It’s been a century since the great war. Giratina and his forces stormed the world by force, coming back from the distortion world to take revenge on Arceus for trapping him inside. He wanted to exact his revenge by destroying everything that Arceus had created and cared for, and he almost succeeded. Thousands of pokemon sacrificed their lives to fight Girantina’s Army, who were promised power and glory in exchange for their service. The pokemon in Giratina’s army were upset at the state of the world, and that Arceus allowed pokemon to be so evil as to kill and fight with each other over unimportant details, and wanted to make a change.

You live in a town called Torterra Town, a village tucked in a basin in a mountain range, with a lot of history with the war. The nearby mountain, Mount Eternal, is the tallest mountain in the world, and is where Arceus was said to reside, though that was just a myth. Either way, Girantina intended to destroy Arceus and the mountain there, telling him that if he didn’t show up for a fight, he would have his massive amount of forces destroy the remaining towns immediately. However, Girantina wasn’t counting on pokemon from all over the world traveling to the mountain, as well as legendary pokemon, to take on his army. All of the pokemon worked together to protect their home, and many died defending it, including many of the legendaries. However, their deaths were not in vain, as the pokemon managed to hold off Giratina's army so that they couldn’t attack Arceus, as the creator pokemon himself took down Giratina, before ascending back into the heavens, tired from the fight. Giratina was locked back in the distortion realm and chained back up.

Exhausted, the pokemon of the world rebuilt their towns, and remembered the reason Giratina gained so many followers: Pokemon were being unfair and cruel. They tried and remembered to not let that happen again. They’d all learned a lesson. They made many books and artworks depicting the fight as a reminder. However, a century later, the pokemon of this generation have mostly forgotten this, or don’t care much about it. But, all in all, the world is in a much better state than it was after Giratina’s attack.

You’ve grown up in Torterra Town your whole life, and have learned a lot about this historic battle. Recently, the town Xatu has been having horrible visions and dreams of a second battle. No one knows if it will really happen, but the town is very traditional, and most pokemon think that it's better to be safe than sorry. You, yourself, have also been having strange dreams lately… The citizens of Torterra Town are planning to discuss the Xatu visions tomorrow, and everyone in town is worried that something terrible will happen…


Gonna let you guys know in advance, the plot centers in your characters quite a bit, so I’ll probably have some sort of plan in mind for them… which might slightly contradict your own, but it's a cool plan, I promise, and it won’t ruin most other plans you’ll have for your character, too. I’ll be the narrator in this RP, and I’ll help describe the surroundings, and I’ll also RP the NPCs.

Let’s Begin!

[All]
It's nighttime in Torterra town. The stars are out, the place is quiet, and you’re all fast asleep, in your home, dreaming… You’ve been having some pretty vivid dreams recently, they feel quite real.

[Kiwi]
You dream that you’re facing a serene, peaceful lake; you’ve never seen it before, but it feels like deja vu. There's a slight breeze blowing across it’s smooth, familiar surface, which is clear enough to see fish pokemon underneath. In this day and age, it's rare to find a lake so clean.

[Summer]
You dream of dark clouds rolling in around you, not ominously, but boldly. Rain drips heavily from the clouds, but you, yourself are surrounded in a comfortable wall of flames, evaporating the rain before it hits. Fog covers the ground beneath you, making it hard to see.

[Jericho]
You dream about the stars in space. You’re surrounded by darkness, stars and nebulas of many colours. It’s a strangely relaxing scene, you notice, as you move freely across the space, feeling weightless. Rocks leisurely float around you, drifting through space as well.

[Bill]
You dream about volcanoes and smoke. Magma spills from the sides of the volcanoes, and you feel warm. Cracks run through the ground towards you, but they look more like they came from you, than coming from someone else to attack. The smoke makes everything blurry.

[Arch]
You dream that you’re standing on a mountain range, warm light hitting its surface, and lighting it up, dramatically. It makes you feel powerful and strong, like you could do anything. In the distance, you see smoke rising, from a volcano, perhaps.

At the sight of water, Kiwi perked to delight. She trotted happily to the smooth lake, like heaven to her, especially with the visible fish, healthy and tasty for her. Water delighted her ever since her evolution into vaporeon, where she had adapted to life beside lakes and in water. Though, even as an Eevee, she'd been fascinated by rivers and such, always splashing her 'siblings' after a rainy day.

"Wow." Arch looks delighted. "Smoke!" she starts to run towards the source. A tugging in her stomach stops her. "This doesn't feel right." her head kept telling her. She shook it off and took off running, as fast as she could to find the source. The heat doesn't bother the fire type. If anything, it makes her happier.

Jericho looked around as he found himself in space. He briefly wondered how he was able to breath, not recognizing he was in a dream, but he quickly left that train of thought as he drifted among the stars. It was serene, and left him with a small smile. He felt like he could just become a star, watch as planets formed around him, circling in orbit. He wondered if he would see life grow on any of the planets. He slowly became lost in his own made up scenario.

[All]
Everything gets darker, making it hard for you to see. You hear a startling, unearthly voice boom at you from everywhere at once. I WILL HAVE MY REVENGE, it says. FREE ME, AND I MIGHT SPARE YOU WHEN I DO. IT IS INEVITABLE. You hear an earthshaking roar in your dreams, waking you up unexpectedly.

