Nightfall tried petting Mint on the head. He did it very lightly, not wanting to hurt the fragile sloth on his neck. He relaxed a bit, and the scroll behind his back was showing.

Nightfall said, “Thanks.” without stuttering, then looked at it. He didn’t look for king because he was still sort of in a conversation with someone, and he had her sloth on his neck.

Nightfall grabbed the two Animus scrolls and checked them out, then went to his winglet dorm. He wondered which bed was his. He knew the hammock would be the rainwing, kelp the seawing, mud the mudwing, sand the sandwing, but he didn’t know where his would be.

Nightfall had decided to sleep on the moss, since h thought it would be for him, although he had cast a spell on it to always make him comfortable when he slept or laid on it. He hoped none of the teachers noticed. He rushed out of the room, the two scrolls on the scroll rack that he had found next to the beds and started heading to the breakfast area. He was running because he was hungry and didn’t wanna have to run into anyone. Not yet anyways.

Nightfall had seen a bunch of dragonets in the cafeteria so he snuck around, grabbed a mango from a fruit pile that everyone was allowed to choose from, and ate it, then started trying to sneak out of the cafeteria, hoping a teacher wouldn’t make him stay.

Nightfall said, “B-but I don’t have any food.” The last of his mango was already eaten. He started to try and sneak by Winter to get out of the eating area. He didn’t t want anyone, especially Winter, to find out he was an animus.
