There were two guards going from one end of the cell to the other,back and forth,in silence. "I-Is someone out there?!? There are two guards in this area." the voice said while stomping the ground to the best of its ability.

She burst round the corner, her boots thudding as she slammed against the ground. Like a flash of lightning, she swung the sword out of its sheath and slashed at the guard’s armour, flashing backwards and putting the sword back in the sheath. She put her hand on her mask, ready to summon Hypnos again.

The guard seemed to painlessly melt as a new being rose from the weird liquid state. Said new being is a creature whose eyes were covered in mysterious darkness. It's head was hung low and it wore a black robe. It seemed flinched from the attack.

Hotara flinched away, looking at the creature with large, confused eyes. “Hypnos!” She called, taking off her mask and her face blazing blue for a moment. Words and meanings flooded through her mind. Feeling overwhelmed for a moment, she pointed at the creature. “Agi!” Hypnos flapped his wings a few times, pointing at the creature lazily just as Hotara did and causing the creature to go up in flames.

The unknown being was knocked back a bit and after regaining it's footing, it started gathering dark energy even though the damage caused to it was a lot as there were quite visible burn marks. A bit of rooting could also be heard from the cell all the previous noise was coming from.

Seeing that it was weak, she put the mask back on and swung at it with the Shinken again. She slid it back into the sheath, glancing at Derek to see if he was okay.

The unknown being let out a faint cry as it got eviscerated. The other guard didn't seem to have taken notice of the current events as he kept moving along his path,walking a bit before turning a corner.

Tith chuckled. These were obviously the 'cool' kids of the school; complete idiots, in her eyes. "Hey, whilst you're at it, might want to stop threatening first-years. It's not the best hobby. Perhaps you could take up gardening," she called, before turning her back on them and walking down the corridor to her left, not giving them time to respond. Still chuckling, she slid her hand into her pockets, barely registering the surrounding classrooms.

Derek had stood blinking at the event for a few seconds, then had sprinted once more after Hotara. His mind was full of questions, but he didn't dare ask them at the moment. Questions later, potential rescue mission now. And, he thought, I still want to ask the principal about past buildings.

One of the seniors clenched their fist and shook it in anger but snapped out of it rather quickly.

While you were running down the corridor,trying to figure out who's the one calling out from their cells,there were quite a lot of shadowy figures,prisoners who bore the resemblance of other Shujin students,emotionless. However, there was one who stood out,actually crying for help and moving around. It was a...dog? A brown toy poodle to be exact. It was running around and hopping around as it saw you arrive unharmed. "I knew you would come!" it remarked.

Hotara looked at the dog blankly. She looked down at her hand and then back at the dog, a frown on her face with her eyes wide with surprise. “Are you one of those goopy guys too...? Do we need to fight now...?” She muttered, taking a step towards the cell.

"No! Absolutely not! Comparing me to Shadows is very disrespectful you know... Can you please get me out of here? I promise to help you defeat that jerk and stop him from traumatising other students!" He sniffed around a bit and inspected you two quite closely,as close as he could. "You have a persona as well! I do too! This cell in particular has such a strong distortion that keeps me from using it... Wait,you seem...nornal...aren't you one as well?" he turned to Derek.

Hotara pauses for a moment. “Tell me what a persona is.” She held the scabbard in one hand and the handle of the sword in her other hand. She trusted the dog for the most part, however she wanted to be sure she could.

After stepping out of the cell,the toy poodle's appearance changed. There was a medieval helmet on him and his body was covered with some sort of iron armor,suitable for dogs. "That cell had such a big distortion that completely overwhelmed my-Oh yeah,I should probably explain what's the catch..." he took a brief moment to think. "This place is your school,right? Don't you recognise the way halls and floors are laid out? This is how the owner of this Palace views the school. All of his distorted desires and ill intentions are what created this,a Palace. Oh! You must have also noticed that you don't have the same outfit as before,at least one of you. " he glanced at Derek "...but I'll explain that when we get out of here,the other guard's coming back!" he said as he started quietly jogging away. "This way!" he whispered.

Derek's right eye twitched at the tone the dog used, at the look in its eyes when it looked at him. Almost sneering, he followed the dog and Hotara slowly, his eyes checking over his shoulder every few moments.

"Shhh! I strongly suggest being stealthy! They will spot us if we keep going like this!" He said as he continued normally. "I should turn to my human form anyyy moment now... being stealthy as a dog is way easier than being stealthy as a human actually. We're not that far away from the exit it's just a couple more turns- Guards!" he whispered as he stood behind a wall,peaking the corner. The room wasn't that dimly lit,but it wasn't as bright as outside. The walls were ice cold and had a very dark blue color. There were two guards walking towards you,unsuspecting. "Do you reckon could perhaps engage and ambush them or try to find a way to go by unnoticed?" he turned to Hotara.

She narrowed her eyes in thought, staring at the guard in a shadow. Glancing at the dog for a moment, she turned to the guard and then at a dark patch of shadows behind him. Within a blink, she was behind the guard. Taking the shinken from its sheath and slashing the guard’s back, she swiftly put the sword back and nodded at the dog.