The morning light shines on your face as you awake. You can hear chattering from the townsfolk outside, in Torterra Town. It’s 8:00 in the morning on a Sunday, and the weekly town hall meeting to discuss recent events starts at 5 in the afternoon, so you have the day free! The library is open, as well as the diner, the town hall, and the park. The battle sites on Mount Eternal and the Battle Mural are able to be seen as well. The day seems filled with possibility!

Jericho let out a strangled gasp as he awoke, slipping onto the floor. He let out a soft moan as he pushed himself to his feet. "What was that?" He thought anxiously, as he slowly exited the house. He figured he'd stop by the diner to see if they had anything to eat for breakfast. Maybe he'd stop by the park along the way and calm down.

Kiwi rubbed her eyes and got out of bed. Her former rescue team still snoring away. Of course she had to wake them up. "I'm going to grab breakfast!" She called to them, raising her voice to break through their unconsciousness. "Don't eat anything!" Her words were met with groans and quick movement as her 'siblings' and friends woke up.

The diner was quite busy. The waiters were running around, taking orders, and the chefs looked hard at work, making lots of berry smoothies and salads. An old stoutland, Connor, was talking to an awkward looking Xatu, Phoios, and in the corner, a Purloin looked to be plotting mischevously with his friends. Some of the waiters looked like they were ready to take more orders.

Kiwi walked up to one of them. "Excuse me?" She just wanted to take a few pancakes back, she didn't want to add work to the obviously hard working waiters. Though she thought some of them could move faster and be less...in the way..

"Ah yes?" It was a mienfoo. He was in the process of delivering a plate of seared pecha berries to a customer, but quickly delivered it, and turned back to face Kiwi. "Ah, hello!" He greeted. "What can I get you?"

"Just a stack of pancakes for 12, 3 each..." she did the math in her head for a moment. "36 small pancakes, please. That'll be all." She made sure to add a little smile, though awkward at the end, to be polite. She curled her tail close to her body, trying to be as small as possible in the busy diner.

Jericho slid into an empty seat. He figured he'd wait until somebody came to serve him. He didn't really eat out often, but he felt like this was needed to take his mind off his dream. He noticed a Vaporeon at the Diner as well, though he made no move to speak with them, or anyone for that matter.

The mienfoo wiped some sweat off his brow. "To go, I'll assume? Coming right up, just a minute!" He rushed back across the diner nimbly to deliver the order to the chefs. There wasn't much else to do but wait, and listen to the gossip around town. Connor seemed to be consoling Phoios about some sort of problem, and the Purloin from before had a sneaky grin in his face as he chatted to his purloin gang.

The mienfoo was back, this time with Jericho. "Good morning! What would it be today, sir?" He asked Jericho, with a wave. Right next to Jericho were Connor and Phoios, as well as the Purrlions on the other side.

Kiwi decided to make her way closer to Connor to hear the conversation. Not close enough to obviously be eavesdropping, but close enough to hear the gossip of the town and interesting conversations in the background as she awaited her order to be filled

"So what have these visions been about?" Connor asked, in a rumbly, soothing voice. "I-its hard to explain," Phoios began. "Its really bad... the ground getting torn up, and pokemon dying all around... its terrible..." Her voice is shaky, and Connor puts a gentle paw around her, soft for a large stoutland like himself. "Are you sure these are visions? They could just be bad dreams..." "No, they're visions..." Phoios told Connor. "I'm sure..." "Perhaps we can discuss them at the town hall meeting today?" Conner asked, considerately. "I'm sure some of the other townsfolk will have an idea about them." Phoios nodded her head shyly, clearly grateful for the stoutland.

Kiwi's ear fin twitched, and she thought back to her dream. Something about being spared? How would she do that? She knew Xatu often stayed still all day due to horror of their visions of the future....this could be concerning...her family...

Connor and Phoios seemed to have gone back to their meals. Connor had ordered a hearty stack of what looked like toast and jam, and Phoios was drinking a sweet smelling berry smoothie. Meanwhile, the Purrloin was whispering to his friends on the other side of the cafe. The mienfoo waiter returned. "Ah, sorry to keep you waiting, here's your meal!" He was holding a pretty big box. A wonderful aroma came from inside, the smell of fresh pancakes.

Jericho looked over at the Mienfoo, a little startled. "Uhm... could I have some pancakes... please?" The croagunk asked, once he had finished looking at the menu. He looked up at the pokemon, and messed with his hands under the table.

Kiwi, still feeling a bit ruffled, managed to smile at the waiter and take the box, carrying it back to her home where her 'siblings' and other team members had to be up by now. As she opened the door, an Eevee greeted her.

"Ooh! Are those pancakes!" Her young, squeaky child voice asked excitedly, her tail was wagging.

Kiwi smiled. "Yup! Will you set up the table while I carry these inside, Nova?" Kiwi was glad Nova was here, the little child always made herself helpful around the place, and she was just so adorable. Nova nodded and ran inside, leaving Kiwi to carry in the meal.
