"Of course, you can take whichever of these pokemon you want!" Professor Juniper explained, gesturing to all the pokeballs. She then pointed to the ones with the water drops. "These ones hold the Oshawotts." Her finger then moved to the leafs, "These are the Snivys," and finally she paused at the fire, "and these are Tepigs."



After hearing the explanation Leslie darted foward, picking up a pokeball with a flame on it. "I want a Tepig!" She exclaimed, sending the orange pig pokemon out.

Luke looks at the pokeballs. He looks at the one with a leaf on it and picks it up. “I think that I’m going to choose Snivy!” he said and picks up the pokeball.

Daphne smiled at her partner Pokemon, "Oh I'm so happy to pick you my little Oshawott, I'm excited about the adventures that you and I will endure, and I guess for the others they will go on adventures themselves hopefully this will excite so many of us trainers", Daphne said.

Luke let’s out his Snivy. “I’m gonna call you Slither.” he said excitedly. Slithers runs around him and goes on Luke’s shoulder.

Leslie squealed as she scooped the Tepig up into her arms, "You're so cute! I'm gonna call you Coal!" She wasn't the most creative with names, but she tried.

Professor Juniper smiled as she watched the children pick and become acquainted with their pokemon. She let them have a few minutes with their pokemon before once again, clapping to get their attention. "It's good to see you all getting along with your pokemon!" She said cheerfully, "and I can see the potential in all of you! I hope you'll all remember this day as the start to your great adventure, your story. I suggest though before you leave, that you spend a few minutes getting to know your pokemon and say goodbye to your family. I'll send you all off at Route 1 in an hour."

Luke starts walking home back to his house to say goodbye to his parents, then go to walk around oitside of route 1. He says to Slither, “So, what kind of food do you like?”

Leslie threw the door to her home open, marching in proudly with Coal trailing by her legs. Her mom immediately squealed over the pig pokemon, picking him up and cuddling him. Her dad had left for work seemingly, as his coat and shoes were gone. While her mon was distracted by Coal, she used this chance to sneak to her room and pack for her journey. She crept back into the room and sat down on the couch. She talked with her mother for the remainder of the hour before leaving home. She made her way to Route 1, her bag slung across her shoulder.

Feeling happy about her selection, Daphne left the Laboratory and headed to Route 1, "Now Oshawott, I think you and I are already fast friends, I just hope there's going to be interesting Pokemon in the Unova region because I am curious about those Pokemon, the anticipation is building within me", Daphne said as she walked to Route 1 where the other trainers were heading.

Aria haphazardly threw on her clothes. She was late because her alarm had ran out of batteries. She shot downstairs, grabbed a mouthful of toast and disappeared out the door. She was just able to finish the toast when she got to the lab. She knocked on the door, panting heavily.

Aria

Professor Juniper opened the door, letting Aria in. She gave her a warm smile as she let the girl enter her lab. "Sorry, it's a bit of a mess. I was trying to find a few things." She shuffled through some papers, organizing them neatly in a stack. She moved over to a cart, pushing it out. On the cart sat some pokeballs, some marked with a fire, some with a water drop, and others with leaves. "Here, you can choose from any of these pokemon. There's Snivy, Tepig, and Oshawott." As she spoke the names of each pokemon, she pointed to a pokeball with the mark of its respective typing. She handed Aria a black and red devise as well. "And this is a pokedex. It will help you on your journey. My Xtranciever number is on a sticky note on the back." Juniper glanced up at the clock on her wall before turning back to Aria. "I'll leave you to pick then. I'll be waiting at Route 1 to send you and the others off at around... 10:00 am." She picked up her stack of papers, walking out of the lab.



Leslie turned to see who was also at Route 1, she paused when she saw Jesus stepping out. "Hey! What are you doing? Are you not gonna wait for Professor Juniper?" She had a slight teasing tone in her voice.

Aria looked at the pokeballs apprehensively. Suddenly, one of the Snivy ones shivered. "You want to come with me?" Aria asked. The pokeball shivered again. Aria took that as a yes and picked it up, releasing the Snivy. She gave a quiet "Sni!" and nuzzled Aria. The girl smiled. "I think I'll call you Ivy." She decided. She wished she understood pokemon sometimes. Thankfully, Ivy seemed to appreciate her name. "Do you want to stay out of your ball or go in?" Aria asked, and Ivy clung onto her clothes. "Stay out it is." Aria decided to head towards Route 1.
