For as long as humanity can remember, there has been these group of outcasts, a group that no one dare interacted with. In fact, most of them don’t even want to interact with each other. Generation after generation, they’ve been treated like they shouldn’t exist, like they were never supposed to live. Truth is, they weren’t... This group of people is called “The Cursed”. They were born with a unique power that is said to do more harm than good. One of the most common power associated with these people is called “Death Touch”, anything they touch will instantly die. Even metal and other non-living objects can fall at the hands of this power. If one is killed, another will be born within a week.

Anyways, there was a day where suddenly all The Cursed were kidnapped and taken to an abandoned school. No one cared that they were missing, in fact, they rejoiced. This is where the story begins, The Cursed find themselves alone in a classroom while the “staff” met up in the gym with the headmaster.

Myeo’s day had gone like normal, hiding from them, fighting for her life, and surviving on the bare minimum in her little makeshift shed. Every day she wished this all would end, she wished she could live like everyone else. A tear fell down her eye as she hoped, making her believe yet again that hope only brought pain. All of a sudden, she felt a presence right outside of the door. She held her breath while her eyes widened, thinking she had been found. She didn’t want to run away again... Then, a dark hand made its way towards her, but something was off about the hand. No skin showed, but nothing covered it either... She didn’t have time to think about all this! She recoiled and tried to move away from it, but the arm stretched out longer and longer until it grabbed hold of her, pulling her out of hiding. She tried to wiggle her way out of its grasp but she couldn’t. “Hold still...” a raspy voice said to her, instantly paralyzing her. “There there... You’re safe now...” Before Myeo could hear any more of it, she somehow fell unconscious.

Aliana sat underneath a tree, staring ahead blankly. No one was around....good. Her jaw worked up a little, but she managed to quell the strange twitches. It was a nervous habit she had picked up, and with good reason. Aliana had always been running..she didn't want to fight. She hated seeing the panic in people's eyes as they moved to grab her and were struck with an unbearable amount of pain. She just wanted to be around people without being scorned, without being the reason that they fell to the ground in agony. But that day would never come...Aliana knew that her curse would haunt her, creating a bubble of isolation, for a good reason, yes, but a lonely one all the same.

She leaned her head against the tree, staring up through the leaves. She liked nature....she could be around it, and it wouldn't be harmed by her plague. That's when she saw the hand...black as night, though not for the coloration of clothing. It reached for her, grabbing her arm. "W-what?" She desperately tried to escape it but to no avail. Darkness covered her eyes.

When Aliana awoke in the classroom, she immeadiently scrambled to a corner, pressing her arms against the wall like a cornered animal, eyes darting from side to side. Who knew if she was alone?

After a while her eyes had opened, only to reveal the gloomy and eerie scene of the classroom around her. She was sitting at a desk in the middle of the room, her head resting on her arms. “W-where am...” she stopped herself from saying another word, thinking it was silly to talk to herself. Why wasn’t there anyone else around? Was it... No, that wasn’t it... She sighed and looked around some more, trying to gather more information that could hopefully help her. Should she stay put? Should she roam around the building to see if there was something else? If her abductor wanted her to stay, they would’ve tied her up or stayed in the room with her, right? So does that mean she was free to explore? Well... might as well...

When Aliana realized she was alone, she stood up slowly. This was....scary. Not the being alone part, Aliana had always been alone, but the eerieness of this isolation. It was dark and frightening. Aliana looked around her. She was in a...classroom? This was odd. She walked to the only visible door and tried it. Unlocked. Should she try and find a way out? But this place....it was so mysterious, and Aliana had been dying for something new. It was a tough decision, but Aliana's curiosity got the better of her. She placed a hand on the doorknob, and turned, slowly opening the door and stepping out.

Fredrick glanced up. He'd heard something just then, hadn't he? Standing up slowly, he advanced. He stood in an alleyway, shivering. Now, he knew something was just around a corner, as it had made another sound. Peeking around the edge of the building, he jolted as a cat hissed and ran away. Sighing, Fredrick stepped out into the street. Then, he felt something touch the back of his neck, and all went dark.

