Having a wide range of activity helps. Shiny hunting and selling
the shinies you don't need, like you said berrygarden and
interacting, selling stuff from Rumble Missions is a good way (10k
per box and key, you can sell a pair of same-colored keys and boxes
even for 25k). Selling non-shiny Pokemon from your hunts gives you
small amounts of PD that will add up over time. Spend your Golden
Game Chips on the Golden Slot Plus Mode game in the Game Center and
sell the Rare Candies. Basically do a lot of different things and
sell stuff that you don't need :) Be active.
Im just using clicklist, but if you got a pokeradar, just rumble
and exchange your gems to electric gems, buy new batteries and
start shiny hunt. If you got a shiny, sell it.
Hunt rare, starters or special rarity pokemons, its more money

Well, I’m a minor example of ‘trying’ to sell art in order to earn
pd.
However if you want to earn pd by selling art, you can’t place your
price to too high at first if not there will be fewer player
interested in buying your art.
Using me as example, I place the price a bit too high and the
description of the shop is not very clear at the first, and it’s a
new shop that opened less than a week, therefore seems to be no one
