The moment that he saw that she was still breathing, he collapsed
in relief breath coming out in strained pants as he tried to get
oxygen back into his spinning head. His mind was a blur up until
the point when Nova's eyes fluttered open, consciousness flooding
back into her body. Brushing away a few stray strands, he smiled at
her, overwhelming relief at seeing those beautiful eyes of hers
flooding him. "Hey there. Gave us quite the scare." He breathed,
downplaying exactly how frightened he had been
Feeling downright mentally sick and ill-at-ease, Adelaide was
barely able to keep her mind occupied on the ride back. Seeing that
Nova and Gateguard were going to be occupied, she murmured to
Gateguard to extend her best wishes to Nova, joining them. Each of
her muscles was screaming from overuse and she felt about ready to
faint from weariness. It wasn’t dismay at seeing a person from her
own district shot multiple times as he had. No, she recognized the
dark feeling inside her as guilt. Guilt that she wasn’t able to
protect yet someone else from her care. Guilt that someone else
just had to get hurt under her watch. It didn’t take much to
understand that Adelaide blamed herself for not being able to dodge
in front of Nova in time. If only she’d done it, if only she’d been
faster, they might all be able to rest at ease.
Reaching the door at last and yanking the white ornate headdress
off her head, she gently opened the door, shivering. It would
appear that Kardia was already asleep, or getting there. Heart
heavy, she roughly took off every last piece of her armor and set
it on a stand. Looking at herself in a mirror was something she
could barely do. Guardsman of the Mockingjay. Adelaide
thought bitterly, giving the girl in the mirror a shrewd, icy look.
Who can I protect that is close to me?
Seeing Nova rousing, she sighed with relief, though her tone
remained flat, “You just took nearly a whole round of bullets to
the ribs.”
Laughing slightly mostly to get rid of his own fear, he gently
cradled Nova's hand using the light weight to keep him grounded.
"Yeah... You're lucky that your outfit protected you." He breathed
out, smiling as he took note of Adelaide's leave. He was also
worried about her, but he wasn't exactly in the best position to do
any comforting. "I'm not to sure myself what happened after but
we're safe I assume."
Rolling over, Kardia watched Adelaide as she glared at herself in
the mirror, the tension in the room telling her all that she needed
to know. Slowly sliding out of bed, she made slow movements towards
the other girl, making sure that she could see her through the
mirror before gently wrapping her arms around Adelaide's waist.
"You did you best." She mused, resting her head on Adelaide's
shoulder, smiling as she rubbed small circles into the other's
waist. "There's no need to beat a dead horse, yeah?"
Gateguard heard the hovercraft start up, he realized they were
leaving Two. Good, the sooner they left the better. The hovercraft
jerked a bit giveing the indication that that they were caught in
turbulence. For a while the two just stayed in eachother's company
in silence until Nova rugged voice broke it. "Hey Gategaurd? How
much farther from 13 are we?"
"Dunno, why?" He noted the color drained from Nova's face.
"I think I'm about to hurl." Nova admitted weakly.
"Hey, its fine. I'm here, let me get a bag or something, just take
deep breaths okay?" He soothed, looking around to see if there was
anything that could be used to help alleviate her nausea.
Nova nodded and did her best to try to relax as her stomach kept
shifting. "I dont normally do well in air crafts, that's why they
were heitent on sending me over. It would help if they had windows
but those pose as a safety hazard." Nova lightly laughed a little.
"So I'm basicly screwed everytime I set foot on a hovercraft."
Gateguard snooped around the room and finally settled on the
trashcan nearby deciding it would have to do.
"So suddenly?" Harlow asks with a laugh. "Well, that's good to
hear. Now you won't be such a cranky grump anymore" Harlow teases
as she sticks her tounge out at Leaf
Leaf smirked at Harlow, dropping her eyelids seductivly. "Did your
really stick your tounge out at me?" She asked Harlow in seductive
tones. "That means I have to put it to good use right?~" She was
suddenly closer to Harlow, practicly sitting in her lap, her face
inches from hers.
A blush comes across Harlow's face at her sudden forwardness. "Oh
yeah?" Harlow asks. She tries to copy Leaf's seductive tone but it
comes out as a squeak. She clears her throat and leans forward and
kisses Leaf. But rather than pull away she deepens the kiss. She
ever so gently drapes her hand over Leaf's hip and drags her in
closer to her.
(Ahhhh I love this ship)
Taking the trash can, Gateguard hurried back over to Nova and put
it beside her head, rubbing circles into her back. "It's okay, it's
okay." He soothed, letting her rest on his body. "Just rest and do
what comes to you, Don't worry, I'm here." Murmuring nonsensical
nothings, he kept her company while the ride rocked on
Leaf wrapped her arms around Harlow's neck, unwillingly pulling
away when they both needed air, blush dusting her cheeks. Harlow
knew exactcly where Leaf's sensitive spots were and gently nibbled
between Leaf's neck and shoulder, she was rewared with a light moan
from Leaf. Leaf let Harlow alternate the kissing between her neck
and lips, her hands roamed up and down her body. It sent a shiver
down Leaf's spine, but it felt good and she didn't want it to
stop.