---<>---

When he awoke, Fredrick knew nothing of where he was. Gaining his mind back, he scrambled up and took a few quick breaths, then took in his surroundings. A... Classroom? Moving carefully to the door, Fredrick glanced out into the hallway, then shuffled forwards, listening for any life.

Myeo was oblivious and naive, even after all that she had learned and been through. She still called out into the darkness, possibly giving away her location or summon her kidnapper. Thankfully, nobody came. No one was around, or so she thought. She kept calling as she kept walking, trying to find where to go while also searching for another person. “Hello? Anyone here? Helloooo?” She walked passed several other classrooms on her journey, but no sign of anyone there. Was she going in and endless loop? Was the school just that big? She kept walking and walking, waiting and watching...

Aliana stepped outside and started walking down the halls. Quiet...Alone....Quiet.....Alone...She couldn't see anyone, couldn't hear anyone. All she saw was the long, long halls stretching before her. But Aliana did not walk in total silence. As she walked, she thought. Who was it that had kidnapped her? In the past, if someone tried to touch her, they were racked with horrible pain. But the hand that had touched her...hadn't even flinched. Was it possible that there was someone that was immune to these things? Maybe, maybe Aliana would find out today. But for now, she wanted to keep walking. Quiet...Alone...Quiet....Alone. She blinked. Was that...a voice? She would wait and see if she could find the person, or if it got closer. Still, though, she might as well make herself known to not surprise anyone. She raised a hand to her mouth, calling out in her naturally soft voice, "Hello? Who is that?"

“He-“ she was cut off by another lost voice in the distance, filling her with hope once again. “H-hey! W-where are you?” She called out, her movements were quick and her heart was racing. There was someone else here! Maybe they knew what was going on? Maybe they could help her? Maybe they were her kidnapper...? Despite the last thought, she kept searching. She kept searching until her breath was suddenly knocked out of her. She fell to the ground with a hollow thud that echoed through the empty hallway. Did she... bump into something? She rubbed her sore forehead and looked up to see Aliana. Something bothered her though... Why didn’t she fall asleep? She... Should’ve at least had some sort of reaction when she came close, right? Was she living a dream all her life? Was she dead? Was it the building itself? So many questions came to mind...

The headmaster paused, standing ever so perfectly on the stage he stood upon, above all his staff. The staff were emotionless, empty, seemingly nothing but puppets all in perfect formation. “Looks like our lovely guests have arrived...” he said with a cruel smile plastered on his face. He gracefully stepped down from the stage, then made his way to the door of the gym. He decided it would be best if he would just wonder until he found them instead of making a surprise announcement on the intercom. It would be much more exciting...

Aliana paused. Had something happened? The voice cut off-but maybe Aliana could follow its direction. She kept walking..everything looked the same. The same walls, the same windows, the same doors. "Same, Same, Same, Same, Sane, Insane," she whispered to herself. Sometimes Aliana wondered if her curse was driving her mad. Maybe it was, maybe it had already. Who knows? She kept going, kept moving forward. Left foot, right foot, left and right and up and down and back around. She was going mad, indeed. She tried thinking of the voice. Follow the sound of the voice. She said, "Hello? I'm scared..."

She didn’t say a word as she looked up, then slowly tried to stand. Her fear, confusion, and shock made it difficult to concentrate and hold her balance, but she managed to lean against the wall. She backed away and continued to stare at Aliana, like she was trying to make sure she wouldn’t go anywhere. “H-hello? W-who are you...?” Her shaky voice managed to say.

Aliana stared back at her. "Aliana...." She couldn't believe it. Another person..but...this was strange. She didn't feel that aura of pain that she felt every time she was near someone. Why? She stood completely still, eyes wide as she looked at the ground. "Why...why why why why?" she whispered. "So many questions, Who what where when how, so, so many questions." She took a step back, ready to run at a moment's notice, eyes still on the ground.

Stepping around the corner, Fredrick paused. Was that... An echo? Yes, another one! Moving forwards again, Fredrick stopped again. A tall man stood in a doorway, his face twisted and contorted into something vile, sickening. "H-hello?"

