Hayes shakes his head. Cupping his hands around his mouth he shouts: "Go home ya' drunk! You aren't in any state to join us!" Like everyone else, he has no idea that this man is the trail lead. He is delightfully blind to the consequences he'll face for daring to say such things to a man that weilds the authority Rooster holds.
*As Rooster spoke, Reyna slowly left her wagon and began to walk to the front, weaving through the crowd gently and politely*

Gwen's pitied gaze turns into respect. Unlike Hayes, she senses the potential in Rooster. His little show before may be enough to lower everyone's guards, but she realizes that Rooster was assigned to guide them for a reason. "Aye!" She calls out, even though this was most likely a rhetorical question.
she thought "i cant wait to see my mom its been 3 whole years since she left dad".she stopped smiling and looked up at the sky.
misttens stuck her head out of the pocket and mewed.

Hayes, on the other hand, had mixed feelings. It hurt to leave his mother, grandmother, and soon to be sister behind. Especially under the hands of the monster he is forced to call father. On the other hand, he is finally free of his father and he can finally live his dream. His muscles stiffen slightly as he is forced to draw the reigns back. Now he can see why his steeds were so cheap, they didn't obey his orders very well. The sudden tension forces Scout to jump off of him. She walks into the back of the wagon, leaving Hayes alone up at the front. Hayes won't admit it, but he almost immediately misses her company. It's quite silly, but she is his last connection to home, and to the one's he loves.
