Merle shrank back under the girls' gazes. He fidgeted with his fingers. "U-uh, hi t-there. M-my name's Merle..." The boy murmured.

"Kenzie, nice to meet'cha." She managed to smile at him, which he returned rather awkwardly.

“I’ll go check out the damage from upstairs” Angie said turning into a ghost and floating to the floor above and when she got there, she turned back into a person and looked at the stairs “the damage is pretty bad!” Angie yelled down. “I’ll test it!” Angie added as she gripped the railing and carefully put all her weight down one step at a time.

"B-be careful, Angie!" Merle called out, following after her. He stopped when he got to the stairs, shock and horror on his features. What could have possibly done that to the stairs?

Alice silently followed Merle up the stairs, and when she was right behind him she said, "Unkown was going nuts up here earlier."

Jax decided to stay behind with Ally, who seemed both a bit happy and a little upset. He frowned softly, feeling bad for her and slithered right next to her, placing the tip of his tail near her.

Ally looked at him, a bit startled at the fact he placed his tail right in front of her. "You can touch it," Jax mumbled, "it won't bother me..." Nodding, she started stroking his tail, feeling that it was both smooth in one direction and a bit rough on the other.

The boy nearly jumped out of his clothes. He turned to Alice, a very poor attempt at a glare on his features. "C-can you stop d-doing that?! Somebody's g-gonna have a heart attack b-because of you!"

Kenzie stayed behind, chewing on her bubblegum. She looked around a bit, then started walking down the hall. She wondered who else lived here.

The Unknown had vanished again, but now returned, lowering itself slowly and silently from a hole in the roof which led to an attic. Its feet touched the ground quietly, and it let go of the ceiling, crouching down behind Merle. Its face warped slightly, as if it had just opened its mouth, and a low bellow echoed out of its chest. Smoke poured from its face as well, dispersing on the ground at Merle's feet.

Startled, Merle changed into his shadow form. He his his face behind his wings, effectively blending in to the shadows around him. To the untrained eye, it would look like he wasn't even there.

Ally started to feel tired, her body feeling heavy.

Jax noticed that and asked, "There's a bed over there, I can help you get there if you're too tired to walk." Nodding, Ally leaned against him as he slithered towards the bed. Ally placed herself down. Jax smiled softly before leaning against the wall near the door.

Merle peeked out from behind his wings. "A-are you s-sure Angie? It doesn't look like i-it."

Kenzie walked down the hallway, her hands shoved in her pockets. She blew a bubble with her gum, the loud 'POP' from it echoing through the house.

Jax wasn't prepared for that and hissed in surprise, his tail lashing on the ground.

Ally on the other hand was still fast asleep. "Don't know how you can still sleep." Jax thought, looking from outside the room to Ally.

Kenzie yawned a little. It seemed the eventful evening was finally beginning to take a toll on her. She looked around, until she noticed one of the rooms had light coming from underneath its door. Was someone in there?

After not hearing that popping sound anymore, he relaxed, lowering his tail. "I'll be right back..." Jax mumbled, slithering out of the room, leaving Ally to rest on the bed.

She was fast asleep to hear what Jax told her, sighed softly to herself.