“M-myeo...” she replied, also ready to run. This was so weird... She was so confused... “I-I’m just a-as confused as you are...” her voice was quiet, frightened. She didn’t know what to do... “So y-you don’t know either...” she mumbled, her eyes still fixed on Aliana’s face. It was weird seeing a face that wasn’t terrified...

The man turned his head and looked at Fredrick. His posture was polite, but also quite eerie. “Why hello there, Fredrick... It’s a pleasure to meet with you.” The gleam in his eye said something else. Anyone who looked could easily tell that he had malicious intent. His hands tapped against each other behind his back, making it even more unsettling to be in his presence.

Aliana shook her head. "I...I was hiding. And something grabbed my arm. It was so very dark...like everything had disappeared...Then I woke up here." Aliana was unsettled to be near someone, and not see the terror and pain she normally saw. It was nice but strange. "So you're...Myeo? How did we get here?"

ֆɦɨɨʀօ ȶɨӄǟʟʟ

Gently, the maiden stepped down from the porch, her cape quivering in the soft breeze. A soft sigh released itself from her rosy lips as she drifted down the stairs, pulling her black leather gloves higher up her arms. She opened her glazed back eyes, remorse heaping itself up inside her own petite body, with no way to escape. It simply lingered there, clawing, howling with it's own rage.
Another day, another death.
Perhaps, some day, she'd find some sense of forgiveness inside herself; forgiveness for the many sinners whose souls she had sent God knows where, for herself, for whatever supernatural experience had made her into this creature of ignorance. That day, however, was not today. Leaving the house in which she had hidden the corpses - a mother and daughter who had happened to stumble upon her cursing a flower - she began to wander along the road, her velvet hood hiding her gothic appearance - though her clothing was a major giveaway. She didn't get very far, though, before coming to a stop, feeling a presence behind her. Without having a chance to confront the stalker, a hand of sorts stretched around to her face and simply poked her in the cheek. Inevitably, she passed out.

Silence. The absence of noise, as it was described by most. By her, though, it was described as freedom; freedom from noise, freedom from company, freedom from confrontation. It was this silence that comforted her, though she had no idea of her whereabouts. As she again opened her eyes, no immediate thoughts fired in her rather odd mind. She stood, as if nothing had occurred, and took note of her school-like surroundings. So far, it seemed she wasn't bothered by any of the happenings, even if she should have been; none should have been able to touch her and suffer no consequences, though it appeared a certain someone had. This thought urger her to nudge open the door, to slip out, to silently jog towards the callings in the darkness.

“So that happened to you too, huh...” she sighed and her endless glare ended. She closed her eyes for a second then looked right back at Aliana. “I-I don’t know honestly... Maybe it’s the thing that grabbed us? M-maybe it’s in this building...”

The tall man didn’t break eye contact with Fredrick as he acknowledged Annabeth. “Ah... yet another has come, lucky me... Annabeth, is it? How lovely...” Even without the grim demeanor and creepy voice, those words and it’s meaning would’ve sent chills down anyone’s spine. He pulled his right hand from behind his back and flicked it in the air. “My job is made much easier thanks to you two, but nevertheless, there are more lurking the hallways of this school...” Suddenly, out of nowhere, one of the staff came through the door and stood at the man’s side. “Be a dear and go fetch those other... students, would you?” And off the emotionless woman went, walking through the empty hallway with her heels making an echoing click as she walked.

Aliana nodded, looking down at her trembling hands. "Watching us....looking for us..." Her eyes were wide, but not in fear, but some other strange emotion that she had come to possess over the years. She heard the taps. "Someone...coming, tap, tap, tap, tap, filling the void. Tap, tap, tap, tap, someone's coming, coming, coming."

She could feel it too, but she was more concerned about the strange rambling that the stranger was making. The constant tap tap tap was making her paranoid, easily succumbed to the overwhelming mood of the school. The placed her hands on the back of her head and gripped her hair. She was already breaking? But... why...? She bent down and closed her eyes. “Y-you’re scaring me...” her voice was shaky, more than it was before.

Without hesitation, the woman made turns down the hallways that surprisingly lead to where the two were. The echo of her heels could be heard a long ways away, and her eyes seemed to pierce anything they looked upon. The schools size alone would make it difficult to reach them quickly, even if she knew every turn.
