Somewhere within Mobius a familiar pink Echidna was sitting at the table within her home, her fingers gently laced together as she rested her chin on her hands, wondering to herself what she should do next.

"His reign will start soon...I know it." she lightly muttered to herself, a small smirk appeared on her face. "Surely now things will get interesting."

Shadow looked outside of the window from the place he begrudgingly called 'home' with a low sigh. He was growing bored of the same routine every day and was eager to see what he could do if he were to take full control of Mobius. It would be quite easy, he thought, most of these Mobains could barely hold a candle to him.

"Today is the day..." he whispered under his breath, a dark glint in his crimson eyes. "Today I will take control of this miserable land, and really show what I can do.." He couldn't help but give a low, almost evil sounding, chuckle as his eyes glanced around the entire land of Mobius before him.

Julie-Su lightly sat up in her chair and stretched a little, gently cricking her neck before she stood up and lightly rested her hand on her hip.

"Tch. Least that idiot Knuckles isn't bugging me anymore about things." she grumbled to herself, lightly grabbing at the gun she kept near her hip. "Well..Guess I should go outside and see if anything's going on." She gently ran her fingers through her bangs and made her way outside, gently looking down at her phone.

"Huh..Wonder if Mina is performing tonight..?"

Shadow strode down towards the Castle library. If he wanted to change how things are now, he'd have to change things in the past. "Rewrite history? feh. child's play.." he scoffed as he started to glance through the old, dusty books.

"So... if I'm going to become king, then I'm going to need a queen? tch, typical." he set the book back on the shelf as he turned and made his way out of the castle into town. If he needed a queen he would go and find one, and once he found his queen, he thought as he looked towards the deep green chaos emerald he always kept with him, he would change history forever.

"The real question is... Who is worthy enough to stand at my side?"

Julie-Su continued to look down at her phone, scrolling through her newsfeed about any new information around Mobius, moreover if Mina was performing and if King Shadow was making a move to reshape Mobius.

"Well...That's a first," she chuckled lowly before placing her phone away, continuing to walk, "There's nothing on my newsfeed." As she continued her walk she glanced towards Acorn Castle, a light smirk spread across her face, knowing very well who resided in there.

"I look forward to what you can accomplish here in Mobius, my king." Her hand lightly rested on her hip where her gun holster was, "And I won't let anyone stand in your way. Not even Sonic himself."

Shadow wasted no time, using his Chaos Emerald he enacted upon Chaos Control to make a quick walk through the city. He looked at Amy, Sure she was a hedgehog, but she was always about Sonic, and the last thing he wanted was a queen who'd fawn over someone else. Then he turned towards Trixie, she was cute, he admitted, but he wanted something more. He didn't even pay any mind to the sleeping Lilly, before his eyes turned towards Julie-Su. She seemed keen on the castle, and he couldn't fathom why, but the air about her made him curious.

"Perhaps... Well, I've had my look." He quickly turned his attention towards his emerald. He didn't have much time left to enable his chaos control before it broke free of him. "Tch. Well, I'd better get back for now... Echidna... You'd better be ready for what I've got in store for you..."

And without a single word to anyone, he managed to return to the castle, the chaos control breaking, making it seem like only a few short moments had passed in the world.
