Samton reached the seventh floor corridor. There, he started
walking back and forth muttering "a private place." As he did so, a
door appeared. Samton opened the door, and motioned the other two
to come in. Inside, there were three chairs laid around a table.
Samton took one of them, and waited.
Suvansh looked around the corridor. As the door opened, he looked
at it in awe. He has heard rumours, but this was the first time he
saw it himself. "Isn't this the famed room of requirements?" He
asks as he took a seat.
"Yes, yes it is indeed. I found it when I was trying to develop the
patronus shield. I wish I never had, but then again, it cannot be
helped, I suppose." Samton chuckled to himself. He turned to
Aurora. "You still do not trust me, I see. Well, it cannot be
helped." He then turned to Suvi. "As I said, I developed a patronus
shield spell. Everything else happened so fast, it was quite
unbelievable. In hogsmeade day, I was attacked by a group of death
eaters, one of whom I killed. In cold blood too, I must say. The
first and last time I used sectumsempra. Why, you might ask...?
"Well, when someone's patronus dies, for a moment they themselves
die. Their harts fill with unbearable vacuum. At that moment, all I
could think of was vengeance. And it is for this reason that my
past 'friend' here is treating me like a psychopath."
"Sam...there must be a way to reverse it! We can and will revive
your patronus!" Suvansh says. He didn't believe that the patronus
could come back, but surely his happiness could.
"Your happiness is like another person in you, Suvi. Just like how
a person doesn't come back from the dead, neither does a person's
happiness. Not after it was murdered."
"That's because you ARE a psychopath." Aurora muttered inaudibly.
She was quiet enough that no one heard her. She wrinkles her nose
at Samton before turning away and beginning to murmur under her
breath.
"You are wrong. Happiness is made of a person's happy memories. A
patronus is the collection of your happy memories. Even if it's
gone for now, it can come back. If not the same, it can be
rebuilt!"
Aurora begins to trace a pattern in midair, making a silvery glow
emit from her wand. With a flourish, she summons a patronus shield.
"Nice spellwork." she says with a nod at Samton. As quickly as it
appeared, is is gone.
"A psychopath would have burnt you where you stand. Lack of
happiness doesn't mean lack of morals. And perhaps, Suvi, perhaps.
I was hoping so, but apparently the one person I thought would help
me sees me like a psychopath." He then turned to Aurora, "why,
thank you! I wish it never existed."
"That is one thing we'll agree on. But... there IS something I can
try." Aurora says, looking hesitant. "I used to do it with my
little sister when ever she was suffering from depression..." she
frowns a bit. She blushes a little bit.
"Now you want to help me? Well, lets hear it then! Although
depression is just happiness falling asleep, I guess we could try
whatever it is you have in your mind."
Aurora scowled at Samton. "Try battling Depression when your only
12!" she snaps at him, her hair turning a fiery red color. "You'll
need to be wandless though." she added, still scowling.
"Should I? I trust you, sure, but there is every reason in this
world for me not to trust her. I have not even attempted to hurt
any of you, didn't even want to, but the way she treats me makes me
feel like we're the only 3 left on this planet. I told you what
happened. I can't help you anymore, not when I'm treated like this.
Suvi, I have nothing against you, but Aurora right here will only
make me even worse." Samton turned to Aurora, " remember how I
still do the right thing? It's by my moral compass. I feel no joy
out of it, but I follow it nonetheless. While you are standing with
your head in the clouds, with no thoughts on how I would feel. This
meeting is over." Samton got up and got out. He held his wand out
visibly while leaving. She deserved no solace. Not after all of
this. He was sure of that much. He started walking to the Ravenclaw
Common Room.
"Sam please- I can't say what she's so cautious about, but there
must be a reason. She is a legilimen. I can't say for sure what she
has seen to act so, but it must not be out of nothing. Once try
what she is telling. Anyways she is not telling you to just disarm
yourself. Maybe the process requires you to be free of magical
possessions!"
"Now you catch on!" Aurora snarls before she leaves completely. The
spell she and her sister had made required the user to have no
magical artifacts on them, or with them.
