The Cursed - RP
Forum-Index → Roleplay → The Cursed - RPFor as long as humanity can remember, there has been these group of outcasts, a group that no one dare interacted with. In fact, most of them don’t even want to interact with each other. Generation after generation, they’ve been treated like they shouldn’t exist, like they were never supposed to live. Truth is, they weren’t... This group of people is called “The Cursed”. They were born with a unique power that is said to do more harm than good. One of the most common power associated with these people is called “Death Touch”, anything they touch will instantly die. Even metal and other non-living objects can fall at the hands of this power. If one is killed, another will be born within a week.
Anyways, there was a day where suddenly all The Cursed were kidnapped and taken to an abandoned school. No one cared that they were missing, in fact, they rejoiced. This is where the story begins, The Cursed find themselves alone in a classroom while the “staff” met up in the gym with the headmaster.
Myeo’s day had gone like normal, hiding from them, fighting for her life, and surviving on the bare minimum in her little makeshift shed. Every day she wished this all would end, she wished she could live like everyone else. A tear fell down her eye as she hoped, making her believe yet again that hope only brought pain. All of a sudden, she felt a presence right outside of the door. She held her breath while her eyes widened, thinking she had been found. She didn’t want to run away again... Then, a dark hand made its way towards her, but something was off about the hand. No skin showed, but nothing covered it either... She didn’t have time to think about all this! She recoiled and tried to move away from it, but the arm stretched out longer and longer until it grabbed hold of her, pulling her out of hiding. She tried to wiggle her way out of its grasp but she couldn’t. “Hold still...” a raspy voice said to her, instantly paralyzing her. “There there... You’re safe now...” Before Myeo could hear any more of it, she somehow fell unconscious.
She leaned her head against the tree, staring up through the leaves. She liked nature....she could be around it, and it wouldn't be harmed by her plague. That's when she saw the hand...black as night, though not for the coloration of clothing. It reached for her, grabbing her arm. "W-what?" She desperately tried to escape it but to no avail. Darkness covered her eyes.
When Aliana awoke in the classroom, she immeadiently scrambled to a corner, pressing her arms against the wall like a cornered animal, eyes darting from side to side. Who knew if she was alone?
When he awoke, Fredrick knew nothing of where he was. Gaining his mind back, he scrambled up and took a few quick breaths, then took in his surroundings. A... Classroom? Moving carefully to the door, Fredrick glanced out into the hallway, then shuffled forwards, listening for any life.
The headmaster paused, standing ever so perfectly on the stage he stood upon, above all his staff. The staff were emotionless, empty, seemingly nothing but puppets all in perfect formation. “Looks like our lovely guests have arrived...” he said with a cruel smile plastered on his face. He gracefully stepped down from the stage, then made his way to the door of the gym. He decided it would be best if he would just wonder until he found them instead of making a surprise announcement on the intercom. It would be much more exciting...

The man turned his head and looked at Fredrick. His posture was polite, but also quite eerie. “Why hello there, Fredrick... It’s a pleasure to meet with you.” The gleam in his eye said something else. Anyone who looked could easily tell that he had malicious intent. His hands tapped against each other behind his back, making it even more unsettling to be in his presence.

Gently, the maiden stepped down from the porch, her cape quivering in the soft breeze. A soft sigh released itself from her rosy lips as she drifted down the stairs, pulling her black leather gloves higher up her arms. She opened her glazed back eyes, remorse heaping itself up inside her own petite body, with no way to escape. It simply lingered there, clawing, howling with it's own rage.
Another day, another death.
Perhaps, some day, she'd find some sense of forgiveness inside herself; forgiveness for the many sinners whose souls she had sent God knows where, for herself, for whatever supernatural experience had made her into this creature of ignorance. That day, however, was not today. Leaving the house in which she had hidden the corpses - a mother and daughter who had happened to stumble upon her cursing a flower - she began to wander along the road, her velvet hood hiding her gothic appearance - though her clothing was a major giveaway. She didn't get very far, though, before coming to a stop, feeling a presence behind her. Without having a chance to confront the stalker, a hand of sorts stretched around to her face and simply poked her in the cheek. Inevitably, she passed out.
Silence. The absence of noise, as it was described by most. By her, though, it was described as freedom; freedom from noise, freedom from company, freedom from confrontation. It was this silence that comforted her, though she had no idea of her whereabouts. As she again opened her eyes, no immediate thoughts fired in her rather odd mind. She stood, as if nothing had occurred, and took note of her school-like surroundings. So far, it seemed she wasn't bothered by any of the happenings, even if she should have been; none should have been able to touch her and suffer no consequences, though it appeared a certain someone had. This thought urger her to nudge open the door, to slip out, to silently jog towards the callings in the darkness.
[is there a PalPad grout chat yet?]
The tall man didn’t break eye contact with Fredrick as he acknowledged Annabeth. “Ah... yet another has come, lucky me... Annabeth, is it? How lovely...” Even without the grim demeanor and creepy voice, those words and it’s meaning would’ve sent chills down anyone’s spine. He pulled his right hand from behind his back and flicked it in the air. “My job is made much easier thanks to you two, but nevertheless, there are more lurking the hallways of this school...” Suddenly, out of nowhere, one of the staff came through the door and stood at the man’s side. “Be a dear and go fetch those other... students, would you?” And off the emotionless woman went, walking through the empty hallway with her heels making an echoing click as she walked.
(Yup, I accidentally forgot to add you ^^’)
Without hesitation, the woman made turns down the hallways that surprisingly lead to where the two were. The echo of her heels could be heard a long ways away, and her eyes seemed to pierce anything they looked upon. The schools size alone would make it difficult to reach them quickly, even if she knew every turn.
