Letting the others take the lead, Tidal glanced around nervously.
She wondered if it'd only been her imagination, but she
half-remembered the feeling of someone carrying her while she had
been unconscious. The idea terrified her, and she wasn't even quite
sure why. She tried to shake the thought from her mind and focus on
finding the plate, but THAT only brought back the fear that Xavier
would turn up again. She hated this.
"Wait! What if we checked the site where the meteriote that
harvested Moon Stones crashed? It means a lot to the Clefable
but...." he shrugged. "Maybe they'd let us check it out."
Meka began scanning the cave. A zubat flew into her face, and she
smacked it away. This knocked the little creature out, and she
winced, having misjudged her own strength. Lifting it gently, and
hiding it behind a rock, she looked up with a 'I didn't do that'
face. "Plate, let's do this." Mt. Moon had many craters, in each
hid moon stones...maybe the stone plate would hide in one??
Mystin lauged nervously. "But that's the thing...Xaiver knows about
the Moon Stone meteorite. I may or may not have told him about it
when he wasn't evil, and may or not have had a Drilburr take him to
it. But as long as he dosen't realize it's there, we're all good."
Grateful to the Articuno for breaking her thought pattern, she
nodded thoughtfully, then turned to Riko. "The Clefable may listen
to you, being a Fairy Type," she said, almost as a question more
than a statement. "We could ask them to mislead him."
Nez and Sol emerged from an ultra Wormhole. Nez had left earlier to
go find him. Sol already knew that he would get his ear chewed off
by the others, and really didn't like it. "Sorry we're late.
Anything happen?" Nez asked Mystin
Mystin did his little jazz hands. "We're gonna try and find the
meteriote that the Clefable harvest Moon Stones from, but Xaiver
already knows where it is. And I don't, cause birds abouslutley do
not go with caves. Or mountains. Unless it had an open top." Mystin
stopped, considering this. "Wait, can moutains have an open top?"
Riko looked sceptical. "Would that work...?" The royal warrior
questioned. She, and other fairy types, may have been stereotyped
as dragon slayers, though, the reality was, they all judged dragons
as worthy adversaries as anything else, as dragons, well being
straight up strong battlers in general, also tended to pack their
weaknesses just like with any other matchup...like steel wing or
metal claw. She feared the fairy pokemon might fear Xavier as well,
especially with him being a legendary. Perhaps it wouldn't hurt to
try, however.
"Hm... That's a problem. I could try to detect where Xaivier is
using my psychic power, but if he detects me it could mean serious
trouble." Nez thought for a second. "Its not very safe but it's the
fastest way."
"I hear humans hate them as well. There's also an item for getting
rid of the pokemon, I think. They're called 'repels'." Kate was
levitating of course, so her only problem were the blind blue bats
flying around, screaming their hatred of life to the world.
"Mystin, Temperance (Moltres name on the spot) LIVES in a volcano,"
she said, crossing her arms. Turning to Nez, she added, "He's not a
Psychic type. If you stay just on the borders of his consciousness,
you'll likely pass undetected, especially if he's focused on
chasing us."
Mystin nodded. "Riiiight, I don't know if you knew this, but he
doesn't like me. Like, at all. We are polar oppisites. So I don't
really keep tabs on his location, ngl."
"Even so, I can't detect where he is without going pretty deep. And
Xaivier is very powerful. He has a high chance of detecting me if I
do. It dosent help that I'm a legendary as well making my aura
stronger."