"Harlow. . .!" Leaf gasped out as Harlow found Leaf's sweet
spot.
At the last mintue Gateguard pulled Nova up so that she was sitting
up, which he figured would be easier then laying down. Her body
leaning against his as they waited with dread for the invetable. A
harsh lurch form the hovercraft made Nova's face disapear into the
trashcan as she started heaving. It was as aweful as it sounded.
Gateguard winced as it splashed in the trashcan, it was an
unpleasant sight and smell for that matter. Nova was gripping the
trash can hard enough that her knuckles were white, but once the
vomit changed to bile, it became obvious Nova was lacking in
energy, her arms and hands shaking with weakness.
Chakti nodded, snapping back to reality. He sat up as the medic
stepped in. "I hope I'm not disturbing anything? Anyways,
Chakti, your new arm will be done in three days time." The man
gave a look, a false look of knowing, and stepped back out. Chakti
nodded, glancing at what remained of his shoulder. He laid back
down, a loud sigh escaping his mouth. "I'll have to get a new E
Pluribus Unum tattoo..." He thought about the words that had been
on his forearm, then winced about bringing up his tattoos . He gave
a sideways glance at Tempest, hoping she didn't ask, but she didn't
seem to see it.

Adelaide turned from her harsh brooding when Kardia’s lithe form
pressed against her side, and she sighed heavily, allowing for some
of the tension from her shoulders as she welcomed her friend into
her personal bubble. The soldier let out a low purr as she allowed
for Kardia’s gentle words to soothe her wound—up nerves. It wasn’t
much of a surprise that part of her mind immediately zeroed into
the redheads touch on her waist and back. You did your best.
The redhead soothed. No need to beat a dead horse yeah?
Kardia was right; it’d be better to let the matter rest. Nova’s
suit was bulletproof, and likely there would be little injuries
beyond bruised ribs. She shifted to put her chin on Kardia's head,
basking in her warmth.
*Snow watched the live feed of Nova. His eyes followed her
movements and his jaw tightened when she would mention his name. A
man walked into his office and stood at attention.* Orders
sir? *Snow looked at him and stood up* Cut the feed and smoke
them out. I want Miss Nova to be either dead or in custody by the
weeks end

Tempest gives Chakti a pitied look when the medic mentioned his
prosthetic arm. She doesn't say anything about it right now. If he
wants to talk about it then he will. There was no need for her to
pressure him into doing it.
Harlow giggles at this, she gives Harlow a mischievous look. Her
hands ever so carefully touch the skin underneath her shirt. Before
she can do anything she suddenly straightens up, hearing a sound.
She groans, not wanting to stop what was about to come. Gran
suddenly walks into the room, her eyes still firey from the
fight.
"Split apart you two" Gran says with a teasing smile for Fern's
credit. But her eyes were stern.
Leaf whined a bit and unwillingly got off of Harlow and sat on the
other bed so as to avoid whatever rath Gran was possibly
threatening when Fern left the room.
Chakti sat up again, watching the doorway where the paramedic had
disappeared into. He glanced at Tempest, then hopped up off the
bed, looking for a real shirt instead of bandages. He sighed,
finding none, then stretched his legs and back some. "Well, at
least the drug's worn off. Can I keep my traditions alive now?" He
gave her a weak smile, clearly not meaning anything rude by the
phrase. His eyes showed one thing very clearly: it was killing him
that he hadn't already told Harlow he'd broken the promise he'd
made just a few hours ago. His feet were bare, his legs covered in
just a light pair of sweat pants, and his top mostly covered in
bandages. He looked something like a fresh war veteran, maybe even
an active soldier that had just been brought in from a war zone.
Tempest glances towards the door, as if she were looking around for
someone. "Okay" she tells him. "But you better not faint or
something on the way over to her. The nurses here will have my head
if you get hurt" she adds. "Are you sure you are fit enough to
visit them?" She asks as she glances at his wounds before quickly
glancing up to look him in the eye.
"Aw man" Harlow tells Gran. She turns to Leaf and mouths
Shoot... we got caught. She doesn't seem to concerned about
Gran catching them. Mostly because they weren't doing anything too
terrible when she walked in. Her eyes soften when Gran sits down on
the edge of the bed and holds Leaf's hand.
"Now... don't worry Leaf. We have it taken care of. But your
parents were here. They were going to take you, Fern, and the
kids... once again, it's taken care of. But I think you should
still be aware of this" Gran tells Leaf.
