"Hey." Said Sapaku. Another pokemon was talking to her! But, she
didn't remember seeing an umbreon with magenta rings in the
neighborhood before. Was this a new stray? Why did it happen to
come on the day she turned into a pokemon. Was this a coincidence?
Magenta rings weren't normal for umbreons, even shiny. Her
suspicions rose.
Okay, don't screw this up. Maybe this shinx could help her.
After all, she was pretty sure the shinx must have been picked up
recently, as she knew the neighbors didn't have it before. Maybe
the two could talk as two pokemon that were new in town. "So, how
are you today? Life...normal?" Yoru asked, walking beside Sapaku.
"Yeah..." Sapaku didn't want to seem suspicious, so she tried to
speak as is she had been a shiny shinx all her life.
"Cool!" She tried to sound normal, but her voice squeaked a bit.
Trying to make up for it, she rapidly searched her brain for a name
for an umbreon. "My name is...Yoru."
Crap! The shinx hadn't prepared for this. She tried to
think. What would she name a shiny shinx if she found one on the
road? "My name is Sapaku." She said as calmly as she could
Startled by Fiona, Sapaku turned. Why is everyone talking to
me? "Nice to meet you to, Fiona and Yoru."
"Yeah." Yoru kept walking, this was so weird, every pokemon seemed
to be joining conversations together. Was this normal? Come to
think of it, where were the humans? Yoru couldn't see anyone, no
matter how long she looked. Hadn't everyone woken up and went to
work by now? Now she was worried.
Deciding to keep walking, Yoru left the neighborhood, not caring if
the others followed her.
Sapaku, seeing no other choice, followed Yoru. If she was going to
be a pokemon for the rest of her life, Yoru seemed like the easiest
friend to make, and she might as well not go it alone. She looked
at Fiona, who still looked unsure. Maybe her, too, though it was
weird, Fiona looked just as confused and freaked out as she felt
inside. Though Sapaku seemed to be doing a better job at hiding it.
