Pirates of the Caribbean - RP Sign-up
Forum-Index → Roleplay → RP Sign-up → Pirates of the Caribbean - RP Sign-upIn a world where mermaids sing and ghosts sail once more, there is a constant battle for control over the seas, and the treasures found within. Pirates explore the lands unexplored, spreading tales of their great escapes. Men of the British Navy fight day and night to keep the law in order, and exterminate the threat of pirates. The two sides constantly clash, a never ending war between thieves and the law. However, amidst the chaos, new threats arise. They choose no side, and fight for nothing other than to kill. Tales start to form around these strange appearances. Common folk call them ghost stories, but the survivors call them nightmares. Many often dream for the strange powers these phantoms hold, but power always comes with a price.

If you decide to take on the role of Captain, Commodore, or Admiral for ANY side, you will get to have a ship of your own. You will name it, and can provide a reference picture if you want. Enter the details of your ship in the other section, or below it.
NOTE: We will assume that for the curse of Davy Jones, they have neglected their job and so the crew has taken on the sea-creature monster appearance.

Age: 37

Personality: Harley is very strict and easily irritated. He has a short temper and can be very violent. He has a soft spot for small creatures, and will often fawn over them when he thinks he's alone.
Appearance:
-typical: He's got a dark brown hair, tied back so it's out of the way. His eyes are a crystal blue color. He wears a dark green coat that reaches down to his knees over a dirtied white shirt, but he doesn't typically wear his arms in the sleeves so he can slip it off quickly when needed. Name:
Cathaline Renaldi
Titles:
The Vixen
Age:
34
Gender:
Female
Role:
Pirate Lord of the Pacific Ocean, Captain of the Silver Dawn
Personality:
Cathaline is very conniving and smart, but headstrong too. She often gets too caught up in her plans and greed, causing her to lose sight of her goals from time to time.
Appearance:
Cathaline has dark red hair that is usually braided and tucked into her captain's hat. She usually wears a long white shirt and black trousers, with short, scuffed boots and a long, crimson and black coat. She is also adorned with a variety of necklaces and rings of questionable origin.
Backstory:
Cathaline was orphaned at a young age. She disguised herself as a man and was eventually apprenticed aboard a naval ship. Said ship was captured by the previous Pirate Lord of the Pacific, and she convinced them not to kill her. SHe rose in ranks, eventually becoming first mate of the Silver Dawn, and inherited the ship and title from him upon his death.

Tsukoyomi
Name:
Julian Solo
Titles:
The Ocean's Determination
Captain Dumbass (by his crew only)
Age:
27
Gender:
Male
Role:
Lord of the Mediterranean Sea
Personality:
Julian is flamboyant to say the least and thrives on the life of the pirate. His greed is only second to his loyalty towards his crew, doing anything to either protect or compensate them. He has no patience for liars and deserters, as his most well known feat is striking down a traitor with a trident while the deserter was swimming away. His bold and commanding personality inspires trust in his crew, and his crew knows him to be a fair captain who holds himself equal to everyone onboard, not above.
Appearance:
In stark contrast to many other captains, Julian dresses quite like a regular crew member. His blond hair is tied back into a low hanging pony tail by a blue ribbon, often wearing an unbuttoned white shirt that exposes a very well built and tanned physique. The shirt is cuffed halfway up his biceps and tucked into a pair of high waist pants with ruined cuffs completed with shin high boots. His waist is decorated with two belts, one holding a pouch for his supplies and the other a scabbard for his rapier and cutlass. His ears are extravagantly pierced but wears little jewelry outside of that. An ornate blue sash is tied around his neck upon which rests a beautiful clasp, his symbol of captaincy.
Backstory:
Born to a family of fishermen, Julian spent most of his years out at sea, making a humble living with his family. His town was ravaged by a pirate crew one day and Julian fought back for his own self protection. Having unintentionally killed the captain of the invaders, he was taken away from his family to be dealt with properly. However, his charisma convinced the First Mate to keep him around and thus he began his life as a pirate. He is known for hijacking a rival captain's ship completely wasted once, having a low alcohol tolerance despite how frequently he drinks. This put him in the now captain's good graces and was placed as First Mate. There he remained until the captains death where he took over the crew. During his time as Captain, many people attempted to undermine him for his young age and his appearance as someone who was easily deceived, which led him to many bouts of frustration. His breaking point was his former First Mate selling him out to the British Navy, where he barely escaped with a wreaked ship and three quarters of his crew gone, and it has been said that Julian had told his First Mate "Dead Men Tell No Tales" before pushing him off the ship.

Name:
Mirra Ahvengarde
(mer-ah ah-ven-guard)
Titles:
- The Harbinger
- Storm-teller
Age:
twenty-one years
Gender:
Female
Role:
Quartermaster - Mediterranean Sea Allegiance
Personality:
Mirra is a very…closeted character, not revealing much about herself, and refusing to pry into others business. She holds others at a distance due to being stigmatized for many years. Usually coming off as cold, stoic, and aloof, Mirra’s loyalty is ultimate to her crew. Second chances to her are absolutely non-existent, and she’s known to bear a vengeful grudge. Otherwise, Mirra has a very dry and sarcastic sense of humor, happily picking light fun in a satirical manner. Mirra is very stern, direct and cunning; brutish in a sense.
Appearance:
Mirra is a lean and strong girl with dark storm-blue eyes that look nearly black and relatively fair skin. She has long ebony hair that is usually kept down - she also rarely cuts her hair so it drops to her collarbones. Since she is almost always out She wears a loose dark grey-blue shirt and leather jacket, as well as tight fitting pants. She usually wears a loose cloak with a cowl that hides her face; supplies are kept in her pockets. She keeps a leather pouch for supplies, and two scabbards on a belt for weaponry.
Backstory:
Mirra was born to a rather..complicated situation, though she knows that she was mostly raised in an orphanage. Most of her memory was lost due to situations. She never knew her parents, and lived with a foster family with two half-siblings. She often felt troubled, by what she did not know, and her foster family were not exactly people she got along with; she was often ostracized for being of a different birth family. Not to mention her parents were distant-often fighting or putting her in stages of neglect. What little peace she had was broken when a devastating hurricane ripped down her home and mortally wounded her two foster-parents and one of her foster brothers just as Mirra came home from the marketplace. She was the one who knelt over their broken bodies still as a doe in headlights; shocked beyond words. The townsfolk accused her of bringing in bad luck to the family; these issues with the parents had only started when she came along. That’s when she got her name Harbinger. Since joining Julian’s crew after being forced to leave her village, she has made herself invaluable with her ability to recognize and fortell storms.
