Elemental Wars
Forum-Index → Roleplay → Elemental WarsLouis and Emerson are finishing up their work. They both expertly use their fire powers to bend mental into whatever shape they choose. Their preferred choice being a sword. While the metal is still hot they add special wires that work as temperature control. So powers such as fire and ice can use their sword to harness their ability
Swinging their rounded hammer down with measured force, Shion chipped away at their current project with a narrow chisel. Being commissioned for weaponry was rare these days with the appearance of Louis' weapons shop but Shion took what they could gratefully. Each spark of iron against steel twinkled in the darkened forge, shining brightly before dying away like stars in the night sky. Finishing his project, Shion set aside their tools to wipe sweat from their brow. These were times when they seriously regretted having long hair as even a bun couldn't stop the uncomfortable feeling of matted hair on sweaty skin.
Wiping sweat from his brow Louis sneaks a look out the window. He jumps in surprise realizing that it was dark. "Emerson, we should close shop for the night" he points out. He opens a window to let in some cool air. Unlike Emerson, he cannot handle lots of heat, he doesn't have the power of lava flowing through his veins. From the open window he can see Shion's shop. He much likes Shion's shop. The work was hard, but it must've been harder on Shion doing it by hand
After finishing her weopon, which was a spear, she stretches. It wasn't easy constantly using her powers all day. "I suppose we should" she answers as she places the wire, not entirely focuced on him
Hanging up their apron and tools, Shion dusted filaments off the floor and generally tidied up the area. Their power of stardust wasn't very useful in this line of work. Fire was much more preferred and efficient, producing results that could never be replicated by hand but Shion loved the process of creating, of crafting, of giving life to metal and ore. Their powers could theoretically be used in the final stages to add more reinforcement and a glossy, sparkling finish but the thought of imbuing their works with their own elemental powers wasn't very appealing. What was the use of a flashy finish when more time could have been used to refine and fine tune the work itself? Shion preferred practicality over presentation.
"I'll see you tomorrow then" Louis says as a farewell. They exchange a few glances, silently having a conversation. They've been friends since they were small and can both understand eachother without the need to speak.
"You shall...tomorrow should be a relaxing day now that we are stocked up on weopons" she reassures him. Waving goodbye she turns the other way to walk herself home.
She looked up around the room at the other people, and cleared her throat, finding it suddenly dry and hoarse. “Kela Ravenoir.”
He jumped slightly when Roxy placed her feet up on the table, flinching at the loud noise. Raising an eyebrow at the mocking tone Roxy had, Queen opened his mouth to meet the challenge head on before finding that his voice had mysteriously left him. His lips and tongue formed the correct shapes but no sound came out save for a soft exhale. Was it fear that stole his ability to speak? Of maybe perhaps reverence for someone who Queen was starting to see as someone who was clearly stronger than him in every way. Either way, he licked his lips, gathering his courage and steeling his nerves once again.
“Alraune Queen, at your service.” He murmured eventually, inclining his head politely.
