Voltrunner growled. His defense and special defense weren't
anything to write home about and he took quite a lot of damage. He
used Max Lightning again.
Melony was showing her preoccupation, while Lapras seemed tranquil.
"Use Max Geyser, Lapras!" Lapras spewed an inordinate amount of
water onto Voltrunner, causing the weather to warm up just enough
for the hail to turn to rain.
Shaye knew that Voltrunner could only take one more hit. "Max
Lighting, one more time!" She said. The electrical current that was
running across that battlefield from Voltrunner's earlier attacks
increased his speed and boosted the power of his electric-type
attacks.
Lapras went down, the Gigantamax image exploding.
Melony recalled Lapras and stepped forward: "Great job, young
Challenger. This was a decisive win, and I'm glad you're strong
enough to continue your Gym Challenge." Melony held out her gloved
hand for Shaye to shake.
Melony smiled, handing out the Ice Badge. "I hope I'll see you in
the Finals..."
In the meantime, inside Glimwood Tangle, Neilò was doing her
pushups, Flora and Bellatrix meditating on her back. Metallum and
Nives were running around, and the two Psychic-Types were hanging
together, probably communicating telepathically.
Shaye stood up and sighed. "Let's go back to the wild area and
train before heading to Spikemunth" Scorch nodded and the two left
the Pokemon center and Shaye called a flying taxi to take them to
the Wild Area.
Shaye returned Scorch and pulled out her Bike. She turned it into
water mode and rode across the water to the Lake of Outrage. She
put her Bime away and sent Scorch back out. She started to train
with her team. She had changed her line-up a bit though. Her team
was now: Scorch (Cinderace), Celeste (Galarian Rapidash), Moonfrost
(Snom), Mooncaller (Shiny Gardevoir), Symbol (Corviknight), and
Voltrunner (Boltund). She was actually at the Lake of Outrage to
catch herself a Drakloak.
