to the red haired woman, he asked, "Do you have an idea where she went?"
Temperance changed postitions, now on her back with her hair hanging over the side of the outcropping. Blitz tried to splash her again, but she ignored the failed attempt. "Kanto, I think? That birdbrain Mystin kept talking about it until we threatened to hang him above my nest after I lit it on fire so he would shut up."
The Rainbow Pokemon dipped his head to the Moltres. "Thank you for your assistance," he said, genuinely grateful. Yes, the birds seemed just about as troublesome as Tidal had always jokingly said they were, but in this instance, at least they had given him the information he needed. Spectral gathered his strength and used Fly, transparent wings once more forming behind his back and allowing him to launch into the sky.
