"Every profession has its upsides and downsides." Kiro reasoned
Winter nodded. "But I plan to have fun! This was my dream, after
all!" He thought of all the movies he'd watched, starry eyed about
Kiro and Roran's adventures...and now...soon enough...he'd be a
part of them
Emerald nodded. He knew what it meant...Winter was going to be more
or less untouchable to the commonfolk soon, he’d have many
fans...he wasn’t sure if Winter was aware of that yet, but it was a
stinging thought at the back of his mind. They’d probably wouldn’t
able to hang out...
“Yeah, I give you my luck!” Emerald exclaimed happily, without
missing a beat. “I hope that your adventures go great!”
"Well," Kiro began, stretching. "Where to next? The sky's the
limit, really. Literally, in fact." It seemed like he was asking
Emerald and Winter, clearly planning to lead the way.
“I don’t know...” Emerald murmured. “I guess I was going to see
Typhoon again...” He murmured, looking slightly distracted.
Thoughts were swirling around...
"I can certainly come, if you like." Typhoon's voice came quietly
from the other corner of the cavern. Sparky was leaning against his
adopted father, asleep, Typhoon himself in a sitting position,
leaning against the wall.
"Great, ever since he learned to stop overworking himself. He's
getting stronger." His eyes were filled with warmth, feeling proud
of the young colt he'd found lost and injured in the woods. "We
were just playing a game of sherades while you were gone, so you
didn't miss much." He tapped the Riolu's head with his tail.
“And to think I could’ve died, walking in on that cocoon...”
Emerald murmured as he hugged Typhoon’s tail, nuzzling it. “I’m
glad you’re getting a vacation, Typhoon...”
Typhoon didn't want to think about the fact that Emerald had
supposedly unknowingly walked that close to death. "I'm glad
I got to see you, honestly. Couldn't think of a better way to spend
this..."
“I can think of a better way.” Emerald grinned. “When we’re both
sit bouncing on some giant purple bubbles, making ‘em squeak.” He
giggled softly, as to not wake up Sparky. “...just kidding~ but I
did love those moments...”
"Me too...I don't know if there's something like that here, but if
there is, I'm sure we'll know about it soon." He was messing with
Sparky's red fur at this point, combing his fingers through it.
"Maybe I can host a party or something like that? Maybe I could
invite some of my old staff...or family members..you wouldn't have
met them yet...and you can bring your bubbles." He winked.
“Huh? You want fun, just godfather and son too? With a party for
everyone?” Emerald said excitedly as he hugged him. “You’re
amazing~.” His tail wagged extremely quickly
"You're friend said he was the party guy, and I certainly believe
him!" Typhoon exclaimed, still rather quietly, not to wake the colt
"Besides, I think a party would be the perfect way for you to meet
my closest friends and family, and I could meet yours, if you want,
that is."
Emerald nodded happily. “Of course, it could work! You could meet
everyone...I’m hoping Fortem can come too but he’s pretty busy
nowadays...” He murmured
"I'm hoping to meet him myself. You keep praising him, so he must
be great! Just ask him when the time comes, I guess?" Typhoon began
thinking of what to do if he ever hosted a party...who to invite,
who would come...it was sorta nerve wracking, to be honest...
Meanwhile, Sparky shifted in his sleep, causing his bell to jingle
just a bit.
"Now? Whatever you want, I guess. I wanted to explore this place a
bit while Winter has you here. Even if that means waking up Sparky
for a bit." He looked down at the Keldeo, remembering how he sprang
awake every morning, bouncing around like an igglybuff. He was sure
he wouldn't mind, even if it did startle him.
“Ah perhaps it is best you do to that~ that’s probably more
important especially when you already had time in Luminia.” Emerald
said, nodding with understanding. Truthfully...he did want to get
away from the others a little but he did what’s best for the others
